  1. Was able to get in touch with Grody and Violated, I tried to catch Das, but I think I got him in the middle of an NTC run or I weirded him out with my wall of text. Unfortunately didn't have too much time to play tonight as I'm taking care of the nephew, but I'll try and help and get them up to speed whenever I can. Especially Grody, I remember how slow Cleric leveling can be at times, they seem very group reliant.
  2. Aw, shame about the cleric, though I can understand why you would. I didn't get to PvP heal while leveling mines, but from a PvE perspective it was kind of dull healing with a reliable CC. But then again I only got as far as NTC/FT on mines so I'm not sure how fun it gets later on. That actually sounds like a great idea, I'll probably fool around w/ Cleric a bit then with friend rather than leveling the SM any further. I wish Aion would allow us to add friends to our list without needed them to be on, but anyhoo I'll try to get them added asap.
  3. Eek. Sorry for the very delayed responce! Well fooled around with an Assassin and Chanter, thanks to the double XP even was able to get them both to 30. And got Nico to 30 with a bit of FT Elite grinding(he was only able to hit 28 during double XP). So now we're working towards 50 on Chanter and SM. Any tips for dual-grinding? I mean its a bit slower it seems given we share the mobs XP. But I figure we can offset if we kill fast, figure FT-mob grinding would be best.. but friend gets bored easy of long grind sessions. He wants to pvp naow! So been trying to hit rifts or poke abyss in between grinding to keep things interesting. Anyhoo, not sure if anyone here is still interested in doing FT runs now and then. Last couple of runs have been so melodramatic(healers going on about tanks, tanks going on about healers, sorcs going on about cc) would be nice to setup some runs w/ some chill folks. <posted on my nomz break!>
  4. Oh god, now there's another one... So I finally got my longtime gaming buddy to come and play Aion with me! So that also means I haven't been progressing as fast as I originally wanted to on Rag, as I've been helping his Chanter level up lately. We're working on getting him to Abyss(He hit 21 today!), hopefully getting him to 30-range for FT and whatnot this weekend. I have been jumping on Ragnarok periodically to check if you guys were on, don't usually see anyone other than Sanjel on, maybe just bad luck with timing. Oh and as a side note the legion my SM is currently in, Last Resort, is the old legion me and the GW buddies made back during release- just using it as an Alt-storage legion for now. Just heads up! In any case, looking forward to this weekend! My friend Nico joining Aion makes the trip to 50 a bit less lonely, hopefully we can get a few FT or whatnot runs this weekend.
  5. Aw, that's a shame. So far, I've found the class to be very enjoyable to grind with and very fun to play with in cooperative settings. I have yet to test it out in a PvP setting, though I did attempted to fortress a week back. The FPS drop was so bad though, that I'm kind of scared to try that again. It's weird because Aion runs flawlessly otherwise, but it took such a heavy hit there that it made me rethink my PC specs and made me wonder if I require upgrades. I'll continue leveling the SM, if it happens that a spot opens up later or something that will be cool. If not, I still look forward to grouping up with you guys sometime whenever you happen to have a group space open for a Pokemo...er Spiritmaster. XD; Yeah, sorry about the ninja friend-add during your FT run yesterday. I'll try and catch up soon, hit 32 yesterday, a couple more levels and new skillets! Ee! ...is it bad that I stared at your kitty sig for almost a full minute before realizing it? Coot! And thank you! Thanks! And sounds great, I'll try to catch you on this weekend.
  6. Aw! Such a warm welcome, feel all squishy inside~ <3 Aw, thank you for the "Friend" access on the forums. I noticed that SM's weren't on the list, is because you guys are full on SM's or that they're not especially useful endgame? I'm working full time on the SM now, so hopefully I'll be able to catch up soon to be more useful for later content, I'm just not sure how viable they are in comparison to the other classes. I'll try your suggestion and see if I can find Sanjel on as well. I do miss my Ranger, it felt a lot closer to my GW Ranger in comparison to say...the Hunter class in WoW. It was just a bit pricey to play when I first started, I was the type that bought new spiffy armor every chance I got because it looked nicer than the previous set. That and friends coerced me into trying to level up a crafting profession so I had some kinah issues back then. Playing through the SM I found it easier to rack up the Kinah than on my Ranger. Not sure how long it will hold up, but I'm hoping I will be able to fund my eventual Ranger and other classes w/ a fully leveled SM. Likewise! I love Fire Temple, Ignite Aether/Dispel Magic shine so much in that dungeon, if only my Spirit Erosion skill didn't resist so much. Looking forward to running more stuff with you guys!
  7. Greetings! So first! Some background information! I'm 21yr old Peruvian male, I'm currently residing in New York City, though its a beautiful city, long-term I'd like to go back to Peru. I love traveling, life is too short to stay in only one place! Gaming is a passion which I've been lucky enough to have the time to indulge in, regardless of how hectic my schedule is sometimes, I try to sneak in an hour or so and lax. I'm very open to meeting new people and making new friends so feel free to talk to me about anything. Prior to Aion, I played Guild Wars passionately for four years before finally giving WoW a try w/ a Guild Wars friend. I fully immersed myself in the Ranger profession, finding myself very comfortable w/ their versatility and many utility abilities. I'm a team player, I love support classes and love grouping up with people. I've always been open to playing PvP, though I haven't had luck w/ like-minded people, my GW buddies had more of a PvE mindset, trying PvP only on rare occasions. So Aion seemed like a good choice for venturing into a more immersive PvP experience. Unfortunately, the friends I initially got to jump on the Aion bandwagon with me quit shortly after the game was released. Constant Bot Spam, long queue times and latency issues caused my two remaining friends to leave Aion as well and so two months after release I took an extended break from the game. Picked it up again mid-May after finding some old game screenshots, figured I'd try and see how our server was doing, maybe try out a new class and get an old GW buddy to play as well. Gave the Spiritmaster a shot, and completely fell in love with the class. Anyhoo, so here I am reading through a couple of Massively's articles today during the server downtime for 1.9(yay!), and I came across Shawn Schusters article on his own playthrough experience in Aion. As I finished reading the article, I was reminded of my own first playthrough on my ranger and thought, what a lucky guy to have found such a tight knit legion like that during his first play through. During my first Fire Temple run today, I happen to meet Krystian and am suddenly reminded of the Massively article after seeing the legion name attached, one alt tab later and I'm shocked to find out that Shawn Schuster's "South of Heaven" was on the same server that I play on. I asked Krystian regarding how SoH does recruitment and he pointed me in this direction. You guys remind me a lot of my Guild Wars guild, and I've met many wonderful people through that guild experience. I'm hoping that it will be the same here, if you'll give me the chance to get to know you guys and vice versa. IGN: Ragnarok RLN: Ben
