  1. In-game Nickname: Artaxerxes Race: Mechari Class: Warrior Focus: PvE DPS (Could have a tanking build and gear on the side if needed). Professions: Armorer, Master Crafter (Currently working on getting the crafting vouchers to learn the Adventus armor set). I'm applying to your guild by reference of Darlantan. I played with him and 3 other of your members in a Crimelords of Witevale veteran run. The run was smooth and fast wich peak my interest to join your guild since I still don't have one. My goal is to experience end-game content including veteran adventures, veteran dungeon, 20-man raids and 40 man raids. I'm pretty focused on clearing content, don't mind the wipes and repair bills, and you will get no drama from me. I'm not really a PvP guy, I joined a PvP server because my friends selected this server and I followed them but I guess I could also do some PvP on the side if its required. I tried to include all the information that seemed relevant at the moment. Some of your guild members played with me and that could be reference to my skills if needed. I'm not talkign about stats yet since I've only been lvl 50 for 2 days and still need to gear up. I guess this is it. Thank you for your consideration.
  2. Name- Vashyne Backround- First got into MMO’s back in the DAOC days. While my time there was pretty quick, it wasn’t until WoW(shocker) that I started to get into hardcore raiding. The days of 40 man raids have always been, and will always be the best time I’ve had in an MMO. I’ve raided Vanilla, BC,WOTLK, and MoP. Most of the time I am playing tanks (which I absolutely love) and only found myself in the healer shoes in MoP. I also did 20 man raids in SWTOR where once again I played a Guardian tank. Alas, with lack of content, and people jumping ship, we only managed to clear the first two raids on normal difficulty. My friend, and fellow co-worker Indigosha, got me into Wildstar during the beta and found it to be one of the only MMO’s that has managed to hold my interest other than the above mentioned games. Interest- During my free time, I play bass/sing in my band Main Street Lights. We are currently in the process of writing a full length album, and hope to hit the studio by the end of the summer! Exciting times! Role- I am looking to play a Draken or Mechari Warrior You guys seemed like a pretty rad bunch (and will be even more radical-er with me in it.) I would love to join the Dominion ranks with all you by my side! XoXo Vashyne
  3. Oh Hi! I didn't see you there! Let me just draw my swords and I'll show you what these beauties can do! As you've probably already figured, I am a Fury Warrior, currently 528 ilvl, and am very interested in your guild, therefore am applying to it. I'll use the next few paragraphs to get the official stuff out of the way and then we'll get to the fun part! I do know what you're not recruiting until you get Lei Shen down, but I'll take the chance to drop my application now anyway Armory Link: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/thrall/Ragebarr/advanced Current Interface (in combat) http://i.imgur.com/EG4Gfra.jpg Recent Parses http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/zjzjdanqhxt0rkwt/ http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/am2r7tw5o8c7bebk/ http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/eaiqgv92e5v6kxlq/ All logs form my current guild: http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/129435/ I would like to add that should you chose to review my logs, I would really appreciate any feedback, be it positive or negative, as it would present for me an opportunity to get better. Alright, now we can jump into the fun stuff! Who am I - As a player I am a warrior at heart. WoW is currently the game I'm playing the most, and whereas I can play any class to a decent level if I need to, there is nothing I enjoy as much as DPSing as a Fury Warrior. I can play Arms and Prot when needed, though. I also currently have at max level an undergeared Blood/UH/Frost Dk (aroudn 500 ilvl) and a very undergeared Ele/Resto shaman (around 470 ilvl) but I can play both of those if needed, even if they are nowhere near as fun to play as Ragebarr. My goal as a player is to always be the best I can. The only person I'm trying to be better than every week is myself. If for a given week I do worse than I did the week before then I have failed. No matter which toon I'm playing though, I am almost always in-game if I'm home. I love to do anything in this game, from soloing old content to running old raids with friends for funs. I make bad puns in guild chat and I like to pick at people I play with. The other games I am currently playing are Mass Effect (the full trilogy), Diablo 3 from time to time and Starcraft 2 when I feel like being bad at an RTS. I'll also add that I am currently the warrior moderator on the Ivy-Vein forums, dealing mostly with everything related to Fury. I am currently maintaining a small Fury Guide over there that you can check out at http://www.icy-veins.com/forums/topic/1797-53-fury-warrior-tips-talents-and-gear-questions/ I have gotten this moderator spot not because I know everything about Fury