Hey SoH Peeps!

Just checking in on if anyone is checking out New World?  Got a few in Sacrifice going in but not sure if its enough to guild up or search for something new.  LMK if anyone is interested and we can swap some discord info and keep in touch.  :)

Sounds like a really good way to allow the "guild" as a collective to grow and adapt to this quickly changing world of online games.  In the past it was easy to to see the "Next Big Thing" on the horizon, but with so many niche games, kickstarters and legacy titles these days, having 30+ people agreeing on them for an extended period is rough. 

I've made a lot of friends in SoH over the years and it would fun to get an opportunity to join into the new Cohort chapters. Looking forward to seeing this all take shape.

Update:  After getting into Shadows of Revan, I can honestly say I'm enjoying the journey now.  Not sure if the Hutt expansion was just that badly written or perhaps there was just nothing that struck a cord or made me care about it.  Revan on the other hand got you quickly into fun story by taking you to Koriban and Tython in the first couple solo flashpoints - and immediately i was hooked.  Returning to the Jedi Temple where I started and defending it, was a very cool flashpoint.  Fun memories from way back in the game and "I remember that" moments.  The NPC's and supporting characters seem to be much more interesting as well.

Difficulty wise, the flashpoints and bosses were a little harder in the Revan Prelude chapters then in the Hutt expansion.  I did not bother with many upgrades so the timed Boss kill was very difficult for me to complete in time.  Luckily switching my companion from healing to damage gave me just enough to complete it.  BARELY.  

So now i'm level 58, and on Rishi starting the campaign portion of the Revan expansion.  I hope it's just as good.

Finally, I should note, I am still simply following the main quest line.  I've had no need to do extra quests or group flash points.  I seem to be leveling just fine to keep up with the content just with story.

Update:  So I'm continuing working towards getting my Vanilla 50 to the KotFE content.  I have already played the new 1-9 Chapters with a fresh 60, so I know what I am playing towards.  Sadly, it's not been a very fun trip so far.  I just finished Rise of the Hutt Cartel and the stark difference between the game-play of the new chapters and the Hutt expansion is staggering.  Even from the level of storytelling, characters, and content it was amazingly dull. If not for wanting to get my 50 to Chapter 10 ready status, and KNOWING the better quality of the new story, I probably would have quit.  

From a difficulty level there really wasn't any.  I simply followed the main quest, did the bonuses that came up with each main part and I completed the content with little effort or gear swapping.  I may have moved out a couple pieces towards the final scene.  I made level 55 with adequate room to spare and the Shadows of Raven expansion followed right in turn with no issue.  Over the next couple weeks I'll try to get Vaxxtor from 55 to 60 through Raven.  Hopefully this expansion will be better for me.  

Once I sub'bed, I had access to everything.  KotFE comes free when you sub.  Hutt and Raven as well.

I have not played since SW:TOR 1.0 so all I had was my base level 50 Jedi.

I was impatient to try the new story, so I built a level 60 (you get one level 60 token with KotFE) and played through the story until I got to the new "Alliance Hub".  It was fun, didn't take long.  Now, however, I need to get my level 50 Jedi to 60 for KotFE because all my PvP Valor and Light/Social points am NOT going to re-grind.     LOL.  

I play during the day, so not many people are around so I started Solo Dailies Leveling.   My level 50 could not access the Hutt Content yet, so I simply talked to every companion on the Ship, got XP for that, then came to Corillia (Black Hole) and started the Daily quests there.  There is a "Travel Terminal" in in your Hanger on the Republic Fleet that will take you to Black Hole.  Then you can get the daily missions from the building near the landing zone.

EDIT:  I JUST CONFIRMED, THE MISSION TERMINAL ON YOUR SHIP ACTIVATES FOR THE HUTT STORY AT LEVEL 51.  Until then just do some dailies on Ilum, Black Hole, etc.

I'm sure I could do Flashpoints, or Battlerground PvP as well... 

I also need to get Vaxxtor in the guild, I forgot it's Character based invite and not account.

Sorry I missed that hookup.  I'm usually busy in the evenings.  I mostly play during the day.  Is there anyone on at that time?  If not, it's OK.  I'm mostly just trying to play through the new story.  I ended up making a fresh 60 because I'm not sure I have the patience to level through the Hutt and Raven story from 50-60.

So if I am level 50, and would rather play my original character rather then a "new 60" is there a path to "play the story" to 60 without a crap-ton of grinding?

I just reinstalled it last week, but wasn't able to figure out how to get my old security key removed from my account. 

I called Support last time I needed it removed.  I think they asked me to email or fax my licence.  Wasn't really a big a deal except for having to make the call itself.

I've been meaning to check this out.   Downloading now but probably won't get to it until next week.

I have enough Cartel points to transfer my original over but i'm not sure if I should bother.

edit: I went ahead and transferred my level 50 Jedi and 37 Smuggler to The Ebon Hawk.  I had a bunch of cartel coins sitting around anyway.

I'll probably start over with the Crusader and get my $40 worth...  lol

Looking for something to kill time so I upgraded my D3 to RoS.  

I did a Digital Upgrade from BNET, so I gotta figure out if this thing will autopatch or not...

My Jedi is already 50, I completed the Story line for him and he's 65 valor, so a Warmaster something I think...whatever.. lol  Not sure I want to continue the story line and buy the Hutt Cartel but I might try to finish off the Smuggler from 37 to 50 - if it's not TOO binding F2P.  It's not that i'm against Subscribing, I just have to know I have time to play before doing it, and that's my biggest hurdle.  

Hmmm, Just trying to understand this...  Finally patched up, and got in.

I'm Preferred Status, but Free to Play.  All my Titles are locked as is my Helm show.. I can Unlock these with Cartel points.

My question is, I had over a million credits but now I can only access 350k.   Even spending it does not give me access to my

other money, the ONLY way I can get to it is Subscribe or Transfer it with Cartel Points, Correct?

Cool...thanks. I got the key removed but I guess since I have no Sub now I cannot add it again.. I've been accruing cartel points though... 1700? I dunno what I can use them for. I'm on a new server now... Jedi covenant or something. Going to upgrade my client and see how things are.

I completed the Jedi storyline and made it through a good portion of smuggler (35-40?) and started a bounty hunter (level 15?)

I was soooo burnt out with repeated zones that I had no desire to finish them again.  Your post however has peeked my interest again, perhaps maybe It's time to go back and finish those stories.  I really enjoyed SWTOR's Character Story play.  It was the "daily quest" endgame, lack of playable WvW Pvp and lopsided warzones that drove me away.

Gunna start the re-download...

Edit:  UHG, Security Key App....New Phone... Gotta CALL Support to get key removed....  /gah!

Oh well perhaps another day.
