With these colors and the lack of a ring, the logo starts to look like a strange ghost/angel figure now, which I find interesting. I'd almost like it if the stars of the background strip were not so clearly visible.. more of just an abstract band of color? I think we are getting really close here. What do you guys think?

OK now on that one the flur thingie and the moth look very interesting to my eye. I see what you wanted to do with the ring, but with those colors it winds up feeling a bit trite (think: life preserver) to me. Thank you for all the effort you keep putting in Glyff. =) As you recall, it took weeks for us to agree to a name, so I don't expect this decision to wrap up in a day or two either. =P Have you thought about omitting the ring entirely? Honestly I think that the flur/moth thing is interesting enough on its own so that it does not require the ring. Perhaps go back to your first approach of having a background image that the whole thing rests on; that might be more sophisticated.

I agree that the colors of the original moth tied in better with the colors of the text and backdrop. I also agree that it would be nice to see a few variations on the moth.

Honestly I don't know how such a difficult group of people manages to stay together the way we do. =P

For series my picks would have been (in no order): Kenshin Lain Evangelion Cowboy Beebop Escaflowne Also for D&D / fantasy setting, there is a classic series Record of Lodoss War that all fantasy fans should see. =)

As far as movie-animes: the Cowboy Beebop movie was fantastic. and old one that is sure to make even an iksar shead a tear is Graveyard for the Fireflies. Metropolis was not bad and had beautiful artwork. Millenium Actress is an exceptional film (nevermind anime) and really breaks the mold in terms of genre. There was also a great one that premiered in the US just a year or two ago that was produced by the same folks who did Millenium Actress.. I cannot remember the title but it involves a very unconventional homeless "family" living in the city. And if you have perverse curiosity you can always dig up the classic Urotsukidojii O_O
