  1. I think my german not so bad is ...lol my wife smiled a bit ^^
  2. For horridon the adds just died too early most of the fight, and a full combustion or even a half combustion would never run its course, even long enough for me to then spread it before the add died to new ones. The real reason was I couldn't even get up a decent ignite let alone a perfect one on adds to then spread around. Also for w/e reason they refused to tank adds near boss at any pt so cleaving off the boss wasn't an option either. I'm guessing the adds either have more hp or you simply have more adds in 25 thus giving you a bit more time to spread dots around easier than in 10. For tortoss yeah I was the only real slower for the shells, and sometimes, many times, I couldn't even afford to stop and channel as I was continually tgt swapping to reapply the slow. Admittedly yes my up time monitoring needs to be better on invocation and better use of pom. For council again part of the problem maybe I didn't have the crit you do and was holding out for a bettter combustion that just wasn't coming. I'm also not sure but maybe you have more adds to spread it too as well in 25, ie more chances later in the fight after sul dies to spread to max tgts, for sure though I didn't have your crit rating and that really makes or breaks fire. As I mentioned earlier I was not playing at my peak for them as I was learning the way they did things and when to use burst for their tactics, but many times I was doing counterspells, freezes/deepfreezes,decurses and slows to help overcome mechanics at the cost of my own dps and uptime stuff. Negido yes she is German who speaks Deutsch, and I'm sure she would love to speak Deutsch to you...if not to hear just to how bad you sprechen sie deutsch? If anyone would like to seem me running a lfr by all means I will go and they can monitor first hand, and give critiques. I know I did it this week, but wasn't running logs at the time, jin-200+k almost assuredly near 100% uptime on invocation and max usage of combustion, horridon 240k, and council during burst (they bunched them all) 324k sustained throughout the lust...finished fight a little north of 220k. Anyhow leme know whats up I am still quite interested in your guild, and I know for a fact I have a lot of room to improve on...so being with a better mage will draw that out of me. Thanks for your time, Hiitachi(jess)
  3. -I joined vox 4 weeks ago. The trial ended and I was told with no explanation,or foreshadowing for corrections, thanks bye I never really felt welcome there from the start and the meeting was very cold. It is the only time I have ever "failed" a trial. At any rate I'm not upset with them and I dont think they were with me, but it just wasn't a good mashup of interests/personalities/humor types. -According to some, on paper frost is supposed to be better at BiS. I find that in reality ..and wol parses tend to back that up...that fire outperforms on pretty much every encounter this tier...at the right tipping pt for crit/gear. I have noticed since getting my 4pc and my crit going over 33% that the pyro chains keep coming now. With no actual math to back this up, just gut feeling, I would say anything north of 34% crit and 4pc is worth going fire for sure. On the flipside i noticed frost felt more viable at lower ilvls and roughly on par or just behind at my current ilvl. Frost is the "do you need stuff slowed or rooted" spec in my eyes and is pretty good for burst aoe as you can really line up some nice on demand burst with it for adds and such. Frost is also a nice spec for h horridon and basically ignoring and entire mechanic with your pet. Both are viable it just depends on the task at hand and the raid comp...in a 25man you probably dont run into the comp issues as much for slows/roots I would imagine. -long story short for jin'rohk I was just playing bad, I was more worried trying to max my output to remotely keep up with the raid(at a severe gear disadvantage) than my own survivability. I have since run it on my alliance mage and alleviated my shortcomings on that fight(which normally I dont have issues dodging things...on Vizeer for instance last tier I was usually the last one to die on attenuation rings) . Sometimes during timewarp/burst/alter time I would get interupted a fair amount kiting orbs (tends to be more noticable in 10s it would seem) out of the puddle and have to cancel burn early etc. My early fire parses were of course way undergeared for fire with long periods of no procs, hence I swapped over to frost after that week. Only after getting my 4pc did I feel comfortable swapping back to fire. Dying ...usually is not something I do in fights unless the wipe is called, rng just says no, or the healers get overloaded, it took me a few weeks to get comfortable raiding again after such a long break from it. I feel pretty confident Im back to where I was now in comfort lvl of my class, I was just playing catchup to this pt. I also dug and did some more research to see wtf I was doing wrong with alter time recently, and realized I was not terminating it when I should have and instead letting it run its course and using fireballs/pyroblast procs for 6 seconds. Now it would be pyroblast heating up procd+trinkprocs+pot(if aplicable)+images(if applicable)+presence of mind+alter time...back to back pyros..spam pyro, if no more insta casts then immediately terminate alter time and cast back to back pyros ..again going until you have no more insta pyroblast procs or cant extend via a inferno blast..At any pt in that rotation if the ignite builds over that "Sweet spot" ,I decide upon ahead of time, immediately cast combustion. I am noticing my sweet spot right now is anything north of 90k ignites pref 100k+. Ultimately you want to use combustion as soon into a fight with procs and opening burst as possible so that you get as many combustion casts during a fight as possible and in a perfect set up your combustion should be falling off the boss as he dies. This of course takes finess and just getting to really feel the fight to perfect when to pop it. My uptimes are usually 95%on a low uptime fight and upper99% on a regular fight for me in the past.
