It's a sad day for Kestrel... I'll probably be trading in the truck I've had since high school (10 years and my first wheels) soon...

anyone have any ideas/preferences on good sleep aids/ sleeping pills. I have not been able to sleep past 4am for 4 days now and the ones im using now are not working at all.

Remeron (Mirtazapine). Shit will make you sleep for 24 hours if you really need the rest. Problem is that you'll be groggy when you get up. It's good for getting a real sequence in after a bunch of days of not enough sleep. Not good for regular use unless you take it daily and get used to it, which I don't recommend for a variety of reasons.
Otherwise, honestly, motion sickness pills. Dimenhydrinate is the ingredient you want. It's in most. No adverse effects and you can take it daily though there will be diminishing returns when used regularly but it does work on most people. I take that if I have a long drive or something and I need to sleep quickly but not be fuzzy when I get up. PM me with further questions, I've been through them all basically. I suffer from insomnia and my gf's a RN. I often go a full week on 3-4 hours of sleep before a recharge. It's not fun.

But that means a new car, right? So it's a fun day too. When we traded in my gf's first car she bought last Summer for hew new car she was so happy to get the new hotness but she definitely had a little sadness letting go. The memories. I know that feel too. A mechanic who worked at the dealership was buying it for his 16 year old daughter so that was kinda cool though. We get attached to these things. Give it a nice bath and a nice drive before you hand it in =)

Sweet basil, purple leaf basil, cilantro, spearmint, chocolate mint, chives, garlic chives, oregano, thyme, lemon thyme, mini red bell pepper, sweet 100 cherry tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, mini eggplant, rosemary, Lebanese cucumber, swiss chard, stevia, and lavender. Our garden is pretty damn complete! Now to make sure it all stays alive, lol.

I do also have a separate banana plant, musa basjoo specifically, that's growing so friggin' fast I've had to change pots twice in less than a month. Supposedly it'll hit 6+ feet by August. Bought it when it was like 8" tall and it's closing in on 2 feet already. Just crazy how you can see it progress within literally 24 hours.

It is! And it does taste different than other mints. I just liked it tbh. As to the chives, thyme (and basil, though the basil is mostly because it looks awesome) yes it does make a difference. Need, no, but they were all on sale and we have tons of room in the raised bed so we just went for it. Stevia is simply because it's fun to pick the leaves and eat, honestly. They're so sweet! I'm thinking it'll be fun in some cocktails too, muddled. Kinda like a natural simple syrup! We're still missing a few things, now that I look up lists. Tarragon, marjoram, etc.
As to melons and berries, not this year. We're going to see how well this all goes and then get another bed for those next spring, start them earlier. Strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, and like two or three melons. We had a long debate about this over there lol. I wanted everything. EVERYTHING. But it's like 10 big bags of compost/vermiculite/soil etc. PER raised bed. Quite a bit of work. So this is it for this year. We have lots of room for more next year. It's very fun!
