I played yesterday a bit just for some fun. Tried to get on today and it wouldn't connect, went to my account and I don't see "Diablo III Beta" any more, I guess it's done?

Someone told me they would be shutting it down on the 1st. I never saw an announcement from Blizz, but I didn't look very hard either.

Correct, Beta is over. I was posted in their Open Beta weekend thread that the Beta servers for people with invite would be open until 5/1, then it would be shut down getting ready for release.

I really need to get those maths done so i can play D3 ... urg stupid school. Game is already downloaded , but im forcing myself to not play it until im done. See you in the game folks.