  4. I had to make the intro grand after all...and that just fit all too well . Hope it brightened your day. -Hiit-
  5. -About Me- "Aight, I put on my robe and wizard hat"- Bloodninja circa 2002 I mean who doesn't like wizard hats? They are big an poin.....oh yeah this is about me not a hat, although the hat is pretty sweet and its +5. Hi SoH my name is Jess and I am quite the eclectic collection of a very odd series of real world events, most were not unfortunate. I grew up in Indiana, got waaaay too many speeding tickets, got bored and joined the Army National guard. I stayed in the guard for a couple of years and got bored again, so I joined the active duty Army. I was so happy and on my way to Germany to be stationed there, it's funny because Germany looked an awful lot like Iraq...yep I spent 3 whoooole weeks in germany just to find myself in Iraq. It was hot, dirty, I mean they had whole cities that looked like home depot parking lots, and to think I wasn't even looking for help installing a sink ...and the latency was just awful. I mean no wonder they were all so angry, I would rage too if I got d/c'd all the time. After Iraq I made sure to enjoy Germany to the fullest when I got back, did you know they have gardens made of beer?....maybe its Beer made of Gardens or possibly just Beer Gardens...I dunno I was far too drunk to...er I mean "experiencing the cultural phenomona that is Europe." The Germans really take trick or treating to the next level, they have these huge tents with Beer and Beer Maidens...everywhere you go someone wants to hand you a drink, and it lasts all month! I must admit thats a hell of lot better than a Three Muskateers Bar. Hell Germans even have these marathon walks from village to village, where instead of gatorade on the side of the road they hand you more beer. I was starting to wonder if fresh water even existed in Germany. Then it happened, well alot happened, but then IT happened. My buddy drug me into a club in Germany that looked like the set of the newest Blade movie, my first euro goth club. Let me tell you this was unlike any goth club I had ever seen in Indiana. I mean the women had all their teeth, clean hair, didnt look like meth heads that got run over by a tractor trailer, they had it all. Thats when my buddy spotted, what he had hoped to be, his conquest for the night. There was one problem, she had a wounded gazelle of a friend that was passed out on a couch..apparently too much vodka took this mighty gazelle down. I, being the good battle buddy, babysat her whilst my buddy tried disastorously to woo her friend. As he did this I made two very important observations, this wounded gazelle was quite captivating, albeit black out drunk, but captivating none the less. I made one other observation, she did not like Americans, or maybe it was just me...my Deutsch was good enough to order drinks. This meant I had to get her number, I mean after all she was hot. I then set out upon the longest wait for a date I had ever bothered to wait for(I'm not even sure that is proper english but it sure sounds cool). She had given me her number, buuut she was going to be on vacation for the next three months and I was to call her upon her return for said date that she had promised. She thought she was being clever, and I would lose interest. Let it be said that patience truly is a virtue...I have been married to this woman now for 6 years and couldnt be more happy...well maybe if you guys say yes to my app I wll be a bit more happy ^^. We live in Long Beach, CA about 50 ft from the beach, have a dog and are just enjoying life...although with a lot less beer and alot more Porte Wine(Another great discovery I made in Europe). I am 33 years old, currently attending my last year of college, for a BA in Animation, out here in Los Angeles, enjoying watching movies in English, enjoying the beach, running my dog, spending time not getting shot at, and trying in general to just have fun. -Game stuff about me- I am an Aquaries my favorite color is blue(go figure), I can't find enough