Hey fellas -
Just started dabbling in HotS. Always thought about it but never got around to it, guess I needed an Overwatch break
Let me know if you need another (newb) for some games.

You have offended the pc master race. Keyboard and mouse is better for all types of gameplay. It is known.
It is known.

Thanks for the invite

I think I saw you on Steam playing the other day but I didn't recognize the name. I'll jump in next time I see you on. I never see anyone playing anymore, this game is much more fun with friends
-
Sure, I'll be around, shoot me a txt. Should be free most of the day.
-
That was pretty sneaky. Can I still do that?
I'm sure there would be another opportunity, but you really need to play in order for it to be useful...
-
Nice. I was looking at upgrading the armor as well. Might be next on my list.

I've changed my go-to class to an Engineer...there is ALWAYS something that needs to be repaired, or people are needing ammo. There is so much utility to the class you just rake in the Exp. Plus anyone is happy to let an Engi run their secondary weapon b/c you can repair! And they use the same gun as the Light Assault, with an optic upgrade, you can still dish out good amount of damage in a firefight.
Learned a lot about the game this weekend, had a lot of fun, killed a LOT of tanks (I love running the anti-armor turrets on the top of those Tech Plants ).

I had a lot of fun cruising with Kiffen, Jay and a few others yesterday morning...definitely need a squad of 5 or 6 people to get anything done.
-
I should know to start playing a Medic/Engi during these base rushes simply to rake in the resupply/healing/repairing/reviving exp.
-
My go-to class is the Heavy Assault, because I hate vehicles and don't want to be left out in the open versus a tank...I think it's a complex I developed in Battlefield. My secondaries are the Engi and Light Assault. When I get enough certs I'm going to create a Sniper-hunter Light Assault loadout,...well, because I hate Snipers almost as much as I hate vehicles.

My Friday's are usually busy, but what time? Might be able to swing by for a few...

Just don't get into a plane with Yev...you won't get very far.
I guess I should practice my low-altitude barrel rolls on my own time.

Kiffen is soooo much better at this game than I am.
I'm gonna try to log in for a few hours before bed tonight.
I was playing ALL weekend by myself. WHERE WERE YOU!? I needed a bullet sponge.

I'm not sure what the naming policy is for this game, but I went with Bootknock. My FPS handle has always been Chief_BootKnocK.

I'll prob give this a go sometime around launch most likely, especially if it's a true F2P game as you mentioned. Always loved the idea of Planetside from way back in the day, just never had a stable enough connection to play. I've played all the Battlefield games since the beginning, but haven't played an FPS in recent history. Should be interesting.

Let me be clear, I am certainly not complaining as I am still finding the game quite enjoyable with my relatively small amount of play time. The only reason I brought it up was because I thought that was one of their huge selling points for all the Diablo games (and was for the first two games). So after exiting a game, reloading and finding the exact same map time and time again, I was confused. *shrug* I think a lot of people might have overlooked this missing aspect initially as it was not at the top of the very long list of complaints. Hopefully they add it in at some point!

I think the best thing on that list for me was the randomization of maps...I think that's how I managed to play D2 for epic amounts of time is because I never knew where everything was. Each time was kind of...new? I dunno. It's a small feature but it goes a long way for me.

Most likely, you'll learn that you had a serious case of nostalgia going. You were a different person back then, with a different life, different perspective, different expectations and different demands on your time.
This, completely. NES/SNES was amazing and I spent countless hours sitting in front of my television playing Mario or what-have-you. Could I do that now? No way. For a variety of reasons. Things are always more exciting and grand in your memories. The gameplay of D3 just doesn't fit with your style of gaming anymore. *shrug*

Observing people play this with the WoW mindset of "I need to do this first, as fast as I can!" really confuses me. It is and always will be a single player game to me, despite it being online. Once you beat the last boss on Inferno with the best gear...that's it. There literally is nothing else for you to do until A) they add a PvP system or B) come out with DLC or expansions. Why not just enjoy it? I mean, in essence, all games are built that way. Some you just progress through the much quicker (i.e. D3) or much slower (i.e. WoW).
I am still enjoying it quite a bit

Paladin Character, that is all.
This.

So...I had to wait to buy the game til last night...downloaded it overnight (which did not take very long at all)...took my last exam (yay!) and then immediately jumped in, no errors, no problems, nothing. Just had to wait a couple days is all

This thread made me chuckle.

Seeing as how the new Silversun Pickups album comes out next week, I am certain I will be destroying demons while listening to that.I generally just listen to the albums that I most recently purchased...for example when I played Tribes many moons ago, my soundtrack was Metallica's Garage Inc. Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale was A Perfect Circle. My first round with WoW was mostly The Mars Volta. I can always go back and listen to those albums and remember what game I was playing at the time.
