  1. This area needs more cowbell! Hello.

  2. Guys are what they are - <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" &" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  3. That was a pretty epic capture. How did you manage to record that? Or is it just a clip from recording all of a pvp night.
  4. Hey Arkat, long time no see. We had a few in Fallen Earth, but Aion pretty much took over when it came out. What else would you expect from an old L2 crew?
  5. flipper was here too! Hi Relent! ^^

  6. Heya Triebryn. Ran into Grayvon in EVE, and he said a couple of you were starting it up again. There's a few of us exploring EVE atm too. No plans to do more than the trials at the moment, but who knows? I've got Prophecy and Relentless up and going. Send a hello if you're in game.
  7. hmmm, no one has popped this page yet. Scratch, scratch, scratch.

    "Tayomi was here!"

  8. While Celetania is a different game, (not just Sins of a Solar Empire in MMO land) there's enough similarity that SoaSE fans will probably like it. I really enjoyed SoaSE myself, but I also got tired of it after a week or so. The multiplayer aspect and slower progression of Celetania has been holding my interest better. The beta is supposed to end day after tomorrow, and the game officially releases on the 13th. Looking forward to carving out the permanent empire.
  9. It stands for eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate, which is pretty much what you do in a 4X game. It's the genre that includes games like Civilization and Master of Orion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4X It's unusual to see it in an MMO form though. The gameplay itself has actually been really interesting to see into the mid-game, and it's fun to steamroll real people. But it's been a painful beta in terms of server clunkiness, (and with probably not even 100 players) and I'm wondering just how frustrating it may be to play in early release.
  10. New alliance. And Slayers! damn, that's what I always wanted to play. I guess I need to read a bit further.
  11. Hi Folks, just checked in to see how things were going. Grats to Tyrlis on his Sentinel set. (slight pang of jealousy, it coulda been me) I started to catch up on the Warhammer forums, but it sounds like some things got funky on the 29th, so I stopped. Hopefully it'll smooth out whatever it is. I was beta-ing this strange German game called Celetania, and got hooked. It's kind of like a modern MMO version of Master of Orion (anyone remember that old beast?) but it takes hours to do anything. I can leave it up while I work, which is perfect for me. If any of you happen to be 4x junkies, I'd recommend taking a look at it. But it's not for the FPS twitch folks. And I am finally beginning to get a handle on work stuff. And hey, I started drawing a salary too. (first time real paycheck since 2001, if you can believe it) So sometime early this spring I should be ready to re-enter the world of MMO again with you all.
  12. This generated no interest on the DoO boards. But I personally couldn't stop laughing myself. Sleepy old lady > Mercedes driver
  13. I went Tauran hunter. But the Dunemaul namespace is pretty full; all my usual monikers were taken. Ended up going all the way back to the first name I ever used on an online game. So I'll be in there in stealth mode, since none of you know it.
  14. If you folks can straighten out what server and side you're on, I'll come back and roll another toon for a bit. Now that you've had a bit of practice at it, I think you should pick a new server, decide on a side, and all start over together. Pick a different server to play the other side later.

Ok, so I meant SoH and typed SoE. But I can't be the only one who's ever done that. Features don't make the game for me. All they do is mark out what might be worth looking at. Darkfall could suck for any number of reasons, but I'm hungry for a PvP game with player-driven politics and economy. That's what they're promising, so I'll be in there for a look. And I'll make my own judgement then independent of any hype.
