My major tended to focus mostly on Post-WW2/ Cold War Era and Beyond Europe.
My thesis was a Compare and Contrast Between the Resistance Movements of Norway and Finland during WWII.
As enthralling as that sounds, 25 pages got quite tedious and quite boring rather fast. XD
I'm pretty much dedicated to PVE content, with casual elements of WvW thrown in. I really like the PVP style in GW2, it;s just really easy to get bored with it when you don't really have a group to play with.
And as far as repping goes, I am perfectly fine with solo repping SoH. My current guild was pretty much a random invite when I came back to the game from my little hiatus.
And with forums, I wouldn't consider myself 'avid' unless I had a definite reason to go back and visit each day/ get info. Returning to the forums daily wouldn't be an issue, but I'm not really the kind to sit and post for an extended sitting. lol
And more about me;
-Fera, the transition from a history major to working tech support was more out of monetary need than desire. XD I've always been good with computers, and the position opened up. As far as History-related professions go in my area, about the only thing there is is teaching... and thats really just not for me. My girlfriend, though; she starts teaching high school this fall. So I will just get to hear all of her horror stories. lol
-I'm a huge adventure/RPG style gamer. Final Fantasies, old SNES rpgs, Elder Scrolls... the list is long. I also really like StarCraft, I am just absolutely terribad. Oh well.
-I played WoW for about 6 years. Co-GM'd the last 4. Was a raid leader through our ICC normal/heroic 10 man progressions. That was fun. My guild transferred servers to Alliance Stormrage, and ever since then the guild just kind of fell apart. Most of the core members are still there, it's just not the same.
-I have a pet hedgehog named Wedge! And a cat named Edgar that is a Hemmingway Polydactyl cat! (He has 2 thumbs per front paw. It's cute.)
Also play time on the weekends is pretty much the same. I still work Fri/Sat/Sun, so I'm not available til after I get home at around 9PM.
