Well hello, I am looking for a new home

Spec.

I play a boomkin I have been playing a boomkin for about 2 years now and love it. Before I played an ele shaman and changed do to the needs of my guild.

standard ability priorities or rotations?

Well to play a boomkin good is not that hard, to play a boomkin well is a little harder. I do the normal rotationm start one cast from lunar pop a pot then starfall push into lunar then incarnation dots and then starfall again when other one falls off and then CA at the end of lunar so on. the real things to look for are when to dot and do anything you can get push out any extra damage.

Why I am looking

I have been with this guild well most of the players for over 3 years. Our old GM had to quit the game due to work and so we merged with another guild. anyways it is more of them then us and just does not really work that well.

Have to Offer

I give it my all 100% of the time I always show up and do the research before fights.

I am sorry I am not very good at the whole application process. I have been with my guild now for over 3 years a little rusty.

Welcome to the forums... I don't know anything about boomkins but having no logs makes it hard for our resident boomkin to see what quality of a player you are =). So maybe runs logs on your own while you raid this next week during heroics and post them would be my only suggestion for you. GL with your app

As Arktos stated, we're really going to have to see your logs in order to determine if you'd be a good fit for us here. You can do this by setting up your own WoL outside of your guild, or if you do not feel comfortable doing that (since your guild usually blocks public access to its logs), running an LFR (more than just 1 boss please!) and posting that to a separate WoL account. If you decide to go down this road, please treat the LFR as a heroic-raiding environment and play accordingly (defensive CD use, potions, etc).

Thanks for giving us your WoL information. Although other members of the guild may not be able to see it, they'll just have to take my word for what they say! Mwa hahaha. As I always state when looking over logs, please take none of this personally and realize this is just constructive criticism (if any is actually given). I'm looking for the following: DoT uptimes (95%+ is a plus), offensive CD use, defensive CD use, general survivability, and utility ability use. With that in mind:

4/16 H Jin'rokh: I had to go back this far for two reasons: first, you died on two out of the last three weeks on this fight. What's up with that? Secondly, you were sitting out one night. Your choice? On this fight, your uptimes: 94.6% / 93.3%. This is pretty solid, although I'd even like to see higher on this fight. Defensive CD use was pretty lackluster (only 1 Barkskin on 4/16), although on some other weeks it seems okay. Your offensive CD use generally seems fine on this fight, although it seems you can't decide when you want to use your second potion (during Lust with CA/Incarn or during the second use of CA/Incarn without Lust). Tell me which you think is better. Utility use, on this attempts, seems good, as you popped a HotW Tranq. Is this something you do by yourself or is it generally called for? Overall DPS was 211k. This isn't bad, especially given it was a month ago. For perspective, I pulled 208k on 4/16 and 252k this past week. I cannot tell if you've showed similar improvement since you have died or were not involved in the kill.

5/7 H Horridon: DoT uptimes: 88.5% / 87.1%. This is not impressive at all. Looks like you used Solar Beam, Barkskin, and Stampeding Roar once a piece. Over a 10+ minute fight, I'd definitely except more usage out of all of this abilities. 1 healthstone, no other self-healing. Why spec into Nature's Swiftness if you're not going to use it? Your offensive CD use looks very on-point, except for the fact that you did not use a second potion. Why not? You had an excellent opportunity with all of your CDs + Lust active and a huge damage modifier on the boss. Overall, 232k DPS. This is very middle of the road.

5/8 H Council: Well, I would like to do some of the normal mode fights for this past week, but you sat out on all of them, so I'll do this fight instead. I personally hate this fight for whatever reason. Your DoT uptimes: 96.9% / 85.6%. That is exceptionally weird. I'm not sure I have ever seen the difference between Moonfire and Sunfire that large in a single parse. What's up with that? Offensive CD use looks spot-on. Defensive CD use could use some work (2 Barkskin, 1 Unending Resolve total, no healthstones, no HT/Renewal use at all). Utility CD use looks fine (2 uses of Innervate, Tranq'ed). Overall, 171k DPS. Good parse.

