  1. Feels so good to officially "be home" again with a great bunch of people. Thanks guys!
  2. As a healer who hasn't run with decursive since the 1st month of Kara. The Blizz UI can basically now show you only debuffs you can remove, not everything all at once that you would have to decipher. And they easily show up on the raid interface (if you are using the blizz UI that is, not sure about mods). But it's come a long way from those black boxes with every debuff shown in little green icons you could barely read or see in the corners of each box. Not sure if Decursive does an auditory chirp, but that may be the only thing that it would have over the default ui. You have to be pretty blind to not see the debuffs now with the blizz UI. I also found that there was lag between the actual click on the box and the actual cleanse spell going off (maybe .5 second?) back in the day...Just using a MO macro I've found it much faster. But that may have been fixed since I last used it (which is a long time ago for sure)
  3. Read and signed! Look forward to the fun!
  4. Thanks, totally understandable about the alts, was more for myself so I could farm some flask mats/potion mats.
  5. I have transferred 2 toons to Stormreaver, Rendaelyne (holy/ret paladin) and Donashne (resto/feral guardian) druid. These moves should be complete by tonight when I get home. Look forward to meeting you guys, I'll be watching yours vids and strategies tonight as well since I have quite a learning curve ahead of me, but one I do them once or twice, I should get in the groove quick. By Tuesday before raid, I will have the Valor to buy my 489 chest as well and have all the mats to gem/chant it. thanks
  6. Hey Ashin, so sorry about the go back and fourth on this one...but I spoke to my boss over the weekend. He is ok with me changing my schedule around (of course I didn't tell him it was for warcraft, just for ease of traffic to get to work in the morning). I would def like to set up an interview again with you if you haven't replaced me.
  7. I really hate to say this, but I will have to reconsider on my end. You guys sound really cool and I think I'd have fun here. I just can't make the times. I thought 30 min later than my current time would not be so bad, but unfortunately, it actually is when I include the "cool off" time where my brain has to slow down and get to sleep. I wish you guys the best and I know you guys are progressing right now which makes this even harder for me to say no to. But I want to thank you guys for the time and also the tips you gave me to help me improve my performance. Johnny aka Rend
  8. for sure, I would not waste your time. I am gonna think hard about it. I'll keep you informed before the interview. yeah, the healer CD co-ordination, I wish I could tak ecredit for it. but it was one of the things I brought with me from my time in "The dauntless" on Medivh. They had that all set up before I joined them and I just brought it back with me when I started playing WoW again with Artifice. The dauntless even used it for their DPS and tanks, each role had it. They had a similar setup for interrupts for their DPS. For Nefarian 25 heroic they had it all set up so they each knew who was the next in line on each platform.
  9. I am really going to think hard about this. You guys seem to be very well organized and a very friendly bunch of people from what I gathered from your forums. I have been staying up until midnight playing WoW/watching TV to see how my RL work would be affected. I am a light sleeper and it usually takes me 30 min to an hour to fall asleep. So I've been testing it all this week and I am feeling it at work. Gonna be thinking very hard about this today cause I've been quite beat Wed, and Thursday and now today...I really am interested but do not want to make this jump if I can't be 100% during the raid cause I'm fallin at the keyboard. There are so many things in play for me on this decision so I am thinking hard about it and what I am willing to give up and move around in my schedule to accomodate this. I'll keep you all informed. I am very interested, just want to be sure I can work and play and be at 100% for it all.
