  1. Figure I've put this off long enough. Sadly, I've decided Wildstar just isn't the game for me, so I won't be playing anymore. Without exception, you guys have been awesome. Going to miss the guild more than the game itself. Hope I'll get a chance to join you all in a different game someday soon
  2. Quick update: I'm out the next few days. I'll be moving again and the internet options at my new place are less than stellar. Be back as soon as I can sort something out.
  3. Hi and welcome back! Hope to see you on Nexus soon.
  4. Have fun! Pictures, maybe? I already miss camping in California. Yosemite is beautiful and Anza Borrego as well.
  5. Hi and welcome Martyr! Good to have another DPS engi up in the mix. Looking forward to checking out your house. What sort of designing do you do? Any pets?
  6. Welcome back. Hope to see you in the guild soon.
  7. Hi and welcome to SOH! Got a bit of time to kill since the servers are down, so a couple questions: What are you studying in college? How'd you get the name NWMSerenade? I hear that. At least they'll be over soon.
  8. Just a quick update. I'm taking some time away from W* to study for finals next week. I'll be back when finals are over June 10th. See you all then.
  9. Hi and welcome Zac! A good number of people from my hometown have never left the state either. Swat Kats is a great choice. Now for a few questions: -Do you have a particular class picked out yet in W*? If so, why? -I lived in NC for a while too and surfed a bit of the OBX, probably mostly south of you though . Do you surf? Just ~6 hrs to go until launch!
  10. Welcome Avenge! What kind of running shoes do you prefer? I've been burning through pairs of Brooks Pure Cadence for the last few years. If you don't mind sharing, what's your chosen profession? I'm an Environmental Scientist and it seems Texas is a hot bed for people, like myself. that have Geology degrees.
  11. Hi and welcome Druthia! What race are you considering? I'm sure way more creative questions will follow mine, but what parts of the Pacific Coast do you enjoy? The girlfriend and I drove down the Oregon coast a few years ago and it was beautiful. We're in Southern California now, which is a different kind of nice. Where's your favorite place that you've traveled? What's the longest word you've played in Scrabble? See you soon in W*.
  12. HI and welcome Pers! Don't worry about hitting 30. It passes quick; like pulling off a bandaid. Have any cool pics of your Rift dimensions? What class are you looking for play in Wildstar?
  13. Hi and welcome Bluur! So, who'd you sacrifice your first time through ME1: Kaiden or Ashley? I feel your pain on having an overwhelming steam library. The game that bothers me the most when I open Steam is probably The Last Remnant. I'm sort of interested in the story, but don't think it's worth putting ~70 hrs into. What's the one game you know you'll never finish, and why? By the way, Hyna might be putting together a Hearthstone tournament. Here is a link to the thread.
  14. Ivo, that icon is awesome.
  15. Ya know, my favorite thing about this guild thus far is that people have interests apart from gaming.

I know what you mean Reign.. for the longest time I thought gaming was my only hobby.. and then, a whole world of awesome opened up before my eyes. :)

Variety is the spice of life!

