  1. My observations from a PST Cleric POV.

PvE: It seems like PvE wise, we seem pretty good. I don't see many threads, if any?, where someone is looking for a cleric. I can't really make the EST runs, which seem full anyways, and most of the time the PST ones are good to go -- which is great as well because I'm not all that fond of DP to begin with. When I check the non-DP forums, those seem to fill up cleric-wise pretty well.

Dredge: Noon Dredge -- I'm not really on for this time and when I am it seems like it's usually not enough for a full group. The 8pm dredge is usually full up and more often then not I back out and let the other clerics go and quick entry because I know I'll get a group at midnight. Midnight dredge, I'm usually the only cleric wanting to run (Not sure if Opal doesnt want to run, or she's just letting me get a run in).

PvP -- Friday night we started with something like 3 clerics and 3 chanters. But some nights we have 1 cleric. (I don't see the 0 cleric nights, cuz well I'm not there!)

So, what's my interpretation of all this. I would love to have more clerics available -- but they need to be okay with limited PvE involvement (unless others are sick of DP, etc and want to do less) and limited dredge involvement. Abyss PvP is where they are sorely needed -- so we just need to find a PvP friendly cleric(s) and make sure everyone gets a mix of what else they are looking for.

  2. Does that mean you're taking like a six week vacation?

Well, Tepid will be on holiday for like 4 weeks this summer. I'll be there for 2 of them. The first week is next week. The other 3 weeks are at the end of July, beginning of August.

  3. 1. Is it the full obligation of a legion member/group who has put countless hours studying, grinding away at a boss, and learning a fight to teach somebody who is just now becoming interested how to do it? If they are in the legion, and meet the "requirements", they should have the chance to go. Especially over a non-legion player. The chance is all that I would expect.

    2. Where is the individual obligation of members to get their gear to the appropriate level and to learn the fight some themselves?

Of course, they must meet the expected gear/stigma slot requirements as determined by the coordinator. They can be told in thread of /l or whatever, if they don't meet those requirements. If they disagree, and think they meet the requirements, then it would be their duty to coordinate their own group. If they have never gone before, they should be expected to be prepared the first time they go -- either with research or consumable or what not.

    3. and Do we want to try to follows Ashin's instructions from a couple weeks ago of telling people they aren't good enough for what we're doing, or is letting it go unspoken a decent practice? (I'm not talking about this Bakarma group, I'm talking about everything) See #2. Yes, we should do this.

  4. If so I will gladly do it if you will chill the fuck out about all this.

    Irony crits you for 5million.

Anyways, like I said, its the secret, back door stuff, that is creating the bad impression. You could have simply made a post that we need this, this, and this -- must have final stigma slot.

I don't know, this whole attitude is just not what I think SoH is about.

  5. I don't think Hunt has any plans to hurt anyone. I have seen all the temps get the "short end" of groups often. So I don't think thats the issue here.

BUt, whatever the intention, whenever people are not included with no explanation of the reason, feelings are going to be hurt. Opal sees a group form and an outside guild cleric picked over her and is going to think, well, they don't like me/don't think im good enough/etc./etc. Even if that's not the case, the impression is still going to be felt.

I don't know the history of this Bakarma stuff. Have we tried with guild groups and failed? Has there been some sort of ongoing group that has been going for months? Is there a reason that we don't post signups and include people not in the guild? I understand you need super high dps, but I don't think the cleric is going to be providing that much dps...? Maybe if we could get a reasonable explanation to that then I think that might go a long way in figuring out what the dealio is.

  6. <3 Tepid. Well.. to be fair that was *my* screwup. 99% of the time I can swap to new targets quickly and am already looking for the next heal target. Unfortunately, that means if I miss-target I sometimes don't realize I didn't actually change to the target I wanted to! In this case, I thought I had Trip targeted and blew my Flash of Recovery and Light of Recovery before I knew I had seb or someone else targeted. By then he was dead....

  7. Bah. I did let him die, and instead of asking what happened he got all aggressive and "what am I supposed to heal myself because I have a heal spell, is that the way this is gonna work?" WTH was that? Please, we didn't even wipe. And then he bitched about not getting the blue boots because I got the gold boots afterwards. Now, he didn't make a big deal about it, but it bothered him enough to bring it up in a group of people that he didn't even know, you know it was bothering him even more. In fact, the only time he said much of anything was about this or that loot and how he got screwed out of this drop or never got this item.:thumbdown::thumbdown: I'd rather have a character named after genitals then this fool.

Edit: And then he even complained about Seb not holding aggro!

  8. Hey there Sargyen. Welecome to the guild and forums. I'm sure they'll be plenty of threads around here for you to check out that may answer some questions (some in excruciatingly painstaking detail! -- cuz thats how we roll)
