Shamanigans
Hello, I have recently transferred to Stormreaver due to having bad raiding conditions on my previous server, Maiev. I have just reached level 85 on Friday 1/28/2011. I have plenty of raid experience from WotLK, and on top of this experience, I have also been raid leader of most of them. I have high expectations for raiding in that every one comes prepared to the guild's standards. As well to raid leading, I have held officer, co-gm, and GM status (which we merged, thus making me Co-gm) in previous guilds. I have played a Druid in all specs, DK as tank, and my Main is my Enhancement shaman (and have high experience in resto and ele). I just prefer enhancement because I find it to be the most complicating roll to master for a shaman. On top of raid experience, I would also like to inform you that I am very motivated to become the "best." I work very hard to increase my performance in raids and actually got to the point of pulling 14k dps in ICC on Saurfang regularly. I also enjoy PvP very much, because who doesn't love killing people and making them mad? Haha. Some personal information about me is that I am 19 and a college student, so week nights are perfect for raiding, and weekends for pvp is also very good. I really do put life in front of WoW, so papers and work (and women) come before the game. Please feel free to contact me in Game either by mail or whispers. Thanks, Shamanigans
Ashin
Hello, and thank you for the solid application. At this time, we're really hoping to fill our last core melee dps spot with a rogue or DK. While the Enh shammy does bring great interrupts, we always have a resto shaman in our raids and sometimes an ele shaman as well. This makes the overall utility of the enhance shaman a bit lower in our particular case. This is especially true when we add PvP to the mix, because rogue and DK both bring a lot there. It is possible that we might consider modifying our plans for an otherwise strong applicant, but right now this is the road map. Do you happen to have any interest in picking up your DK, and is he serviceable?
Malthas
Welcome to the forums, what drew you to us?
Shamanigans
My DK is on a different server, and really don't plan on paying $25 to transfer because A) It's the easiest class to level, and B) I'm a poor college kid. I do understand that you would prefer to bring a Rogue or DK along, I still believe that joining the guild would be beneficial to me as a player and to the guild. I could simply be used as a filler player for people who cannot show up, until I can establish myself a little better into the game, and get more gear. I also enjoy guild PvP events, because lets be honest, PvP is not quite that fun if you do it by yourself. So though I'm not the ideal applicant for your guild at the moment, and I do understand this, I am still very interested in the guild. And I am willing to level a character that would benefit the guild (because I want to have another 85 on this server). As to why I am interested in this guild, I saw the forum post of the WoW forums, and saw that this is a mature guild that does place life > wow. These standards to me mean a lot in a guild. Ashin
Well, you make a strong case for yourself. We do wish to have backup players for our raids, and enhance shammies are among the best interrupters (depending on the player, of course). I'd like to group with you tonight for a heroic and see what kind of DPS you are pulling. Will you be online? We might be able to get you raid exposure as a bridge while we are still recruiting or leveling a rogue / DK, which would let us branch out into two teams sooner, and also get you established within the guild. But to go this path I want to make sure that I am seeing a strong fit, so as to be respectful of your time and potential investment in this guild. Shamanigans
Awareness is the key, and I have high raid awareness (after i learn the fights) and give it my all. Of course my arguments are void unless proven. I will probably be on tonight around 7pm ST depending on how my current plans roll out. I will look into creating a rogue or DK for the guild just for kicks and giggles. Hopefully it wouldn't take long to get leveled and benefit the guild. Ashin
Well don't go rerolling on our behalf until we've accepted your application. I have bumped you up to friend access, which will open up the community site a bit for you. I will look forward to meeting you tonight. Ashin
We're welcoming Sham to the guild as a Social member. While we currently don't have a core raiding spot for him, he seems like a great guy and we will try to get him in on some of the earlier encounters once his gear is ready. So... Welcome!
