I did once! Honestly, I'm still getting used to this whole doing-things-with-a-guild scene again and never remember to check the forums for the dates and times and signups. I actually wrote myself a note reminding me to do so, but then all of the stress of the past week or two has distracted me. I will hopefully get back into the swing of things shortly and be able to tank for you guys! My warrior is up to 496, not that item level means much when my grasp on warrior tanking isn't that great, but I shouldn't be too squishy.

If you're interested in pugging, I do almost nothing else right now. You'd be surprised what you can do with a pug and I'm quite familiar with a lot of players on Stormreaver who tend to pug on a weekly basis. You're more than welcome to join me. I can't promise smooth runs or decent players for every pug, but I can promise that a bottle of wine or vodka will definitely get you through even the toughest of runs!

Reading this has made me feel even more confident that SoH is going to be a great new home. I particularly agree with #4 in that everyone's actions reflect on the guild regardless of the situation and that people should understand and respect that.

I've played a rogue since beta and I can honestly say that the way the class plays (all three specs) at the moment is about the least fun/engaging I've ever known it to be. My only real attachment to my rogue is the achievement points and having always played a rogue. That being said I have a lot more fun playing on my mage (frost is somewhat viable again!) and my warrior. I think I enjoy tanking more than any other role I've played in WoW and am kind of bummed I didn't give it a shot until the end of Cataclysm. I honestly don't mind not raiding on my rogue. I noticed your posts on the WoW forums about needing a protection warrior and I know my tanking resume is about as lacking as it's possible to be, but as a player I am a very quick learner and I'm more than willing to put in the time and effort to gear out my warrior in order to raid (alts or backup raids are more than okay). I by no means feel that I am better qualified in terms of tanking experience or skill than any of the tanking apps I've read on here so far. I do know, though, that I will give it 100% and learn everything to the best of my ability. I raided in a server first guild as the melee class officer for nearly two years, I'm well aware of how demanding being competitive is and I believe I'm up for the challenge. (The pup is about 8 weeks old in that picture, she's nearly 6 months now and going on 50 lbs).

Hey! It's definitely been a while. I had a fairly rocky end to 2012 during which a lot of family issues consumed most of my free time. I am however, back (finally) and I'd love to join you guys as a social/casual member (and maybe even a raider some day). I would say that I am looking to raid but with my gear level on all of my 90s, there's no way I would ask you for a spot, at least until I can be more competitive in terms of being in a top 100 guild. I have a lot more time that I would like to dedicate to the game and as part of that, a community of friends. You guys definitely made a huge impression on me during the Heroic Dragon Soul run you took me on and I'd love to be a part of a guild environment such as yours. I do not, as such, have the best raiding resume, at least not recently. I raided in a realm first guild from WoW's release through Naxxramas (level 60) and then server 2nd-4th through Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, ending with Yogg'Saron. I am quite accustomed to the competitive raiding environment in terms of what is required of me as a player. However, I have not raided current content or pushed progression in a top 100 environment since before WotLK. If I am accepted and at some point have the gear level and opportunity to raid with you, I will be prepared on time, every raid night, ready to give you guys 100%. I also think, after rereading this thread, that South of Heaven would be a lot of fun and a great place for me on Stormreaver (if you'll have me). I have no particular attachment to any of my characters so if there's a role you need and I can fill it, I'd be more than willing to give it my all. Oh yeah, and thanks again for the gear and the mount during that DS run. I don't play for gear but I really appreciated being given heroic gear during that run when I most definitely did not deserve it in terms of DPS. I hope all is well, cheers! Also, I got a new puppy. Hello, Cinderous here! Once again thank you for taking me along for the raid Tuesday last week. I was quite worried I would not see all of the heroic Dragon Soul content before the new expansion comes out until I was given the opportunity to raid with SoH. So thanks again to everyone who carried me through the fights and took the time to explain them to me. Okay, so a brief summary of who I am and what's brought me here today: I'm a resident of northern California but grew up all over the place in a military family. I hope to be working in Formula 1 later in life after getting an engineering PhD. I'm a typical car obsessed person (we tend to be the most dull people on the planet to have over for dinner) and absolutely love driving. I love anything to do with math or physics and most other sciences too. I've been playing WoW since release and raided for server firsts all the way through Naxxaramas after which I continued to raid, but not competing for server first kills. This lasted all the way through Ulduar when my guild finally disbanded due to conflicting schedules and the most difficult boss WoW has ever seen: drama. All my raiding was done on a rogue. I currently have four 85s, a rogue, mage, warlock, and warrior. I started playing this game again right before Cataclysm was released in order to play with my girlfriend. I am quite keen to raid, but to experience the content and what is left of the lore mostly. As much as I would like to raid with a guild, I don't think our schedules would have room for a rigid raiding schedule. I'm applying as a social guild member because the guild I am currently in (Reincarnate) essentially disbanded while working on heroic 25 man Dragon Soul and is now quite barren. I had an absolute blast raiding with SoH last week and after reading your Code of Conduct as well as some of the public threads, I am even more interested in joining this guild. I am a very laid back player and do what I can to avoid drama.