warriors, but because when there is something I don't know I always want to learn about it. There is no better feeling than going to bed at night knowing you've learned about something new today, be it a new tip on how to use your CD's as a warrior, a new math concept or the dangers of ionic radiation. Who am I - As a human My name is Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey, I am a french Canadian currently living in Montreal, Quebec. I'm currently a student in Software Engineering at École Polytechnique de Montréal, which is known to be one of the bests (if not the best) engineering school in Canada. If you wonder, I can assure my school schedule will not interfere with raiding. I've been raiding for the past 2 years and never had to miss a raid due to university issues. As you may have guessed, English is my 2nd language, French being my native one. I still think I'm able to handle English pretty well Moving away from gaming, I enjoy going on Bike rides every now and then (in early june this year I went on a 3 days trip with only a backpack and a tent and it was awesome) and I love swimming. Other than that I'm not a big fan of sports (I do watch hockey, because I am canadian). Last but not least, my native french language has given me something a lot of people I've raided with (especially females) have called a "Sexy French Accent". What am I doing here? I've decided to apply to South of Heaven because this guild is basically the guild I've been dreaming for. Now, I know this sounds childish, but let me explain: Ever since I started playing WoW mid-Wotlk I've looked up at heroic raiders kind of in awe. Always getting the first kills, always having to overcome the biggest challenges, and being in a spot where 25 people have to be *together* to make things happen. The moment I started playing WoW, I said to myself: "This is what I want to be". However, I simply don't want to commit to raiding 5-6 days a week to get those harder heroic kills. I play WoW often enough that I could, in theory, raid 7 days a week, however I want to have the possibility to have an outside life. I mean, I have 1 real life friend and tons of other games to play! from what I've seen and gathered, you guys raid with a small, thight schedule, which would work perfectly with my current lifestyle and you get the kills which I've always wanted to be a part of. Also, I want to raid something bigger than 10 man. I want to feel the epicness of killing a boss not with 24 other players, but with 24 friends. I am not looking for a guild only to get loot or kills. They are part of the game, and I'm up to the challenge, but what I am really looking for is a place I can call home. I am not a guild or team hopper, and should you recruit me, I am there to stay. I've been in my current guild for 95% of my WoW career (The guild did change of name and leadership in march this year but the core is the same) and I plan on finding a new place where I can spend the rest of my WoW days. Why am I leaving my current guild & team? The main reason why I am currently leaving my current guild is a feeling of unhappiness. Raid Leading has taken its toll on me, and I want to be able to focus on playing my warrior to its limits in a place where I won't have to micro-manage 9 other people in order to get bosses down (and that was on normal). Now that we're pushing heroics, I simply cannot micro manage every player anymore, therefore our progression has pretty much come to a stop. As long as we had been progressing I was relatively happy, even if I almost had to tell the Disc in my team when to PW:Shield but I am now at a point where more and more members of my team are holing me back. As I said, I strive for something better but I simply cannot achieve it where I am. I have close to 0 heroic experience, why should you still give me a chance? I'll start this part by putting this out of the way: My raiding experience is almost only 10 man normal. Yet, I still believe I can be a good addition to your roster. The reason behind it being that I strive on new challenges, and that I adapt quickly and efficiently to any new situation. On top of that, I firmly believe my raiding background gives me an edge over other people: I started raiding mid-Dragon Soul in a *very* casual raiding guild. For me this was a first step into raiding. After stepping up to notify the Raid Leader of some underperforming members he ended up ragequitting the guild (the underperforming member was a healer which happened to be his wife) and the leftover raiders asked me to raid lead. It is a spot I've been holding for about a year and a half now, with a decent amount of success: I made our team go from 8/8N to 6/8H in Dragon Soul in about a month (Though with the nerfs I would dare to say DS didn't count as any kind of progression) and in MoP I transformed a team which had trouble killing Stone Guards (Normal) in MV to a team that is currently pushing heroics. My raid leading experience can help me adapt faster to new situations, and makes it easier for me to see the encounter situation as a whole instead of tunneling only parts of it. However, as I said before, I am not interested in taking the flag of raid leader again. I also believe that being able to concentrate on playing my own character, instead of micro-managing everyone, will only allow me to improve. I am also a fast learner, and once I ifgure something out, I never fail at it again. On top of everything, I am a very dedicated raider. In the past 2 years of raiding I've been late to a raid once due to a car accident and I missed a raid night once due to a power blackout. If I join, I can promise a 99%+ attendence. 