Adamant Stehl Posted September 18, 2019 Report Share Posted September 18, 2019 Greetings My name is Adamant Stehl (Daniel). I am an older player. Ive been playing Eve on and off since Beta. I have done many aspects of the game, but mostly enjoy being in NullSec. BUT, I am not looking for fleets, structure grind or any of that. Would love small gang roaming and everything that comes with that. That is my single focus right now. I am a casual player, 2 kids, wife, etc… but can play 2-4 times a week and on between 0100 to 0500 Eve time (I am in US mountain time zone). I can fly most ships, all four races from sub-cap down. Some exceptions on some skills but purely combat / scanning focused. I am currently flying a Loki and was roaming in Null during the blackout. Got bored, attacked 3 procures and got jumped by a carrier. Such is EVE life. Was worth the hands shaking and adrenaline pumping. I am looking to learn how to pvp better. I have done it. Got some solo kills (years ago) but to me Eve’s soul is in small gang warfare. I am easy going, bantering type of person. Looking forward to hearing from you all and hopefully joining in. I am on nights for discord interview. I know there is a Saturday roam but have a date with my wife. (first one in a long while). Hopefully another time? Nice to meet all of you. Go kill #$&@! I think you're going to find what you're looking for here. We have lots of local pvp options and easy access to the active areas of null. We're all learning too - we have brand new players and new pvpers and returning vets who are trying to shake off the rust. Taking the Loki in on those procs is a bold way to get back into pvp, i like it! We should be able to catch each other on Discord tonight for sure. I'll send you a Discord link later this afternoon. With the wardec scourge removed, I'm finding empire space to be much more palatable... Random question time! What's your best/favorite EVE story? Favorite subreddit that ISN'T /r/eve? Cats or dogs? So easier or harder to declare war. favorite Eve story? Got many but one that sticks out is seeing the first titan in the game of the first time. Not sure what year but BOB decided to come north and lock down Pure Blind. They cynoed in Shrike into EC and locked down anyone coming near the Titan with a huge subcap fleet. I was in a covert ops and got to watch the operations and see a Titan up close. At that time, first and only one in the game, un-nerfed too so it could take a whole fleet with one click. Another one, as a brand new noob, flying down a null sec pip to high sec in a fleet of 200? junk ships and everything running away. If they had made that change 10 years ago, who knows how many additional people would be playing right now. I'll answer the rest later, gotta finish this essay I procrastinated on... Will check in and see if all need help. I did get an e-mail to review a link on the forum but did not have access? Regardless, I read the code of conduct, Five Dirty words and other corp policy. I love it. Thanks for providing a community of honorable intentions. Any ships that would be useful for roams would be great to know. I can start buying and assembling. I love Merlins, kite. Have a Sabre already built and two intys. Have to Canes, one brawler one long range arty. Once I came back I went through high sec and collected assets and sold them off. Rambling.... at work. EVE story - My most famous moment in EVE was back in 2017 when all the big alliances just decided to have a fight one day. Our alliance brought a Jackdaw fleet and I was in a Sabre. At one point I caught a WAFFLES Nightmare fleet in the middle of a fleet warp. Half their fleet landed in a bubble 40 AU away, the other half was stuck in my bubble, and both fleets got wrekt. Subreddit - just discovered /r/historymemes/, and while I'm sure I'll eventually tire of the excessive Hitler memes, there are some funny (more original) posts.
