The military gives the married person benefits way, way too easily. So many marriages start and end prematurely thanks to the extra pay and benefits you get from being a married person in the military.

But he is... He called his Girl after he called me. Then he called me again tonight.
Not a real surprise.. But between the end of Tech school August 27th and Deployment (1st week in October). I will gain a Daughter in-law!

So how far apart are the Air Force and Army bases in Korea? My boy will deploy first week in October, he has a six month tour:_mad:.

I will say that regardless of branch, despite my ribbing, I applaud anyone's choice to join the military. But not everyone can cut it in the Army...

Ahh... the sir reference was because the USAF calls their NCO's 'sir.' I was born and raised in Wisconsin, which people often confuse with Canada. So there we go, link re-established!

We can't all be perfect sergeant... or is that sir? Silly USAF... I'm US Army, 7 years in October, just pinned staff on Friday. Haven't deployed yet due to a couple lucky assignments in cushy strategic Intel units, but I'm about to start a year dependent-restricted in Korea. Been stationed at Schofield and in Denver, got a 3-year tour in 4ID at Ft. Carson waiting for me when I come back from Korea.
