  1. I've decided to step away from Wildstar. I'm not finding the game to be overly enjoyable any longer so I've decided to not continue playing something that isn't fun fro me anymore. It was nice talking with those of you that I did chat up briefly. Seems like you've got a pretty solid community here and I wish you all good luck and happy gaming.
  2. I'll likely be around tonight, off and on at various times. I'll likely end up playing my esper, Espahoots, as spellslingers are not in a really good place right now. If there is a need for a spellslinger, I can roll with that character but I'm not sure there's much of anything a spellslinger can do that an esper can't. Update: Etol hooked me up with a ginvite for my esper and circle invites for my slinger and esper.
  3. I only leave the skin on if I'm using Yukon Gold potatoes. Russets get peeled. Herbs and stuff are good, but I prefer classic mashed potatoes myself.
  4. Probably like most other people... 1. Peel potatoes 2. Let them soak in cold, salted water for an hour or so before cooking. 3. Place on the stove and bring to a boil. 4. Boil potatoes for about 20 minutes or until tender and mashable. 5. Drain the water. I tend to just dump them into a strainer. 6. Return potatoes to the hot pot. 7. Add milk. I usually go with a cup or so based on the amount of potatoes. 8. Add butter. Not margarine, but butter. Usually a half stick for me. 9. Add seasoning. Salt and pepper for me. 10. Mashed those potatoes. You can use a masher for slightly lumpier potatoes or go with a mixer for smooth, delicious potatoes. 11. Eat potatoes. Nom nom nom. You can toss small bacon pieces and top with a bit of shredded cheese if that's your thing. A bit of Parmesan added before the mashing/mixing can also be pretty yummy.
  5. Relevant answers: Came here by way of the Official Forums - Widow Server Guild Recruitment. My characters are already on Widow. Not-so-relevant answers: Best live band I've seen: I've only been to a handful of concerts in my life that were big name bands, but I think my favorite show was at a little bar here in town where the artist was putting her music together on stage with a bunch of equipment using loops and what have you. It was just a different experience watching the music being built so to speak. I may have also been rather intoxicated at the time... Reading Stuff: I enjoy reading but I don't often come across a book that catches my interest and I don't often go out of my way to search for something to read. I guess I'm a casual when it comes to reading. The last book I read was the Broken Empire Trilogy by Mark Lawrence. It's fantasy with a bit of a twist with an anti-hero protagonist. Easily one of my favorite reads in a while. I generally go for fantasy stuff, but don't often go for sci-fi. D&D-esque I suppose. Another recent favorite of mine is The Goblin Corp. It's your typical rag-tag bunch of characters sent on a "go and fetch x from FarAwayPlace to save the kingdom!" plot, only it's the evil wizard sending out his rag-tag bunch of monsters. It was a fun read. Favorite Show: There's nothing I really have to catch every episode for but if I like Cartoon Network in the afternoons; Adventure Time, Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa. I recently watched Bojack Horseman on Netflix in a single sitting. Seth McFarlane's stuff. I'll sometimes watch Face Off or the Jim Henson Muppet Challenge Thing with the girlfriend. I don't spend a lot of time watching TV though. Best thing I've ever cooked: Mashed Potatoes. My mashed potatoes are soooooo good. Nom nom. I live in Des Moines, IA.
  6. Hello there, name's Dave but I adopted the Cahoots handle a few years back while playing WoW (that's World of Warcraft for those of you who live under stones). I'm 31 years old, going on 32 a bit later this year but I never really grew up too much. That's doesn't mean I'm immature, but I'm really just a dorky kid at heart. I love cartoons and kids movies, played on some heavy RP NWN servers (not Neverwinter Online) for a number of years and had an on-again-off-again relationship with WoW, from Vanilla through WotLK. Oh and I've dabbled in League of Legends for quite some time (I'm not terrible good at it, but not terrible bad either) and Diablo 3 for a bit after it was first released and then again for a few months after the expansion was released. Those would be the major titles I think most people would recognize with a handful of other titles thrown in there as well, but I already feel like I'm rambling... Outside of gaming, I live with my long term girlfriend of 3 years. She's a big dork too, so it's cool. She's not much of a gamer, but she's accepting of my time consuming hobby. She can hold her own in Mario Kart though, so she's got that going for her. We've got a dog (I say we, but the dog is mine. I've had her before I met my gf and while I certainly love my girlfriend, my dog holds a special place in my heart.) Her name is Kush (my dog, not the girlfriend) and we also have a cat named Rigby. I also like to partake in the fine herb known as marijuana (some of you may have already guessed that when you learned of my dog's name) as does my girlfriend. As far as Wildstar is concerned, I currently have 2 level 50 characters with no real intentions of leveling anything else to 50 (much less working on -any- part of the attunement chain again) that are both at the silver dungeons step of attunement. I started playing WS during one of the betas and really enjoyed it. Played with a RL friend who is no longer playing very much. He got me into a guild called <Viking Nation> that you may or not be familiar with. Long story short, the guild disbanded not long after I reached end game. I've struggled to find decent groups to run and learn the dungeons with and pugging it's a bit more nightmarish in Wildstar than other MMOs. As for my characters, I a spellslinger (Slingahoots) and an esper (Espahoots). The spellslinger has DPS and healing gear that should be sufficient for veteran dungeons while the esper is solely geared for healing (probably the better geared for healing out of the two). The spellslinger also has the 1200 PvP sets for both healing and DPS. I also have a few other, lower level characters as well. I'm still a bit up in the air with what I want to do with Wildstar, whether it be PvP or PvE, or possibly both. I enjoyed raiding in WoW, but it's a rather large time commitment and I'm just not sure I want to do it anymore. Part of the draw of SoH is the raid times/windows. I've never really done much PvP outside of Wildstar and I've really only done BGs in Wildstar, but I enjoy the telegraph system much more than tab-targetting so I've gotten a bit more into it (that and pugging BGs isn't nearly as frustrating as pugging dungeons). So yeah... You can contact me in game (Slingahoots, Medihoots, or Espahoots) or I'm sure I'll get some sort of notification when someone replies to this post. Till then.
