  1. Hey nice to meet you! I just came back to the game as well, highest char I had was one that finished the Gridania area of the story until WoW sucked me back in. But I plan to be back for good now. There's nothing quite like feeling like a noob in a video game all over again
  2. Anyone around that can invite? I'm on and my body is ready
  3. I do typical helpdesk work for an engineering company, it's not the most exciting thing but it was something right out of college and it's paying off my student loans. I'm also a part time assistant martial arts instructor and that's probably the most enjoyable job I've had. I mean I tell people I get paid to workout, walk around in pajamas, and yell at kids, lol. No special family members really, not married and still living at home. My sister, brother in law, and nephew live like 45 mins away so we always see them. I can beat my brother in law at starcraft 2 pretty regularly when he only goes marines and walks right into waves of banes. I definitely like dogs more than cats, my goal would be to have 1 black lab and 1 golden retriever and name them Todd and Copper like in The Fox and the Hound. My favorite boss fight over the years would have to be Azgalor from Hyjal in BC. I only raided as far as ZG in Vanilla but the first time we downed Hakkar we felt like #1 on the server, lol. But I just remember "Asshole-galore" as the one who would purposefully kill your raid and bring in doomguards from their deaths. Plus he hit like a monster truck and I just remember living from shield block to shield block hoping I wouldn't die in the 4 secs it wasn't active, lol. My favorite non boss moment would probably have to be when I won the Black Blade of Shahram from UBRS and they didn't have much in the way of internal CDs yet, so on aoe when I'm whirlwinding I'd see like 10 of these summoned guys pop out and flamestrike the area at once. Close 2nd to that would have to be Hyjal trash n BC, so many times we'd lose our pally tank to the waves of pure casters who would all cast sbolt at the same time and insta-kill him until I decided to try something. I was a night elf warr tank so I would move up the path and shadowmeld, wait until all the casters were in range and break shadowmeld. They'd all start casting on me and I'd haul ass back to the group and pop spell reflection. 8 sbolts come in, 8 sbolts go out, you can't explain that! Lol so I'd Intervene back to the group amd finally our rogues and such could interrupt the casts without pulling aggro and made the entire thing much more manageable. I could go on forever about great moments in my wow history :*)
  4. Whoops. Thanks for the double post, mobile, lol
  5. Awesome, thanks! I was a warr for the longest time, like from Vanilla all the way to the end of Wrath, then we started swapping roles and classes around. I stopped tanking and was a lock for a bit, then I was my warrior for dps, then I was a dk dps, then I was a shaman. But nothing ever felt as natural as tanking did in heroic ICC amd the 5 years before that but it's changed too much for me to get into :[ plus now that I've graduated school and have my 9 to 5 every day job as well as my part time assistant martial arts instructor job, I just don't have the time for a full raid schedule like I used to. I did get into a noob raiding guild where I outperformed a lot of people, but then I remembered how much I hated the structured timeframe of the second job that is wow-raiding

  7. I made it up as kind of a German-sounding name to mean "fighting spirit". I rolled a shaman in the last WoW expansion and they can become a ghost wolf for a speed boost-mode, so it kind of connected and it seemed unique to me, can't say I'd seen or heard it before. A ton of people would ask me if I'm German or try to interpret it literally as "struggle ghost" lol, but that's what I take it to mean. If I have the chance I'd like to remake this char or make a new one with a different name and go paladin straight away but we'll see if/when Leviathan opens up for new character creation
  8. Hey guys, I'm a relatively new player to the game. I did originally start back in 1.0 but gave up after like 2 weeks of the terrible performance issues. I've been back and forth in WoW and other MMOs but finally officially quit raiding, uninstalled WoW, the whole 9 yards and I'm ready to just enjoy my time feeling like a noob again after 9 years of the same game. I was looking for a social hangout guild/FC to talk to as I level and it looks like you guys might be a pretty good fit for me I was interested in rolling a paladin but I'd already made this marauder so I guess I'll end up going warrior for now unless I feel like making my way to Ul'dah and grinding out a gladiator class but I'm looking forward to seeing the story for now! I look forward to getting to talk to you guys in-game
