Good Day, I am here mainly because I followed JR over from DR and was happy to leave to join in some actual fun WvW action. I have been playing GW2 for some time now, though it has been with a few breaks here and there. I am a U.S. Army Veteran, so the disorganized gaggle-fuck that is DR's attempt at WvW really put me off of GW2 for a while and the only reason I returned was because of ingame friends such as JR. I understand that basic's of WvW small group and zerg play, along with backdooring tower and what not. My alt character does have a Commander tag though I do not use it because I have not trained or even really practiced Commanding much in the game. Other than that I am a pretty simple person. Currently I am attending school for Software Development so that does take up a decent chunk of my time and sadly one of the nights I have class is when the reset is, but that is RL for ya. I really look forward to playing with yall and I ran with a group of players last night during the Drunken WvW and had a blast. Hey all, I'm Derek from Indiana. I've been playing MMOs for... well close to 8 years now. I'm 24 years old with a BS in History. I've been playing GW2 since the first beta weekends, with a few months off in the middle for some soul searching. (read: girlfriend and other video games). I like to consider myself a very laid back person, but when it's time to get a job done I am definitely your man. I used to Co-GM my long time guild in WoW and have had years of experience raid leading. But that is kind of in the past. Now, I just like to be told what to do and enjoy the games. Souls Assassin is the SoH member who tipped me off to this delightful little group. Apparently, he shadowed me in game for a while during some Timer Bosses and declared me a competent gamer (which is really awesome to hear from someone not myself <3). He pointed me in the direction of this fine site, and after reading through all the different 'About Us' kind of topics you all sound pretty great. I have no problem being a contributing member to this guild. Anyway, look forward to hearing from you! -Derek PS: My current play schedule tends to be in the late evenings. I work tech support from 12-8:30 EST so my play doesn't really tend to start until about 10ish. Tues/Wed are my days off.

Howdy! Vesper pointed me your way and strongly recommended that I sign up for my time playing Guild Wars 2. I'll confess I don't do the guild scene all that much, though that's a product of rarely playing MMOs and not having lots of free time. However, after perusing your TOS, it looks like you guys have a great attitude and one that fits quite well for me. I played in the first Beta weekend with Vesper in his guild (Two Scoops of Dangerous), and played Guild Wars 1 with him way back in the day. I recently picked it back up in a foolish attempt to hit 30/50, but it's becoming rapidly clear to me that I won't have the time to do that. Outside of GW2 I generally play a lot of League of Legends (Peak Elo 1700 in S1), CS:GO, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I'm a fan of beta and alpha testing in particular, being in a few of each right now (just got into Smite's closed beta and War of the Roses' closed alpha today!). I used to play quite competitively in CS 1.3-1.5 and SC, but that was a long time ago - finishing college and getting a full time job sorta killed a lot of that. Not much to say about GW2 itself right now...I've had the most fun as a Thief though I played an Elementalist primary in GW1 and generally trend toward nukers. I also don't usually run too many different concurrent characters, but that might change here. I can dump my character names once I have the chance to log in and remember who I named what! Chances are you can find me wherever Vesper is, since he's still showing me the ropes for GW1/2. Any questions? Ask away. Edit: My "main" character for GW2 right now is Izlude Tingel, a Nord Thief.

Hi Everybody! I was sent here by Fera, whose guild I was a member of in GW1 until I stopped playing for a long time (hence the "reapplication"). I started back up to hit 50/50 in the HoM and get GWAMM, and now that I've accomplished both, I'm helping friends with their HoM track. I used to play a lot of PvP, mainly in FPS games, back in middle/high school. I was in the top 80 players (out of 30k+) for the Bombing Run game type in Unreal Championship (Xbox), in the top 300 for Counterstrike (still Xbox), and I won all of the Smash Bros. Melee tournaments that our school had. I came in 2nd in a Smash Bros. Brawl tournament in college, but I liked the previous iteration better anyway! For some reason (college? study abroad? I'm not quite sure myself), I sort of stopped playing PvP games, but still enjoyed PvE and solo games (especially RPGs). I tried some League of Legends, but was really put off by the attitude of many of the players (they were shattering #4 of the SoH code of conduct!), so I stuck with PvE games. However, in GW2, the WvWvW is really fun, and the PvP looks really fun, so I'd like to give it another shot! I'll probably be roaming around PvE a ton still, but I'd like to actually enjoy my PvP time again! After trying each of the classes a bit, some (Guardian/Engineer/Mesmer) more than others (Warrior/Thief/Necro/Ele), I found that my favorite was the Ranger, and got myself to level 28 in the beta. I'm looking forward to the stress test this Monday to play again for a few hours and get my fix. I'm currently the guild leader (in the beta) of Two Scoops of Dangerous, but I'll have to see how involved my friends get in the game, since many of them seem to be leaning towards Diablo III. I think we wound up on Steamspur Mountains after switching a few times. We had switched from Crystal Desert because it became heavily-populated right away to Moledune because it was "medium population", then to Steamspur because Moledune was getting absolutely wrecked in WvW. But that's just for the beta anyway! Anyway, I'll end the wall of text here with my in-game contact info in GW1 and GW2 (beta)!