3 reasons I'm a better raider than dancer: I have better hand dexterity than feet dexterity. When I hear the word "Dance" the first thing I think of is Will of the Emperor. When I learned how to shuffle (the dance) I forgot it in 2 weeks, whereas I still remember my spot for the lightning phase on Heroic Hagara. Thank you for taking the time to read my application, and I look forward to talking with you more and answering all the questions you may have for me. Best of luck on Lei Shen, Ragebarr
  4. In my endeavors to find a new home for myself, I run into the issue of striving to stand above my progress and to go further to place myself above the faceless masses of those seeking as I seek. Despite how I might appear at first glance, I tend to be a person entirely my own. I am tenacious, determined, intelligent, and even in some ways chivalrous. From my post in the WoW recruitment forums: "[...] I wish to constantly improve myself. My desire is to always reach new pinnacles of ability. I put a significant amount of time and effort into not only knowing my class and fights, but also know skills as a tank in general. I seek to output the highest damage I can while taking the least that I can. I love to optimize. I always want to know where or how I can move a boss to make the fight easier for the DPS or healers or any other way that I may do better." I am a timely individual and I take my commitments very seriously. Short of grievous injury to myself or a loved one, I make raids on time and prepared to down content. While I am a student, I am able to tailor my schedule to my needs. Most of my major classes are only offered in the morning, preventing any possibility of conflict. I am a very active person. I want to have friendships with all of those I raid with and seek to participate in activities with them outside of normal raiding. I feel that I raid better with people I have taken the time and effort to get to know and befriend than those who have remained strangers to me. As I said, I want a home. I am not looking for a transitory guild, but one that I may enjoy the struggles of progressing with for the forseeable future. As far as my experience with raiding, I have been actively raiding for almost two years. I do not, unfortunately, have any experience with 25m raiding. Notwithstanding, I learn quickly. In point of fact, I am studying aerospace engineering. I consider the opportunity to learn and adapt a joy and it is a challenge that I relish. My original raiding guild was a small guild on a small server, Leviathan of The Scryers. I was with them for about 14 months. In that time we cleared all of t11 on normal and Halfus on heroic when it was current, 1/7 H while Firelands was current, and cleared all of normal DS and (if memory serves) 2 or 3 heroic modes in DS before I was recruited into Kill Stuff Dont Die on the same server, who were 6/8 H at the time. The second night of being with them, I helped them down Spine and we went on to clear Deathwing a few weeks later. All members got their mounts and we continued on to get our server first H Ragnaros and got most members their mounts. The challenge and the triumph of that server first is a large part of why that mount remains my favorite. From there, KSDD progressed into MoP; however, the guild soon fell apart as a rift formed between the guild leader, the raid leader, and the officers. I followed the raid leader back to his server and his own guild, Fatal Americans, which is the guild I am now in. With loot, I find myself caring less and less about it. The particular gear I am wearing does not determine my skill and is thus secondary or tertiary to my personal knowledge and ability. I seek to push myself beyond my limits, to be a tank without peers, and to stand united with my guild. I do not want to settle for mediocrity in myself and view stagnation of my growth as the worst thing that could happen to me. To be challenged is to find ecstasy in my life and tanking is just my sort of challenge. With these closing thoughts, I shall leave you the links to my logs and my armory. Best of luck in your search. Logs: http://worldoflogs.com/guilds/246131/ Armory: http://us.battle.net...starriol/simple A small post script of things I forgot to mention: My ping is generally around 20ms for home and world. FPS around 40-50 in open-air raids. I could drop a few more settings to be comfortable. I have Mumble and I am comfortable using it. As for challenge modes, I haven't been abel to stir up interest in my dear Fatal Americans for them, but I've found a few people through the forums and my recruitment post and I hope that I will be swimming in gold medals soon.
