  1. you know there's apparently some sort of "barber" npc in the game right? you don't have to reroll to fix your toon's face.

    edit: after looking into it, it looks like I'm wrong about this. Must have been an artifact from the korean game on the closed beta/open beta servers.

  2. they are summons that are not on timers, you do get timed summons similar to the conjuror water summons later in the game though.

    the challenge comes with how you use the pet, if you want your pet to do anything other than auto-attack you have to tell it when to use it's "combat arts" and buffs

  3. while I agree this is pretty trash, the issue is that they're only allowing 10 channels per server for the intro zones. TBH, they need to bring that channel number up to like 25 if they want release day to not be a complete failure.

  4. sounds to me like the majority of players on Lumi are non-roleplayers who are going to an RP server for the "mature community" based on the assumption that nobody else is doing the exact same thing.

    This is typically the reason why most other MMOs have GM enforcement of the RP ruleset. Without it the server is going to basically be a normal server with a few people who try to talk in character occasionally.

    I'm just glad there are no Orc, Goblin or Ogre races in this game.

  5. I'm not going to disagree with you on that point, my issue with the game was the lack of accountability between players.

    Given the fact that players could create instant supergimp pvp characters they would do so simply to grief people on their own side without fear of retribution because they'd just delete when they were done having their fun.

    The game has surely matured by now, but this happened so often when I was playing (up until the first expansion) that we quit out of sheer frustration.

  6. i didn't catch the list earlier in the thread, but I'm not too happy about these timers.

    i'd prefer that we play on a PST server, but I know I'm in a minority here given that the bulk of our guild is EST.

    the thing that I'm thinking is that even if they do extend the timers it won't likely be later access it will be earlier access, because their primary concern is alarm clock raids against undefended forts.

    If we go with a PST server it's likely they'll extend the timers into EST friendly times, if we go EST it's likely they'll extend into EU friendly times. I just don't see them extending timers into the 1am+ range for either time zone.

  7. the specific thread I read was from someone who played a chanter on the live game to 50.

    They detailed that players have and will choose 2 clerics over a cleric/chanter for both PvE AND PvP because the buffs that chanters get make them "powerful" but the buffs are subtle increases to base defenses and attack power that most players can't quantify over "another healer that heals for 2x as much as a chanter"

    That said, I do see what you mean about WP in WAR. WP and DOKs were always "powerful" but small tweaks took them way over the top and they've never been balanced since.

    My other fear is that chanters will become the "noob class of choice" because they literally require no thought to pve grind and have the highest solo capacity with the lowest downtime.

  8. After playing a chanter to 10 and seeing the class forums for chanters I'm not certain I'll actually be playing one at release.

    They seem to be the most broken class in the game right now and I'm absolutely tired of playing broken classes even if they do fit my playstyle the best.
