  1. I've been doing my part to help the CC'ers get some practice, in the meantime. I will often use my AOE and break the CCs they have to test how well they can re CC them and help them learn to coordinate things. Riiiiighhht. THAT'S why I do it... :)

haha yeeaaaaah. Good job, Joe :D

  2. a sub-vent group for CC in theory would be awesome too. While we default to Tyrlis on "Zz" and me on "2" in groups, it can get sticky with multiple targets or unmarked targets, which then depends on a call out or defaulting to CCer1 of left, CCer2 on middle, and CCer3 on right.

Oh the possibilities... but yes, it would most benefit the healers.

As for CC, it feels like we are gelling and getting better at the multi-CCing facet as a team of CCers every time, the more we work together, as in not all CCing the same target then all having cool downs while three other mobs run rampant on healers.

We do a similar thing in our EQ2 raids within chat channels and calling out important cures (there are individual curses that must be cured or can wipe the whole raid, to which one healer must cure, but you don't want all the healers blowing their curse cure on the same person's cure).

We have a separate typing channel for CC and one for healers, and even one for scouts because they have some particular debuffs and whatnot. For the CCers, we macro some things to the channel so the others see it pop up, such as Mezzing a mob or when we do our manaflow (giving mana to individual or group) so the others see it and know to use their CC/mana on another target.

In the channel for CC, originally, I had created it for the macros and instructions as there were more uses a few tiers ago in EQ2. Now, it is really only used for manaflow macros so I know who has been manaflowed and don't double cast (since once the spell is on a target, they are immune during that time and time is wasted trying to cast it). It was quite useful back in the day when CC actually worked and mattered in raids though (In EQ2).

Good luck healers, as Bisquick said, it isn't feasible to type out stuff in PvP, but hopefully we can minimalize the vent chatter while in combat so that necessary tactical information can be communicated quickly and efficiently between healers, etc. or find an efficient manner.

  3. Here is the bot guild. I know i have seen others with similar names too.

    Legion Members Grade Level Class

    Hnsim Brigade General 38 Cleric

    Calypsia Centurion 37 Assassin

    Ryahl Centurion 36 Templar

    Zerenity Centurion 16 Cleric

Yeah, it looks like one main bot and three stolen accounts to me, personally.

  4. Aw, I'm so sad for you! :( However, on the positive side of things, you can get some crafting done, maybe go out and/or catch up on some shows, hang out in vent and chatter with us, catch up on some shows, and all that fun stuff this week! :)

  5. yeah, I had initially considered trying that game, but when I heard about that, I decided definitely not. I'm pretty sure it was all teen boys there, who had told Mommy and Daddy that it was just an MMORPG.

Besides the distastefulness itself, that is not what I want my daughter to see on our computer screens when we're playing a game.

  6. Hey, I'm one of them girl gamers!

I haven't ever really had any problems with other players in my many years of MMORPGs.

I haven't been with SoH too terribly long (it feels like I've been here a long time though!), but I feel totally comfortable being myself here so far!

But, I just got finished with work (10:30):(and am itching to check my broker before bedtime, so... kay, bye!

  7. That's awesome! Well, not so much in the 'falling to my death' part, but then again, it does bring quite a great image to mind. We had a total blast, all of us, last night. Win or lose, live or die, all is good so long as we're out there putting up a fight!

  8. Hey! I'm Eryalin [pronounced Eh-rye-ah-lyn]. I'm currently lvl 28, closing in pushing for 30 for new wings! I met many of you tonight running around the abyss; it was tons of fun.

I'm 34, married, with one 9 yr old daughter. We live in Tennessee. I work from home doing Medical Transcription, so I'm on many afternoons doing crafting back-and-forth between work. I have a degree in Sociology, minor Psychology/Criminology and worked as a social worker for about seven years. Very high burn out rate in social work! However, I love working from home.

My in-game interests are running around in the abyss, Elyos hunting, and I look forward to "rifting", though I haven't had the pleasure yet. I also craft Tailoring and Alchemy, although I'm not very far along. I find the PvE in Aion fun as well and enjoy questing, grouping, and whatnot.

My husband, Decompression, joined SoH tonight as well. We look forward to seeing everyone and getting together for some fun!