  10. putting this in multiple replies as to not get a wall of text For the raid frames. I have grown quite used to them. Including the blizz threat meter. I can see when someone is pulling threat really easy (hand of Salving them right away). I can see all the debuffs (arrows from Spirit kings, voodoo dolls, the ability to port out of spirit world on garaj, etc) now, if for some reason I couldn't see it, I would likely get a mod to track a specific debuff (Sinestra's debuff for example that needed to be cleansed at certain stacks) but most times I am just the tank healer in those cases. I tried using other UI mods, but I found them so time consuming to fix and come patch day, I couldn't raid if some add on wasn't updated, So I got used to hte Blizz ones (the old ones were fun, black background, no resource bars, debuffs in every corner Magin at top right, curse at bottom right, poison at top left, etc...). They'd gotten so much better due to the modding community pushing them to make their own better. Mine looks bad due to the extra column in LFR to identify the 2 main tanks. but in a raid, usually tanks are either indicated by role (if you do a role check) or they are in the same group (most stack them in group 1) so this column is not on as most people don't set Main tank and main assist in the blizz UI since almost no one uses it
  11. thanks for the idea on velocities. I will def try that out. I was gonna start looking at logs to see how we can basically heal thorugh the transition as efficiently as possible right at the start. Both 25 man kills we had (this week and last week) we've transitionned while Feng still had stacks up so we loose 2 or 3 people as we spread out to not all kill ourselves with the resonance. As for the macro, we have a healer channel in game as well.I forced every healer (since not everyone has the same mods nor can due to PC specs, etc) to join the channel and all their CDs are as follows /cast "spell name" /w "next person in chain" [star][triangle][star] "Spell name" used!!! You are next!!!![star][triangle][star] /"healer channel" [star][triangle][star] "Spell name" used!!! You are next!!!![star][triangle][star] All raid CDs are like this...all tank CDs are [cross][square][cross]. This way when they see pink (or whatever color their /w is) in their periferial vision in chat, they know they are next in line for their chain and the color coded icons help know if it was a tank or raid CD and all healers in teh healer channel can see that a CD was used and to just keep an eye on their periferial vision for their /w. On each fight, I may not have the same healers, so at the start of the night, we set the rotation and people modify 2 lines on their macros just to /w the right person in a chain. Most bosses raid wide abilities are spells so my devo is ok, but if I am not going to be benefitial since it's physical, I would just remove myself from the rotation. There is still some talk on vent for us if someone dies for example and is out of turn but I co-ordinate it all. tank CDs are harder since I only have our healers in there and our tanks don't talk or do this as they don't see the need. So we just work as if they had none. Sad I know...they just don't communicate. The raid CD thing may be good but someone has to start it off and the next has to know when to go. So I just control it all that way. the CD would be good in my case just cause when someone dies, I can just look at it and say in vent to my next healer to go...but then others may not know why.
  12. Also, I tried out eternal flame and divine purpose last night. Was very wierd playing like a druid on my paly at times watching HoT timers on people. Basically I was keeping it up on the tanks and anyone esle I could. Was averaging 3 flames running at once (spiking to 5 with lucky divine purpose procs). I wish we had run WoL to get an idea, but at least according to skada, on the dogs I was doing about the same as my old holy avenger/SS spec. For Feng, I played around a bit, but found the holy avenger skill better as I could actively control my holy powerx3 to better match a missed epicenter instead of relying on the RNG for divine purpose. . Very interesting though. totally different style of playing. I bet if I try this for a week, I can really get an idea of the flow for healing with eteranl flames. But I bet htat some fights favor one style and others favor my old style. Either way, I always have 20 tomes to flip my spec on the fly for each fight. Which is why blizz designed fights this way, as we can change our spec to best suit each encounter without going to a trainer
  13. hey hey I am def able to set up a mumble interview on saturday. Sunday afternoon I am driving my parents to the airport. If everything is satisfactory, I will start the transfer as soon as we're done. Then it's up to the blizzard gods on if I can get across in time.
  14. So different to actually talk shop with someone who knows what they are doing. I am sure what I'll end up doing during my app is test these combos/different specs to test and see how they actually work out in each fight. The eternal flame/divine purpose almost turns us into druids depending on RNG with divine purpose...which is an interesting concept. Even if I don't get in, I will most likely test this in a raid/lfr to see how this works out.
  15. yeah, I have been throwing that into my rotation but not enough as I should. I will def throw that in (prob best for example to use it on Feng when epicenters go off or when he's burning off his stacks) As for the 80 stats to chest VS the 200 Spr. I have been toying with that idea. Since I could get 80 int and 80 spr. Which would be a better stat distribution, But in my current guild, where even with the healing assignments, we have 3 really good healers and 3 ok healers, we end up covereing for them so I went into mana regen mode and got the 200 spr. I have never toyed with eternal flame yet. I picked SS as an absorb in my eyes is better than a heal. Also, since most of my holy power dumps go into LoD currently, trying to keep up multiple Eternal flames would actually have hurt the raid healing. I could be wrong but my initial though would be I'd have to basically heal my beacon target to stack holy power through tower of radiance to even make eternal flames worth while. If I was only healing 2-3 tanks and knew I wasn't trying to cover for low raid healers, I bet I could keep up an eternal flame on all 3 at the expense of raid healing through LoD. unbreakable spirit may get me 2 LoH in a fight, but I think it pales in comparison to 2 Hand of Sac/prot that can be used back to back or in very quick succession (prot for the spirit kings arrow pins for example). Loosing this would not warrant the little mana gain over a 10 min fight for example. or a LoH I could pop on a tank at the start and then have to wait for one at the end. I did use the plea glyph at first, but I found not healing a tank for that long could be devastating. I prefer to macro divine plea/arc torrent and avenging wrath all together. that way when I plea, I do basically get hit wiht the heal penalty but counter it with wings or guardian if needed. thanks, that is one thing I always wanted to turn off, I'll do that cause it's such a pain. I've fixed all the other stuff except for that (also since it's only in LFR I don't usually bother fixing it cause I do it once a week, quick and easy and it also lets me know who is the tanks right away, just as they leave or new ones join) I will look into that mod as well if I find I am loosing my mind with all the CDs. But so far, it's been pretty good.