sushi to eat, and I love to raid. So much so that I have raided ever since Vanilla...oh the days of complex rotations/geming/forging/rep grinding/dailies/cd's/potions/raid wide buffs/vp capping/scenarios/bgs....oh wait that is the wrong expansion I am thinking of, it was just fireball ad infinitum. I have raided every expansion at end game content while still current in some fashion, maybe not to completion cause lord knows I was with some bad guilds back in the day, but def stepped foot a good ways into AQ & Nax 40 at lvl, Sunwell at lvl, ICC25H upto Lk at lvl, and H DS full cleared long before it was nerfed into the ground..man mage and rogue stacking for spine....oh my. T14 was finished at 12/16H while current, then guild fell apart ~3 months prior to end of patch. I took time off rather than find a new guild, I was bummed to not complete what we had started with good company. This is the only break in the game I have ever taken. I came back to the game about 4 weeks ago at ilvl 499 and jumped right into heroics blind, needless to say my first 3 weeks were pretty rough as I was both rusty, new to the group, and in general just didnt feel welcome. I was sub 505ilvl for a good portion of it and of course my logs will be in comparison to folks in near bis thunderforged. I am not perfect, I consider myself quite good and amongst some of the better mages in the game. That being said, surrounded by amazing players, that I enjoy raiding with, I find myself motivated to strive continously to improve. I miss the big raid days, I have been in 10s since the end of DS, simply due to lack of options to join good 25s that dont raid 6.5 nights a week, and they have less options for friends...you are either 100% in or 100% out there is not much community in 10s beyond the raid night and that makes the game feel like a single player game at times. I have played a mage through all of the above mentioned raid content, it is my favored class. I don't raid for purples, well I mean who doesnt like shinies, but I raid because I enjoy overcoming challenges with friends that aren't wasting my time...and likewise I don't want to waste theirs. I also enjoy going out and doing things on the weekends with my wife and friends, your raid schedule is perfect for everything I want in this game and out of raiding. I was intrigued by the response I got on my forum post, after chatting with Ashin I am certain out of the rabble of responses I recieved this is the home I would very much enjoy becoming a part of until the game dies or the guild decides to call it quits. -The Boring stuff- http://raidbots.com/...hyjal/hiitachi/ t15 My tier 14 stuff shows more of my usual performance% vs my undergeared, non 4set( at the time) underexperienced t15 stuff. Also I have one more raid drop to get my meta gem. I am just now hitting 523. http://raidbots.com/epeenbot/us/velen/hiitachi/ t14 http://www.wow-heroe...Hyjal/hiitachi/ Somehow I ranked on a heroic fight in 505 ilvl ...I dunno what to say to that. http://us.battle.net...itachi/advanced http://i.imgur.com/qEYTZ0F.jpg?1 The general layout is the same, more macros slightly cleaner ui. Do you miss focus magic as much as I do ? -Conclusion- I can play any spec of mage to a heroic level standard that the raid will require. I can and will improve. I will not be "the guy that caused the wipe" 10 times in a row for the same mistake. I will not be the guy that tgts the wrong mob just to pad meters at the expense of making the raid fail. I will respec/gem/forge to whatever the raid needs to overcome the encounter. I can be trusted for spellsteal, interupt, cc, or decurse duty..or any other special duty in a raid. I have both ran guilds in heroic content and played in them obviously. I have probably been tasked to do any kind of mage duty/raider duty you could imagine throughout raiding content. In short(after that wall of text crit, Inorite, lol) I would love to join your team and I won't dissapoint when given the chance. Thank you for your time...and sorry for the bleeding eyeballs, Jess(Hiitachi)
