@ Hi Scynner, yeah for name selection I took the first names from pop culture and mythology. Last names are typically taken from politics or the military. I'm pretty handy on a grill and smoker. Years ago, my friends and I had a cook team that we ran for a number of years. Briskets, chicken, ribs, beans, are my favorite things to prepare for my friends. Unique marinades / rubs are what makes the difference - the key is balancing flavor and a degree of kick. FYA: sweet bbq is an abomination.

Cool, I think we can be friends.  Look forward to flying with you.

Hi Scynner!  I'm sure no usurping will happen haha.  Outside of this, well I'm an avid skiier, scotch drinker, and spend most summers at my buddies lake lot arguing about politics and slowly deforesting his lot for future projects.  Past that, its all about the wife and kids, my schedule after work usually involves a couple days a week of some sort of swimming lesson, ski lesson, gymnastics or whatever the wife dreams up.  Oh and almost forgot, stand up comedy.  I love good stand up, and am a big fan of Bill Burr and Louis CK.

You sound like a much more refined version of me.  I grew up watching an evening at the improv so I'm also a comedy nut.  I love the John Mulaney bit on What's new pussycat.  Anyways welcome aboard!

    @Ashin You might as well!

  3. Greetings fellow Canadian.  So you're an army brat eh?  Same here.  I live in Moose Jaw, SK and currently fill the SOHCO hillbilly role.  Do you intend to usurp me?  Please say yes.

What are some things you like to do outside of EVE?

If you don't like bread, I'm afraid this won't work out.

    Welcome!!

    I'm Andreas/Tinymanz/Tsia/Joaquin in game

Speaking of bread, I'm making my very first sourdough with my own sourdough starter.  The starter should be ready for its first loaf tomorrow.

As you can seem Em, food & beer are both big motivators for me.  Usually causing me to do silly things like sending corp emails professing how drunk I am.  Anywho, what are some of the things you like to do?

    Hello, everyone.

After careful consideration, I've decided to drop out of EVE.

I like everyone in the Corp, and I've enjoyed flying with all of you this past several weeks, but I've realized that flying with you guys is the only part of the game I'm enjoying. The day-to-day grind of earning ISK has grown tedious, for me.

Additionally, I've found it rather disheartening to find that many of the skills I worked so long to create have such limited utility, as the game currently exists. Moreover, a lot of the friends I used to fly with no longer play, either (not Goons -- screw them).

Also, what drew me to EVE, initially, was the ability to discover something new and different. As I've played, this last few months, I realized that part of the game was over for me, a long time ago. Essentially, it feels like an old shoe that I've worn for too long.

Finally, my own table-top RPG campaign takes a fair amount of time, and a friend of mine plans to start his own GURPS: Space campaign (based loosely on a combination of Firefly, with some Traveller and GURPS: Transhuman Space elements), and I plan to play in that. As if that weren't enough, he and I play Stellaris fairly frequently, CIV VI comes out next month, and I find myself enjoying multiplayer strategy games, more than I do, EVE.

I'll probably give Star Citizen a go, when (if) that gets up and running, and perhaps I'll see some of you over there.

You guys are a great group and, as I said, flying with you was the best part of the game for me. Anybody who wants to drop a line and say, "Hello," you can contact me at the Denver GURPS Group Forum http://www.denvergurps.com/  or you can PM me through the forums at SJGames.com.  I'm tshiggins, in both places. If anybody comes to Denver on business or vacation, drop me a line and I'll buy you lunch.

Fly dangerous, everybody. I'll see you around.

Sorry to hear that.  I will also be playing star citizen when that comes out and I know many others from here will as well.  Take care.

Right, I clenched up a bit even if it is only a big statue likely made of thin steel. 50 bucks says it was either drunk high school students near grad or a new snowbirds pilot getting hazed.

My wife lived there for a while about 15-20 years ago and wasn't even aware that had happened. Although now I will have to specifically ask her about it maybe she knows who did it.

    To scynner,

Im in new construction so the bugs didn't get too bad until I laid sod and created a bog by watering twice a day. Barely any wasps though.  Also that's awesome that you worked at the spa. We travel between Edmonton and winnepeg more often than is sane and up until this year we have always stayed at the temple Gardens. It's kinda deteriorating now and it's more worth it to stay in a cheaper hotel and just pay if we want to visit the pool. We stayed at the grant hall last time we were there but I'm not sure I'll do it again. The antique look is kinda neat but I definitely prefer a more modern environment.

I distincly remember an awesome Greek place on the Main Street but can't remember what it's called. All I can ever remember is Hopkins and the super cheap prime rib and drinks.

Well if your ever around let me know and maybe we can meet up.  Temple Gardens has been deteriorating because they are part of the Atlific Chain and the Spa has been supporting some of their other failing properties out in Alberta, however Temple Gardens has recently gone through some more renovations.  Grant Hall is beautiful but it sucks.  I've eaten there twice and the food is bland and soulless.

I had such a clever reply to this question but the Internet connection at the airport is hot garbage so it's lost in the interwebs now.

I I work in an oilsands mine in northern AB.

For fun I play with my 1 and 5 year old daughters, golf as much as possible while still maintaining the appearance of an attentive and involved father and husband (turns out this is like 4 rounds a year tops), work on my house via renovations or currently finishing it up as we just finished building a new one, and lastly play video games.  That sentence has awful grammar but I'm on a phone and annoyed by the Internet connection so oh well.

Im from Edmonton, AB. Normally I would just say Canada but a) you guys seems more intelligent than the average person who asks me that question on the Internet, and b) you appear to be from the big MJ so you know where these places actually are.

I I have 3 return questions for you.

    1) How many times have you visited mac the moose?

    2) How many tours of Capones tunnels have you done? (I am somehow up to 3 although I haven't figured out why)

    3) How could you handle the mosquitoes and wasps this summer?  One trip to the park behind temple gardens and I was trying to convince the family to pack up and go visit anywhere else.

Ah, my son lives in Edmonton and I lived there as well (about 20 years ago).  To your questions:

    1) I knew Mac the Moose way back when he had balls but was denutted because someone painted them fluorescent green.

    2) I have been on exactly one tour of the tunnels (Capone).  Kind of a neat story but my late grandma was from Rouleau, SK and she was friends of a lady from Rouleau who supposedly married Capone when he hid out here in Moose Jaw.

    3)  This year has been especially bad for mosquitoes and wasps, especially late August.  How are they out in Edmonton. PS, I used to be the Sales Manager & Catering Sales Manager at the Spa.

  8. Having the worst of luck.  Got another T6 female (F) and another T5 female (O).  I have no more males.  Ugh.  At least I got the black horse which is the colour I was hoping for.  I was trying to get a T6 male along with my other t6 female.  Time to take a break from Training though I think.

  9. I set up the auto loop which was nice.  Got my farm wagon going with my two t2 horses, m&f.  It appears when on wagon you don't need to feed your horses carrots, correct?  I don't see any stamina usage, just the wagon durability.  How do you set up to auto eat carrots if not in a wagon.
