Na it's just what I had. I didn't want to throw a lot of money down on something that I wouldn't use in the long term. But even at 600dps I did fine. So last night before I went to bed in put up some bids for some 800-1000dps swords with LoH or High strength and vit.

So last night with a little fear and trepidation I laid down my shield and spear and picked up a 600 dps 2hander I found the other day and decided to try farming act 1 inferno. Leavin my "YOU HAVE 2 TANK 2 LIVE IN INFURNO" mind cocoon I found out something.

With the right skills and cool downs i could drop mini bosses and packs in seconds and as long as I played a little smarter trash was no problem.

Diablo 3 is fun and I enjoy it. I'm probably gonna be playing right up until gw2 comes out.

They got the gameplay right. It's diablo and I don't see how people can deny that , there be riches beyond measure, loots to amass,monsters to farm and beautiful cinematics to watch .That is diablo in its purest form.

I dont want to say the game isnt poslished. It works and it is mostly bug free.But it lacks the polish and thoughtful development of a game designed by blizzard and one that has been in development for 8-10 years(?). I would have personally enjoyed a more varried and depth skill system that they had before they implemented the simplistic one and would have prefered they developed the game with the auction house in mind and not something they had to add in at a later date to get people to use the RMAH. I would love to see some sort of alternative advancement via skill points post 60 so I don't feel like I am only grinding gear or gold.

But those are things they didn't do and sometimes i allow them to get under my skin more than I should but i/you have to remeber blizzard is pretty good about fixing thier mistakes in time. So maybe in a few patches this game will please the ones that are unhappy with the game in its current state and a expansion might give everyone what they really wanted.

I also think that some of the games harshes critics are blinded by nostaiglia at times and they forget that the company that made diablo 1-2 weren't blizzard. Those people are long gone and are at arena net and elsewhere ( rip flagship studios).

The post about his world first on reddit was full of people hating on him. I dunno why people hate him so much. He doesn't seem to be a douche and he does pretty informative vids on barbs on his YouTube channel.

I just chalk up the hate for him Becuase it's the Internet.

Act 3 in the dungeon below was always the gear check for me. The skeleton berserkers and those green jihad bomber dudes always messed me up.

Are you still running the 2h spec? In know in act 4 in hell I had to play more Tanky than I had in the previous acts.

I am also looking forward to 1.03 and some Ah changes. It is very annoying and discouraging to spend a night farming the butcher and walk away with nothing useful and a bag full of level 51-60 rares, but where It gets even more annoying when you try to take your bad luck money(crap that you sold) and buy something on the AH only to find out that everyone thinks its a decent yellow its worth all the gold in the game. Seriosuly, any decent ring with resists is going for at least 1.2mill and weapons dont let me get started.....

I think 1.03 will give me/us a indication of where the game is heading. If they can fix the gap between the AH, the smith, and act 1 Inferno drops rates it think game can recover. I happy with the game, but not some of the features and the retards on the AH.

It's funny and also amazing how far Korea is advanced socially when it comes to video games and such.

Some of the prices are a bit retarded High DPS weapons are going for like 250 bucks.

I wish there were some sort of alternative advancement outside of gear. Some sorta of tree such as EQ2 AAs has where you can gain resists, stats or upgrade runes and skills.

Out side of a throw back to cow levels is there any real bonus to running these?

By barb do you mean a mighty weapon or just any one-2hander will do?

I used the temp on the barb but then i finally realized he was pretty much useless for the barb. I picked up the scoundrel a few days ago and the added utility is great

800-1000dps 1h barb weapon(str or vit) with life on hit. The more LoH the better.

Stormshield (legendary) with 28-32%block~ high all resist+ strength.

This is one i made while checking out the skill calculator.

I started off diablo 3 with almost no frame rate issues. But now that we get further and further away from launch i am getting alot of frame rate issues when i load into the game or a dungeon and sometimes just randomly while i am out exploring. I am thinking its my crappy old ass HD. I am gonna pick up a SSD here in a few weeks and maybe that will cure the issue.

People loved the diablo 2 loot system because it was lazy and requires almost no skill or offered any challenge. By the time you reached high enough level to farm something you were already 15-20 levels above the boss your were fighting.

I dont see how people complain about having to start in 1-2 dungeon levels before a boss and working your way down all the while amassing 100s of 1000s of gold and killing champ/rare packs and gaining the valor buff for the boss kill. Admittedly though boss kills are greatly diminished to me because of the lack of a loootsplosion full of rare loots and the AH/Blacksmith debacle is disapointing. But diablo 3 is basically a reskinned diablo 2 in nearly every way imaginable

Also, what do you guys think about Rares and Legendarys being BoE?.

I dont think this will be as popular as they hope. Im not gonna say i will never ever use it. If it gets to a point to where i need 1 piece of gear to perfect a character i might throw down $5-10 for a perfect rare sword.

I had noticed that in the last week the buzz and posts in this section of the forums has died out
