  1. I can put the word in for this kat..... I brought him to my guild and trained him to be the master healer that he is. I have raided with a ton of folk and hes about as legit of a healer as the come.. I know all the crazy stuff about him, so i'll let you all discover that at your whim. He's been a raid lead and officer for me for years and over many games. He is about as dedicated as it gets! A welcome addition to the crew!
  2. ...sometimes there’s a man… I won’t say a hero, ’cause, what’s a hero? But sometimes, there’s a man. And I’m talkin’ about the Dude here. Sometimes, there’s a man, well, he’s the man for his time and place. He fits right in here.... Lets Go!!

  3. Grats on the baby... and a BIG good luck. You will probably find that you have lots of free time after the baby, cause you know... they just lay there and look all cute and stuff. And since you will never EVER EVER sleep again... playing an MMO will be perfect! I jest, well sorta.... I have two boys. My youngest is 4 months so I know exactly where you are at! good times... invest in coffee and advil and don't look back! welcome and look forward to seeing you all in game!
  4. I am seriously glad that I have integrate so well into this guild as to promote restroom visits already after less than a week... To me that = winning....
  5. So... the new hang out for me is in the chat... I have and seem to be getting to know you all very much there. Much more engaging there I'll bring the kool-aid and we can chill under the umbrella... come on in! Oh and don't for get the dolphin!!! HAHAHA
  6. I have... had toy poodles for a very long time. At one point four.. now we are down to two. As soon as my youngest can walk and starts to potty train i'll take on another potty training animal. This time we are gonna go labradoodle. Do yo have a preference between the sizes and such? BTW welcome to the forums. I am fairly new here as well but look forward to getting down and cleaning house!
  7. Another Medic... sweet join the crowd and welcome! And just to be different.. im gonna say holy priest... Although I was a Healadin like Nyisha and we were the cool kids on the block.. So... text talk you say... nothing wrong with that!
  8. What part of Michigan were you at and now what part of Ohio? How do you like the 3rd shift? Would imagine it takes some time to get used to
  9. Yeah the old hotmail never sent my email verification through... and I was just too excited to get in on the conversations today with the rest of the folk here. If you could rename this one to "Brixz" that would be wicked awesome Brixz was the name of a bar that I used to frequent WAAAAY back in the day and love that it has a Z in the name... anywho that would be great... thanks in advance!
  10. Right on... My research is during my current graduate work, but long term... meh... haven't found that desire... I have been in school all my life, so maybe once I take a break i'll think otherwise... In the mean time i'll sit on the boat and fish and play video games with my kids.. HA
  11. Nice sounds like fun... I am debating on if I want to put my time in for my doctorate or not... In my world the only thing it does is add some paper to your wall. For me to teach upper level math classes as a professor we only require 18 grad hours in the state of Florida. So part of me says just finish the hours and not worry about it. I can teach all the ed classes I want currently which is more my style... Who knows.. CS sounds like a fun field to be working at that level... Im sure its a lot of work too to stay on top of everything.
  12. I taught high school geometry for around 5 years or so... lots of fun. Most of us do try to make a difference.. Do you teach now or what do you do?
  13. I used to live in Rocky River just on the edge of Westlake. Tons of stuff to do in Cleveland. Head to the zoo, the metro park, hall of fame. If you head south into Akron - Canton area there is the NFL Hall of Fame.. lots of natural parks for fishing and camping as well up in that area...
  14. Ok.. so here we go.. you can hold it against me for living there.. but then congratulate me for getting the hell out of Ohio and to the beach were I currently live. Where in Ohio Lindels do you live? I have plenty of suggestions from watching the amish churn butter, to haunted grave yards, to some sweet sweet fox holes.. HA Ya'll have to know that I teach high school students and college students, so your insane questions are most welcome...
  15. SW:G was indeed a great great play... and probably tainted me for ever with MMO's due to what I thought they were supposed to be like.. LOL As far as my troupe I would say we have about 10 that I keep in contact with on a regular basis. About 5 or so have peaked interest. And another email to my old guild members would draw who knows what kind of interest. We ran with like 200 members back during WOW. Dancing occurs only after mass amounts of vodka... I used to have a chopped 2000 Fat Boy. Was modified by a company called Thunder Mountain out of Denver, since out of business. Was picked up during bike week that same year. However sold it and put it on a crate to Finland believe it or not. My wife rides a 1200 sporty that was that sweet military style they came out with... she hasn't ridden recently due to that birthing child stuff.. LOL Transitive property eh.. more like the law of syllogism for ya hows that..... My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard Your yard is full of is full of things at large Therefore my milkshake is bringing it.... lol
  16. I grew up about an hour east of Columbus in Coshocton county, and then lived and worked up in Cleveland during my summers of college. I have been in Florida for about 8 years now and I can't go back to Ohio without getting depressed especially in the winter. LOL You are from Boston? I am sure you can relate to that miserable cold and grey for unending days! lol
  17. Once upon a time... in a galaxy far far away... ok it was really Ohio, but might as well been the outer rim... I started on this adventure in MMO's. I picked up Star Wars Galaxies. Super pimp game... I remember walking across a zone for like 5 hours straight and not seeing anything.. Yeah great way to start my MMO experience eh? Well next came WOW. I found a group of like minded folk on the Windrunner server and by the time we were done we were 21st in the nation and a super hardcore raiding guild. I recall the 9+ hour runs through the Molten Core and falling asleep mid run on Rag attempts. I would call that dedication I suppose? I was the assistant GM and we did 40 mans every chance we got. Our guild playing up through Wrath and then finally got bored and saddened by the changes that WOW brought upon us. We were looking for that vanilla experience. I picked up every MMO possible and played around as much as possible. Too many looking back did I play. Actually just did a reunion tour as I called it and leveled up a character to take a trip down memory lane.. good times.. I took up the GM mantle and took a group through SWTOR. We actually had some server and I believe some unofficial world firsts when it came to the world bosses. Tons of youtube videos if anyone is interested. Good group of dedicated guys that cleared all the content. We kinda got defeated when the game kept handing us broken Soa on hard mode Since then I have semi retired always looking for something to play and a group to call home that would be a part of my gaming life. I don't have the time to run the guild or build the websites like I used to, but definitely want to get back into the swing of things. There is still a core group of guys that I game with that are on the fence about the game, but if they do play it would be a troupe of us I suppose... Ok so that was like "brief" in terms of my gaming background... feel free to pick the brain otherwise... My real life side is a little more busy then it used to be... Im in my mid 30's with two boys, 5 months and 3.5. I am a school teacher. I teach high school mathematics, I teach college mathematics, and I am finishing up a masters degree. I live in sunny south florida where we ride motorcycles and fish and boat on a weekly basis. My game time usually is a few hours in the afternoon before everyone gets home and then 9 EST and after. Basically when my kids are in the house they are my priority. Oh and my wife gets some love now and again... However she understands and accepts my gaming priorities. So there you have a glimpse of this old man. If you want me you can have me...
