My computer's out of commission - I started doing a rebuild and realized I was missing something midway through! Offline til Thursday

Build build build! I've done five or so builds in the last 10 years and it's gotten easier/less frustrating each time. I would have been done in record time if I had remembered that DDR3 ram was obsolete and not compatible with new motherboards. That's what I get for trying to be cheap and recycle. Overall, you can get ridiculous power right now at relatively low prices if you build.

Wooooo I saw someone on reddit mentioning filing a petition to get skill points for periods with a subscription but no training. I put in a ticket, and now I'm got 4 mil unallocated skill points on Simone!

@Ashin or anyone else who might see this:
I'm on the fence about how to use these skill points. I spent about a third of them already finishing off Caldari Cruiser V. I could realistically get into the new alliance Nidhoggur fit (minus fighters 5, that seems unnecessary after reading Capri's post) by using a mix of the remaining unallocated skill points and six skill injectors. I'd be out of pocket roughly 7-8 billion for the books, injectors, and the fitted carrier, but I'd have a carrier! Couple questions: can I use the alliance fit rigs for PvE too and just swap the mods around? I'm going to need to rat back some of that isk! Second question, would I be better off using the unallocated skills to improve my skills more generally? If I don't go with the carrier option, I'm going train most of the command burst skills to IV, Command dessies IV. Prop jamming V, Graviton Physics IV, and HICs IV.

Super random but...has anyone adopted an "older" (talking 4+) rescue dog? What was your experience?

I adopted a 4 or 5 year old German Short Haired Pointer 6 years ago. He's a great dog! He had some separation anxiety issues for the first 3-6 months I had him. He would find stuff to chew and it got expensive (a roomba, Ipod, my boots, etc.). Eventually he got into a routine and stopped a lot of that. Training helped, although he failed his manners class multiple times. I had to go into the class early and hide all the stuffed toys, otherwise he wouldn't pay attention and would disrupt the whole class trying to get at them.