5/1 H Council wipes: You guys pulled Council 31 times this night. Looking at overall survivability, you were somewhere in the upper-middle of your raid at 92.1% across all attempts. Because I'm a masochist: you only used Barkskin 6 times across all these attempts, Unending Resolve 8 times, 7 healthstones, 3 NS/HT combos.

4/25 N Iron Qon: 92.1% / 90.6%. This is close, but not quite at our magic 95% number. Excellent CD usage, except that you really randomly used your second potion outside of your other CDs. Defensive CDs are fine given this is a normal mode, I guess (only 1 use of Barkskin, 1 NS/HT combo, no other defensives used). Utility use is also fine (SR, Dash!).

Okay, I've looked over a lot of your logs at this point. Some general summary: you appear to be pretty decent and generally know what you're doing. I'd like to see more defensive CD use, for sure. And your DoT uptimes are generally only "okay." I did not see a single parse with both of your DoTs above our magic 95% line. Your overall DPS also seems just...fine? If epeenbot worked for you, I'm pretty sure you'd be around the 50-75% marks on nearly every fight and a bit higher on others.

So, tell us why we should pick YOU. Show us some personality. You did not write too much in your introduction post, so woe us a bit. What separates you from other boomkins? Why would it be okay to take you after looking at your logs and seeing that you're slightly-better-than-average? It looks like you've got an impressive raid history on your druid -- explain it! What has been your favorite tier? Favorite fight? Least favorite of both? What do you think about boomkins in particular for this tier? Etc, etc, etc.

Why you should pick me. Well I do love this game and I am looking to find a place where i can can raid and have fun while pushing myself to be a better player, I see that I can improve on a lot of my play working on it . I can tell you a little about myself I live in Colorado am 26 have been playing wow since BC like i said, and have loved it from the start. I like to pvp when i can and love raiding, working with others to do something that not just everyone can do is the fun for me.

I feel with the right team I can make that "slightly-better-than-average" and make it an excellent player. As for raiding history at kinda middle of Wrath is when i really got into raiding for real. I joined Imperative it was a newer guild with a good core group of people. we ended up killing H LK US 50th and that was a good day for me. We just about always were top 100 us guilds and only 3 days a week. after the gm left we more less fell apart and i am looking to get back into it.

For favorit tier i would say cata was fun as a boomkin dots were just a lot of fun and o ya SHROOMS, at the start if MOP I was not in love with my boomkin but still fun we are looking a lot better as we get the gear and stats go up. the SS procs are a lot of fun right now as well. Favorite fight if can get good buffs on Primortus its a blast as a boomkin.

If you decide to pick me you will not regret the decision. I am a strong player that feels can handle task that is needed from me. I pick up fights fast i know i am a little behind where you guys are right now but feel I would have no problems with them. your guys guild is one of the better ones i have looked at fits when and how i would like to keep playing and feel your team is a good team to be on.

4/16 H Jin'rokh: About the deaths I am sorry I cant recall both but one of them i was the last person with the spart and got stuck on the the other side of the pool before storm and did not make it back, more less a bad call by myself. Yes I see I should have had more Barkskins on that fight I try to use it every storm to help out. Yes I cant tell what time is better to use my potion i think it would be better with lust due to getting somany more casts off. The reason I was having a hard time to pick is becsaue where we hit lust my Cds are 1/2 way done before my second potion will come up. I use my HotW Tranq when I am seeing that the raid needs the help with healing if I dont have a set time to use it in a fight, but for most heroics I am set in the CD rotation. I have not been put in for this fight a few times and no not by choice i really like this fight its fun, so i cant tell you if my numbers have gone up a lot or not sorry but each week I just about always beat last weeks.

5/7 H Horridon: sadly yes my dots needed to be a lot better. I use my beam on the dino just when our melee cant get it and again i do need to work on useing more D CDs as for other self healing I dont heal my self if its not needed. I use Natures Swiftness due to I am always the first person to rez anyone in a fight and I use it for that. Also yes forgot to use my second potion something els I can work on.

Well I hope I have let you guys know everything that you wanted I will not take up anymore of your time like I have said You will not disapointed with my play if you were to give me a shot. I know i have some things to work on, I need to use more potions and D CDs. That being said I do have a good survivability in raids due to not taking extra damage from things I can avoid.