  5. Personal Information Name: Connor Location: Ontario Age: 20 Email: durlroz@yahoo.ca Character Information Character Name: Durlroz Class: Warrior Spec: Prot/ Dps WoW Armory Link: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/tichondrius/Durlroz/advanced WoL: http://worldoflogs.com/guilds/147961/ UI: http://imgur.com/DrsqAEP Computer specs: CPU: i7-2600 3.4ghz RAM: 8gb GPU: EVGA geforce 670 Ti and I Have WoW on a 120gb ssd Latency: 90-100 on Tichondrius...its a west coast server... FPS:80-100 depending on zone and what else I have open on my pc (2 monitors best thing ever <3) Brief history of my previous raiding experience: Played fairly casual at the end of BC and through Wrath as I was trying to finish highschool on a good note. Started playing a little more seriously once I started college and have been since. In the last 2 years of playing I have cleared 4/13hm t11 (went back for the clear), 6/7hm t12 pre nerf (went back for H Rag and the mount :3), 8/8hm t13 at 10% and more recently 16/16hm? (15/16hm) t14 all 3 cutting edge feats. Previous guilds and reasons for leaving. Through Cata I was in 2 major guilds the first being Continuum on Ysera which I raided with for most of t11 until I took some time away from raiding in order to finish highschool on a high note. The second guild was Perfect Attendance on Kel'Thuzad where I raided t12, 13 and majority of t14 . Towards the end of t14 PA had started drifting apart due to divided focus some players want to be raiding more an pushing the content at a fast pace (me being on of these people) and the others want to be raiding as little as possible. I was picked up by Carebears Dont Care on Tichondrius for the ladder part of t15 after killing Hm Sha the officers of the guild, 5 friends, decided to leave an join Nurfed as they would rather raid 25 an on a little schedule. Instead of recruiting and changing our schedule their fix was to drop everything an move ME! :3 Outside of the same I'm a student going to college in Ontario studying Computer Systems Technology, I play soccer an squash mostly cause that's what i grew up with haha and try to stay health despite playing this game way to much for my own good also I'm single ladies . Inside the game I tend to be a very easy going person, I can take criticism when is have merit to it, if and when I mess up a mechanic of a given fight it usually does not happen again. I listen to given instructions well, I am always prepared for the raid both with flasks n pots etc but I also research the fight(s) for mechanics but also what can my class specificly do to make things easier. Lastly I have been told that I am able to get along with just about anyone (no not from my parents :3 but from past and present guildies). For any references of my ability as a player or lack there of feel free to contact Salameth, Scarlynn, Sebin or Puddi on Tichondrius they are the former leaders of Carebears Dont Care. Finally I will make sure to keep on eye here to promptly answer any questions
  6. I think long and self aggrandizing posts are weird, so Ill be concise and honest. Professional Information: I am a serious minded player who has been tanking since Vanilla. I tanked Zul'Gurub to Nefarion in Vanilla, Kara to Tempest Keep in BC, I took a break during WotLK but pug tanked through Sindragosa, tanked normal T11, some heroic T12, and all heroic T13 content in Cataclysm. I also have 9/9 Gold in challenge modes. Not sure if anyone in guild is into those or not, but it's something I enjoy and would be happy to run with anyone interested. I don't have alot of tanking experience outside of WoW. I played an inquisitor in SWtoR (Darth Darktoot on The Fatman), a Lancer in Terra, and a Chosen in the ill fated Warhammer MMO. Currently I am the main tank for a guild that is fracturing due to pre 5.2 malaise. I have 8/16 HM experience, and I am looking for a guild that loves to raid! I love, love, LOVE tanking! I'd tank even if there were no loot or e-peen involved. If it's a challenge to live through then I'm on board to throw a shield in front of it! If you pick me up pretty please don't make me dps. When I dps the keys all turn to vipers and they bite my face. I am capable of doing average numbers when called upon although I havent geared for it nor have I DPSed as an off spec since Cata. Armory: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/bleeding-hollow/Barr%C3%ACcade/advanced WOL: http://www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/202184/ Battle Tag: Insanoflex#1178 Personal Information: My name is Kyle, I live and work in Italy. I speak just enough Italian to leave native speakers staring at me with a bewildered look on their face (I assume they are awestruck at how awesome I am at it) and order food. I like rubber duckies and hate babies. I love swimming in the ocean, running, and eating oreos in my underwear while watching farscape. I'm married, 30, and unashamedly (at least on the interwebz) a blizzard fan boy. This seems like a skilled and fun group and I hope I get the opportunity to hurl my body in front of bosses for you. Hit me up any time if you have any additional questions .
