I guess people left their sense of humor at the house when they left this morning.

The internet is hard to please.

Oh! /facepslm
Simple answer then . It doesn't add anything to the game or make it more fun.
NV has pretty much filled the role of what MF did for diablo 2 and has made stacking of MF pointless. If I just have to kill 5 packs and then I am garunteed 1 rare and sometimes more off of packs and 2 Rares off of bosses why is MF even worth using or in the game at all.
It could easily be removed and no one would know a difference. It needs to be either redesigned or removed.

MF design intent is pretty straight forward. It just increases the chance of a magic item dropping. I think it is something along the lines of 100% MF will increase your drop
Chances by 10% up a point to where there are diminishing returns.. So I guess the design intent would be just to increase your drops. So as you put Ashin, to allow you to farm for efficantly
As to where the stat fits in diablo3 I have no idea. With NV and packs/ boss dropping garunteed Rares I don't see the point of MF even being in the game outside of that it was in diablo 2. A game where you had to have MF if you wanted any chance of good loot dropping.

You are dead right about the auction house. There was a blue post or interview where they pretty much stated that the AH was not around as the game was being developed so they had no idea the impact that it would have on gameplay.
There 1-60 experience was great and it was well worth the money paid like you said but I feel like they had to rush it out before people started riots and it's starting to bite them in the ass.

It is like watching the barb from diablo 2 . But I don't see why this build would be nerfed, like you said it is really expensive to do all this( makes me very grumpy) and a set of abilities that have some good synergy. It also is not viable %100 of the time as you mentioned.

Seeing stuff like this makes me want to keep playing.

Props for blizzard for owning up to thier mistakes. Which is something they always do and will always correct course or fix what's wrong. If they don't get it right they will get it right eventually.
Also the endless grind for loot would be a ok endgame if they had some sort of alternative advancement post 60. They would solve a ton of issues with the game and it seems like that is something they have coming down the pipe and that pleases me.
But
I dont buy the " this isn't wow and we can't pump out content line". Outside of controlling third party and RMT what is the point of the RMAH? I assumed it would be a outlet for them to provide money for content updates and such.

I never participated in the gear switching so i am indifferent toward this and would prefer they put their development time else where.
-
im pretty super jelly with one with everything.
-
i am just gonna assume you got your threads crossed.
-
i would have preferred this version

Ok.. I'll bite. Basically, if those percentages are accurate as a cross section of the entire D3 community (which I find highly unlikely), it basically reflects that those who got the free copy through the WoW promo (in regards to volume of users) are no longer playing D3. (based on week 1 sales numbers).
It's 10 days after launch so it's fiesible to say that. It is also enough time that people could cap out and decide its not what they want to spend thier time doing.
-
Not that this example is a accurate depiction of the rest of the gaming population, but on may 27th on Xfire users hit thier peak of playing diablo 3 with 142k as of yesterday there are there were only 47k active Diablo 3 players using Xfire.
Thats a pretty huge drop off. Even if it is only just from Xfire data . Blizzard has got to input some sort of alternative advancement type system in this game or any meaningful type of end game( i dont think pvp is gonna cut it) One that gives perks like kripp mentioned or let you improve passive resists or stats would be great. Otherwise they are gonna keep bleeding players faster than swtor.

Alright. I'm declaring this one of Hyna's least successful threads.
Ever.

Thank you reddit.

idea of forcing everyone to re-level to 99 every few months would NEVER fly with Blizzard's customer base - not sure if I'm misunderstanding this or not.
He's talking about the ladder system in diablo2 which was a separate thing from normal hardcore and softcore. It was basically another type of competitive play that had a ranking system that you had to start from scratch when the ladder reset. At the end of the season there were prizes and such.
It was basically just more end game type content that people can participate in outside of pvp.
-
I dont how i can muster the desire to level another character.
Also it is probably for the best that you avoided the AH as long as you have. Nothing ruins this game more than having great overpriced loot stand in the way of progression.
-
Yeah a few of the pieces that i have upgrade i kept the replaced gear.
-
I got a 1k 2hander if you want it.
-
What makes you think that?
They increased rare drops from packs and reduced it from chests.
They said they were.
5) The pots/breakables Magic find nerf. It seems from the players standpoint that this is an odd change. Nobody that I saw was complaining about having to put on magic gear to maximize their chances and opportunities with pots and breakables. Yet the reasoning given was that you felt it was unfun for the players. Can you elaborate a bit more on this as I feel the players think differently.
After reviewing all the feedback we received following this change, we'd like to add items back onto breakables as well as allow Magic Find to affect those drops. That said, the issues that motivated those changes still exist, so we want to make sure that when/if we do revise those changes, it doesn't result in us being right back where we started. We don't want players avoiding monsters altogether in favor of farming breakables, and we don't want players feeling like they need to always switch to their Magic Find set before opening Resplendent Chests and other environment objects. I don't have an ETA to share right now for when those changes might be made
-
In a future patch or hot fix they are gonna put back in MF affect chests and breakables.
-
So did blizzard castrate resplendent chests or what?
What people expected, What they got.
