Nothing like camping at the lake to remind me why I prefer backpacking. Neighboring camper tripping on hand sanitizer (yes, hand sanitizer!) and obnoxius young males being perverse next door. Losing faith in humanity one day at a time...

Something I plan on repeating with my kids from my childhood is walking around the campsite & campground and filling a small trashbag each, even though by the time it was filled you had mostly trash that wasnt yours, and I am sorry, I would have gone to the neighbors and at least asked them to keep their voices down so my kids didnt have to hear what they were saying.

Remote location aye. If you can swing it, get yourself out to a place without a campground!