  16. Welcome. Hey, we're the same age. Chua medics unite! Anyway, I too miss those day long AVs. What was your favorite WoW class? The game has changed so much over the years. Based on your hybrid affinity and love of healing, I'm going to guess paladin. People here usually have great questions, but I'll give it a shot. So, you're stranded alone on a deserted island for an indefinite amount of time. You're allowed to bring two games (computer/system, electricity, etc. provided). No internet connection. Which games go you bring? On a different note (if you don't mind telling), how did you and Lluck meet up in WoW?
  17. Hi and welcome! Where are you from Skiz (can I call you Skiz)? So, what are your thoughts on ESO? Are you still playing it? I haven't heard much positive about the game, but the Elder Scrolls universe is so interesting to me and the graphics look good, that'd I've been considering checking it out. Seriously. Can not wait to play...
  18. Welcome! I wasn't even aware there was a Fargo TV series. Going to have to check that out. I'm going to have to agree with your assessment of the impact of raidfinder on WoW. I think it had some good effects, but it seems to have had a detrimental effect on the community. I'm not playing WoW anymore, but near the end of my time with the game it seemed like everyone had 7 max level alts and you would rarely need to even talk to anyone on your server outside of your guild because groups were created for you. Want to run a dungeon/raid/pvp, whatever? Just click the finder button. I mean I understand their point with making the game more accessible, but with that accessibility came an erosion of the community. Out of curiousity, what did you enjoy about the shadow priest over other casters, if you tried them? I never played one at a high level and am curious.
  19. Thought I'd drop in and say hi while we're waiting for Wildstar to release. Personally, I've been to busy studying for this frustrating difficult Calc class I need to graduate. Just playing a bit of Dark Souls II and not much else. Whelp, 8 days til Wildstar.
  20. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! @Bryant: 1) Probably more than a guy should have. Trail runners, Every day shoes, three pairs of sandals (just moved to Utah from California where sandals are appropriate regardless of circumstance), a pair of running shoes, snowboard boots, regular boots, lightweight boots, snow boots. 2) Mostly beer. There's a San Diego brewery called Ballast Point that makes an awesome Pale Ale called . Highly recommended. 3) Probably AC/DC. So many good songs. 4) Aliens. Ripley is a badass. What made you want to get into Environmental Science? What exactly is environmental remediation? -I'm not really a desk job sort of person. Worked in an office for ~ a year and found out it wasn't for me, so when I went back to school I wanted went looking for a job that would let me spend a lot of time in the field. Environmental remediation involves testing soil, and water for contaminants and chemicals. You then come up with a plan for the client to remove the contaminants so they can use the land in accordance to local regulations. For me, it means I get to be outside and the paperwork isn't so bad. Are you an altaholic, or do you tend to stick to one character? -I tend to stick to one or two characters. I tend to have a healer and a ranged dps. I dabble with melee, but don't really like chasing bosses all over the place. Otherwise I feel like I never get anything done. That said, in WoW I ran all the classes up to 90 just for a change of pace. What's the oddest thing you ever saw in one of your college courses? - I was in a Philosophy class a few years ago at a really crummy junior college and there was a debate going on something related to Plato. Anyway, this girl got into a heated debate with this guy and decided to dive over a desk to attack him. She literally dove over the desk between them. On the way down, she smacked her chin on the corner of another desk and blood went everywhere. I want to say she passed out, but I can't remember anymore. An ambulance came and took her away. Never saw the girl again; I'm pretty sure she was expelled. Did you ever live in dorms? If so, did you go random? -I've been lucky and never had to live in the dorms. Are you male or female? Reign could kind of go either way. -I'm a guy. The name comes from an old guild a few of us had. I took over the email address when the guild went under, so I kind of just inhereted the name. Who is your favorite band? What is your favorite song they sing? -At the moment, it's probably Minus the Bear. I really like their song Cold Company. I used to be really into the Hold Steady and Kings of Leon, but have since moved on I guess. Where's your favorite place to go mountain biking? -There are some nice local places here in San Diego. Nobel Canyon is awesome. One of the best trails in the US, or so I'm told. We're moving to Utah soon and I'm looking forward to doing some riding up there. So, where is your #1 recommendation? -As far as bikes go, I'm a huge fan of Santa Cruz bikes. If I had my pick, I'd go with a Santa Cruz Blur TRc in black. Fantastic looking bike and a dream to ride. I've been riding a Giant Trance X1 for the last few years and it's been great.
  21. Hello. So, I saw the post on reddit and I think SOH is what I'm looking for. Essentially a pvp server guild with friendly, mature Dominionites. I've played MMOs on and off for ~8 years or so. I've raided hardcore and softcore in WoW as a ranged dps, with a healing alt, for many years. However, I really like the healing model so far in Wildstar, so I might be rolling a medic healer. Going to give Esper a shot though to see how it compares. Really, it's hard to choose since so many of the classes are fun. I'm sort of melee averse in PVE since I prefer to be able to stand back and see what's going on. Looking forward to some warplots in Wildstar too. Outside of gaming, I do sort of outdoorsy stuff like moutain biking and snowboarding. I'm about a month from graduating from college with a degree in Environmental Science and am working on landing a job working in environmental remediation. Feel free to ask questions and what not. Hope to catch up with you all soon in Mumble.
