Pook
Pook remember the whole NSFW thing about a year ago?*poke* Whoa, is that NSFW? That is a critically acclaimed piece from one of Canada's* most famous artists. No nudity, no bad language. Just an amazing interpretation of racism and its effects on our society as a whole. You people work in terrible places imo! (I was actually mistaken. Saiman Chow is now based out of New York) Edited September 25, 2009 by Pook

Pook
Thank you much! Our guild appreciates all types of kisses... Obviously not! Here, this one is "safer", and conveys nearly the same message. All show people from completely different walks of life and racial backgrounds kissing. While not as powerful as the other piece, its Disney roots are beyond reproach. (Though now that I think aboot it, Snow White really didn't give her consent and Ariel isn't even the same species as her kisser!) You people should be ashamed at derailing Sael's nice post. Pook
Explain please, I'm slow (and interested). Saiman Chow is a world famous artist who uses bold images as a means of interpreting social issues. He has even done work for corporations like Nike. The series*, titled “Summer of Love” investigates, Chow says, “Our fascinating yet frightening views on sexuality in our exploitative society…Aren’t we all animals after all.” He goes on further discuss these issues, including interracial relationships, prostitution, and more. Truly an excellent artist. I guess in today's age of porn and smut, it becomes hard for the layman to differentiate. 8( Mostly I just think the picture is cute. *(Each of those scenes is an individual work. What I posted is a collage of the series)
Ashin
I don't really see how those images invoke any sort of introspection on my part. Sounds contrived and shock-oriented to me. I also don't really see the composition tbh. I wonder what Sael thinks about all of this.
