Razariel Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 Hey folks. Im Razariel, 85 Resto/Enh shaman curious about the guild. Im in a guild now that was fairly active back in BC, made up of a bunch of local friends. But the majority of them have moved on to other games, and while I love playing with those that are left, there are so little of them that my friends list can cover them. (I think there are something like 7 active players, including myself and my fiancée... and of which 3 of them have toons on another server in a fairly large guild they play too) Ive played WoW since early BC, and have played a shammy the whole time. I have other characters, but tend to stick mostly to trying to get achievements and pets and mounts on Raz, so I don't spend a lot of time with leveling alts. My fiancée plays, currently with an 85 Unholy DK (Norinah) and she's leveling up other characters as well (we kind of cheated to get her to 80 fast in wrath. She took over my second account that I had used as a Refer a friend to get a paladin to 60 fast. I never took that paladin farther so I gave the account to her, and while she has a Warlock in the 40's she's leveled her self, we also got her into a DK so she could play with us at 80 much faster) I'm all geared for Heroics (finally!) but its been harder to get Nori's gear. Plate DPS is hard to come by we're finding! She only needs a couple of more pieces and she should be good to go, but its tough. Anyways, were looking for someplace we can call home, a place with people we can talk to that we enjoy playing with, and get a bit away from the tediousness of the RDF. Nori is asleep right now (I'm on my way that way soon) but I'll try and get her to post an intro too here. She's a bit shy, don't hold that against her Send me a whisper in game, ill gladly heal heroics if you are looking for one, or just to chat. Ashin Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 Hello, and thank you for taking interest in us. Could you give us a better idea of what your playtime is like? For example are you mostly an evenings player, EST or PST, etc.? Also, do you enjoy the PvP aspect of the game? Just to clarify, these things are not requirements per se. We don't have a playtime requirement, so we have casual members whom we love and try to group with whenever we can. We have some members who do almost nothing but battlegrounds, and others who are afraid to set foot in them. So there is a spectrum and these people are all friends to me at this point, so I'm fine with that. But as far as new recruitment, I am a bit more focused in what I am looking for. Ideally I am looking for folks who are whole game (pve/pvp) and who have the playtime to support two nights of raiding a week. This all comes with the caveat that we always make exceptions for exceptional people. So, if someone takes the time to come to our forums, use complete sentences, and shows a nice personality (as you have) I would never dismiss them just because of their item level or playtime. So we should certainly talk about it more, but I just want to let you know where I'm coming from and what I am looking for at this time. I would also like to ask whether you are open to playing as elemental? We have a 2 year old daughter, but her bedtime is 9 est and she is in bed whether she wants to be or not. I work at 7am so I try to be in bed by midnight so generally stop playing around then. I'm into the whole game. I don't pvp much, but I hit up the occasional bg. I'm not into arenas but I've always felt shaman under powered or un desired on arena teams so that is probably why. I love to raid being a "hardcore" raider at the beginning of wrath. But you know. Family, daughter, work... 4 nights a week 5-6 hours a night...is a parttime job I just didn't have time for.2 nights a week is much more doable. I wouldn't be able to do Tuesday because that is my local pen and paper rpg game night but other than that I'm usually available. As for elemental sure. I've always wanted to try it out. I just have no gear whatsoever besides my healing gear. Which might work in a pinch with the spirit to hit talent its far from ideal. But I note I -love- healing. The power of holding everyone's lifes in my hands..... Er .... I mean the rush of saving a group from the evil dasterdly badguys... you get the idea. Ps.
