  1. I want to do more RBG for sure, i've missed a number of the nights lately due to having to work on a project through the evening, that should be slowing down soon. I'm not certain yet what night I won't be free but one night a week i'll be doing tabletop games around the time we usually play.

I must admit though I am more than a little frustrated with the status of pvp at the moment. I enjoy our nights but as we've seen we don't usually get much progress in terms of our rating and certainly when I solo rated it's more like one step forward and two steps back unless I am playing during off hours with 20 minute queues and bad players. The gear discrepancy drives me more than a little nuts. I reached like 1350 ranking through my sporadic playing the past few weeks, but the last few days I'm already back to 1200. Largely due to teams with good gear.

I am hoping to make rbg this Friday and more next week unless something comes up with work.

  2. That's a good question Ashin, it might be good to have a list of guilds who people are having mixed experiences with, for us to keep an eye on. And a list where the guilds have proven themselves time and time again to be worth of a good whoopin.

  3. I would like to reiterate I think we should be careful about adding entire guilds for the sins of a singular event, for reasons already argued. Adding players to an out of game list I think is definitely called for, however punishing a guild for having a bad egg seems to be bad form.

As a solution perhaps we could have a five strike system:

This comes with a stipulation however. If it is just one guild member doing his thing his ganking only counts as one strike no matter how many times he does it as my guess is it just means the guild isn't monitoring his every step. If he brings in allies however that counts as another.

If we see a large group ganking that might count as two or three depending on how large it is as it shows more heavily an actual guild involvement. Though it depends on how they are doing it because they may just be doing something our members do, responding to a call for help and spending time clearing aggressors. Though in this case hopefully they won't be attack just every random lowbie.

I think levels of the characters should also be noted in determining this (at least from the standpoint of 1v1 or 2v1 even).

Anyhow I am sure that is not a perfect solution, but I think we need one. That said I am sure multiple of these guilds have already had their strikes, such as the Vindicators.

Also I quite liked Malum Factum on TC, im going to assume bad egg for this one guy for the time being.

  4. Hey Darlantan,

I don't mind either way. But I suppose it would be easier if I went by Canderous here so yeah if you can change it, I'll change my mumble login. That sounds probably the best route to go.

As for DAOC, I was midgard guinevere for ages but where I ended up really getting into rvr was hibernia/nimue. Mained a bard and a vampiir. Whatd you play? I loved DAOC, actually got back on recently and played some. Good stuff.

  5. Hey folks hope your early access is treating you well.

I'm dropping my application here after some encouragement from Kendrick (or whatever his forum name is here). I've been gaming with him for...a long time now, and played GW2 with him under the name Rule Raucus.

I have been playing MMOs for nearly as long as I can remember starting with EQ1 when I was in 6th grade. From there to SWG and Dark Age of Camelot, to nearly every mmo after that to some degree or another. Most heavily EQ2 for a number of years. I have done some raiding and pvp. My biggest stints in pvp was my time in RvR on DAOC and then WvW on GW2. I am very excited for Warplots amongst other parts of Wildstar. My main character is a spellslinger.

In general I have not been gaming that much lately as I have been focusing on other outlets. But I plan on putting a decent amount of time into Wildstar.

I am 26 living in seattle. I do graphic design work professionally while trying to get my writing going. I enjoy reading, writing, gaming(of all sorts), and long walks on the beach.

This application was brought to you by charmin ultra. For when sandpaper just won't do.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you and, for those i've played with before, getting to play with you again.

    Cheers,

    Canderous