  7. Hello everyone, I am Crazyindian from the realm Kil'Jaeden. I'll give you a brief history of my raiding / player versus player experience. In vanilla, I was a holy paladin raiding in the guild <Obscured Reasoning> on the realm Dalaran. We were competing for server firsts and were very successful until the guild started dying and people were getting burnt out. Most of us transferred to Alleria and joined <Risen> which was a top US guild. That's when college started for me and I couldn't raid that much so I stayed casual. My brother quit playing WoW and he was a warrior who also played with me. I took over his toon and then fell in love with my warrior. In Burning Crusade I was the main tank in a 25 man raiding guild on the realm of Alleria. Every since then I have been casually raiding and achieving cleared content in time. In WOTLK / Cata, I was on the realm Arthas, where I went Horde to join my real life friends who actually ended up quitting a little after Cata. They were the ones who got me into this game in 2005. It felt promising to me when they were saying how they will start up a guild, and be the realm first to kill Deathwing. So a little while later they quit . I joined Kil'Jaeden from the guild recruitment forums when a tank spot was needed to kite the bloods on heroic spine. I fulfilled the guilds dream of doing that, and then the guild went Horde. After I cleared 8/8H Dragon Soul I ended up starting my own RBG team on the server. I gathered players from top PvP and PvE guilds and ran as a prot warrior flag carrier and got my rated battleground rating to over 1800. So I am here now stuck here with the Alliance on this realm. My experience with this expansion is 6/16 Normal Mode with a mix of 10 man and 25 man raiding. When I read this post, I noticed that this is the guild I have been looking for. So now I am here apply. Couple of reasons why I am here applying are: Stable Friendy Nice community 25 man Perfect raid times that works with my school schedule. Horde A little bit about myself. I just turned 24 (woo go 1988!) Finally receiving my college degree next year (June 2013) From OHIO Friendly Live Stream my Raids / PvP - twitch.tv/sapu2007 Check it out to see some of my gameplay Outgoing Logs: http://worldoflogs.com/guilds/136531/ Armory: http://us.battle.net...indian/advanced
  8. Hello everyone, My name is Christian Dale or other people know me as Clisis. I have played sence beta but didnt get into heroic raiding sence Wrath and every sence then I have been pushing myself and other for heroic progression. I remember for hours on end that I would and the group I was with; bang our heads against walls untill we down the boss. I rarely do PvP because I do not care for it. I am a pure PvE player with interest of pushing myself to be the best I can be. I have been in some of the top progression guilds back in wrath and cata on blackrock and The venture co. I am currently on Mal'Ganis and looking for a new home. The reason why I left my pior guild was because I wanted to look for progression. I was contacted by ashin so I hope for the best. My experience with this expansion is 6/16 Normal Mode with a mix of 10 man and 25 man raiding. I am very experence with Prot spec because I have not only played my spec for 3 years now but I also keep up todate with the lastest information concerning my class and how it would affect my tanking. I do also look up my OS and find out what I would be able to do with it and how I can push myself to get the highest numbers. My current Ilvl is 477 Prot and 466 Fury 1H. The reason why I am interested is because, one I was contacted by ashin but also I love 25 man raiding. In my option 25 man raiding is more harder then 10 man so it gives me more of a challenge. If I do not look for a guild that can push myself to be better then I am not spending my 15$ a month wisely for this game. A little bit about myself. I am currently 18 I am a senior in Highschool I have plans to move to Colorado after highschool and do online courses in computer tech I love music and World of Warcraft Friendly Love to get along with people Reason's why I want to join Can make all the times for raiding 25 man Guild Horde Side Stable and has a full roster Progression Can push me to be my best I would love to join South of Heaven and I won't waste your guys time if you don't waste mine my 1 and only rule.
