  1. On Crystal Meth.....err Desert and in Guild.

Paperwork signed (wasnt gone thaaaat long was I?)

Mumble working but after chatting with Huntyre my mike has freaked out and will have to be replaced. Looking forward to the standard SoH Ventrilo response of "What did the Ozzie just say????".

Did have a 1001 questions but the forums seem to answer most of them, however I blinked.....and 24 lvls disappeared.

    All good.....

Oh and I KNOW - "change your sig block Bal !!"

  2. Gday all and Greetings from “Down Under”

Having returned from my jaunts around the world, I thought I’d suprise everyone and throw myself into the SoH juggeranaut that is GW2.

Grabbed a copy, downloaded a squillion files, read up on the details, strapped on my cloak of invincibility, and prepared my warped sense of humour. All ready to jump in and perform ‘catch up’ miracles and legendary suicidal stunts, and then…………..what the ????

    Crystal Desert is “FULL” !!

Okay which one of you warned the administrators???

Errrr ummm does this mean I have to start somewhere else and pray for a Crystal Desert transfer at a later date??

  3. In hindsight, I could have gone equally SoH-like, thrown in national pride, and chucked in a history lesson into the bargain

  4. Totally understand where you coming from in your post Ashin. Am still snowed under with my own work but dreaming of new challenges.

I hope those still playing Aion keep on enjoying it long into the future because realistically thats the main reason to play.

As for the rest (including me) - let us know new 'destination', send in SoH, and.............

    Queue music :D

Ok ok I've exceeded my quota.......will go away and hide :(

  6. Ah, the 80's. A time when jeans were tight and men would so unashamed of their moobs that they didn't even bother to button their oxfords.

Can't remember how to display these in post but they are the same song from the 80s - 3 versions (still popular now for motivational speakers).

From the 80s Aussie rules promo

    Remix

    And from Numbers

  7. Thanks to work spiriting me away overseas in the dead of night to play silly buggers in places where I shouldn't be, I've barely been on the last couple of weeks. Trying to balance work and family commitments and still get into Aion has proved difficult.

As a result.....I have decided to stop my 'Aion experience'. I was unfortunately getting on early morning US time and often finding myself alone. This is not an issue but more the fact I didn't feel I was contributing anything to the guild. The abyss was a deathtrap waiting to happen and pugs were few and far between. The majority of enjoyment I got out of Aion was running in guild groups or helping guildies finish quests etc but my hours have been preventing this from happening. I am a guild oriented player and nothing I've been doing of late has been assisting the guild (other than flying the SoH flag).

I will continue to monitor the forums and participate in discussions (pretending to know what am talking about). Hopefully my work/home life will settle down and I can leap boots and all into the next SoH venture when it occurs. In the meantime I may stick my head into EQ2 or Lotro but cant even guarantee that.

It doesnt matter about whatever game (WH, Aion etc) its the people you associate with that make the experience enjoyable and, as always, SoH has come through with flying colours. The calibre, professionalism and camaraderie of the guild makes its a honour to be associated with, and I hope to repeat the experience with you all, later down the track.

To all, still playing, I wish you the best of good fortune, and I hope you get everything you seek, now and in the future.

    Many thanks all

  8. Currently at work flat out, like a lizard drinking. Over next couple of weeks only able to drop into game for hour here, hour there. Not going walkabout, and account still active, just wont be able to throw mega time in.

  9. TristanofIsolde(?) recently made my list. Bad players that refuse to come in ventrilo make me cry.

This one joined a Dredge I went on and then sat out the whole session once he saw the opposition was a pre-made. The remaining 5 of us (including several 47-48s still managed to take a couple down. The tank parking himself at entry made our job even harder

  10. Of course being the slack Aussie workaholic I read all this way too late :(. Won't bother reiterating what everyone else has said but given the transgressions of hackers etc in the last couple of months, for something that has been admitted occured at start of game, sometimes I wonder administrators reasoning/attitude.

Sincerely hope our paths cross again soon Holy, and your 'blunt' appraisals of guild policy in the forums are always welcomed by those in the 'lets keep Ashin in line' fraternity. :) Besides that, they always make entertaining reading

  11. Safe trip back to the states and hope the relocation goes smoothly.

I will really miss you. We've swapped the same battle stories, been blown away by the same hobgobblies and suffered the same trials and tribulations as we've slowly crawled up the ladder of ranger success. So many times at godforsaken hours (for the US people anyway), its been you and me waving the SoH banner at all those Gold covered Elys. Though we've taken our share of beatings we've bloodied a few noses as well.

My Aion experience will be lessened by your absence.

Let me (us) know whatever you take up again once you've settled back in Stateside and I'm hopeful our paths will cross again.

    Your M8

  12. Just wanted to lodge my appreciation to Xxia, Jas and Seckmet for helping me finish off the last Betoni's quest.:thumbup::thumbup: They all jumped in at short notice (waterfall rift up) and endured deaths and mayhem at the hands of a pile of Ely 50s hunting us. Undeterred they kept at it until the quest was completed. I feel so much happier (even if its only a lowbie gold weapon), to be able to provide more bang for your bucks.

Now I can slip back into quiet mode and stop bothering guildies.

Once again many many thanks ladies and gentlemans....

PS: I even felt a pang of guilt for the poor afk templar who we raped on our travels home. Hes going to wake up and wonder the number of the bus that hit him. :)

  13. Don't think he's gone yet. Went through waterfall rift couple of hours ago and talked to npc in Storm Circle to get last part of Betoni quest underway. Kenichi, Phear and some of their friends appeared and destroyed me while I was talking to npc. All the green dots around me didnt agro them or assist me but maybe they were all too big? Either way he's still around

  14. Sorry to see you 2 go but you have to play where you are most comfortable because in the end if "playing" is a chore it's not worth continuing. I must admit I find my lag issues impact badly on my PvP experience. Mass battles usually end up with me mashing buttons and crossing fingers.

Seems like eq2 is the mmo we all go to recharge our batteries or relax until the next big thing. Will keep MM in mind if I return there.

Regardless of what happens you two have had a very positive influence on the guild. Your organisational skills to coordinate and assist the 'mid level' people are greatly appreciated and will be sorely missed (Bring on mentoring Aion !!). Your input into guild discussions has brought new insight and alot of valuable information. Speaking personally you have helped me on multiple occasions and have tolerated my odd group behaviour without going nuts and I will miss the ingame contact.

  15. None the less, we're talking about academic presentations - which aren't exactly exciting to begin with.

While it may be amusing to us, you may raise a few eyebrows if, in an attempt to liven a dull presentation up you go with:

"A funny thing happened the other day while I was tanking in SR................":o

  16. Hey Dinas. I hope you get everything sorted out soon. I know there probably isn't much I could help with, but if you need anything, I'm here.

    Ditto !
