  1. Woot woot! I'll be on in a couple hours Lodith. And we'll be streaming the LEI SHEN KILL (it WILL happen!) tonight in Syn's stream. Raid starts at 6:30 if ya want to tune in.
  2. Woot woot! Congrats new team members!!
  3. That's our friend Kyle. He used to play WoW with us too... Then he fell to the darkside that is LoL. Tell us some stories Lodith!!! Guild needs to know more about you and what kind of shenanigans you get into!!! Write us a book! Just pretend you're BSing with us over Skype!!!
  4. Lodith is on the left. Tell us MOAR Aaron! Otherwise I'll have to bring out more of these... And we both know I have a lot more embarrassing pictures of you, then you do of me! <3
  5. Psh, lump charcoal of course! Is there any other way?! Hey now, none of that!
  6. Yes please! Commence the standard grilling!
  7. Welcome back! Interesting place of residence...
  8. Welcome! Between the alt raid and the excellent pugging scene here, I don't think you're going to have any issue at all gearing up and getting some experience. You picked an excellent guild to make a start on Stormreaver with! I've been here for about three months, and the guild atmosphere is the best I've experienced in my 6 or so years of Warcraft.
  9. Woot, just picked up a CMStorm Quickfire Rapid (with cherry blues) for my girlfriend's first mechanical keyboard. :D

    1. Ashin

      Ashin

      Yay mech keys.

  10. Hooray, thank you! Super happy to be an official part of the team.
  11. edited so as to remove the foot from my mouth.
  12. Alright. So Porch (Gilthanis) ran with us in Modern. A quick thing to note about the guild hopping... Three of his recent guilds Incite/Endurance/Modern were all the same raid teams. We just changed our name constantly for some reason. As far as his skill as a raider (imo of course) goes, his dps was always competitive, he was always on time (I can only recall one missed raid), and he was always willing to take on a role that would hurt his personal dps so as to help us achieve a kill. There were some times when his situational awareness (survivability and stacking up) were lacking but after it was brought to his attention he did a great job improving on those aspects. All in all I would say Porch was a excellent asset to our raid team. Personality wise I think Porch would be a WONDERFUL fit with the general atmosphere of SoH. He was very sociable and friendly in <Modern> and he was an active poster on the forums (both socially and theorycrafting). About the situation in <Modern>... I can safely say that it was not the fault of Porch. I've let you SoH officers know a little about it when I was first applying, but without naming names (I think this server has enough drama as it is), I'd just like to say there were a couple people in the guild making the atmosphere absolutely toxic. When I stepped down from officer there were also a few abrupt changes that didn't go over too well (10 man switch) and caused additional friction. The raid schedule was also up in the air on a weekly basis. It may be advertised that Modern is a 16 hour, 4 day a week guild... But in actuality it was common for our raids to be extended from 4 hours to sometimes 8+ hours. It was also very common for the raid schedule to be changed from 4 days to 5-6 (a couple times even 7) days at any given time. P.S. Porch is an avid streamer (yay more guild exposure), so that UI better look pretty! P.P.S. Sashimi > Sushi. P.P.P.S. I have my stream all set up. Just need the page worked on cause I'm to lazy to do the coding. We'll talk about it.
  13. Hey Kevin, nice to see you around! Sorry I'm late to the party (I specced shadow for the first time this expansion last night so I was having fun with it til 6am this morning. Needless to say I slept in)! I've got to get ready to raid, but I'll be sure to post my endorsement afterwards!
  14. Grats Sven! Go Priests!
  15. Thanks for the warm welcomes! I'm installing the dkp addon and whatnot right now. I look forward to getting the chance to raid with you all tonight! On another note... I like where this conversation is heading. With my illness... Any talk about food is good talk.
  16. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. Understood.
  17. Haha, yea... Being so porous makes it pretty easy for bacteria to hang out on (not to mention the fact that some bacteria can survive for long amounts of time eating cellulose). Fortunately, those utensils are basically only used to stir boiling water (with the occasional added pasta) as we use stainless steel and high temp silicone for most things.
  18. Bamboo ftw! highly sustainable wood with tensile strength surpassing some steel alloys! There's that eco-geek coming out of me. >.<
  19. Nope, not a lot of experience in PvP. Not for lack of interest from myself though. The guilds I have been in haven't ever really had an interest in anything other than PvE. I would be MORE than willing to give some PvP a go though. I may not have a lot of structured experience, but I can scrap. I don't have much "real" gear but I at least have a few malevolent pieces as well as all the new craftables.
  20. Ronin and Veda were jealous I didn't post pics of them... So here's Ronin the Husky and Veda the Royal Python.
  21. Thanks Negido! 1. Black. The presence of all colors. On a side note... I'm color blind and see colors different then most people. 2. Against Me! (Thrice, Trevor Hall, Eric Hutchinson, Refused, Regina Spektor, and Matisyahu are some other favorites). 3. With my stomach condition... I unfortunately am no longer allowed to drink. In the past my favorites have been Tequilla straight (Don Julio repasado) and more straight Tequila. Now a days my only vice is Marijuana (hope that isn't an issue!). I have a medicinal license because of my illness but it is also now legal in my state (Washington). 4. Random special skill... Hmmm... The only thing I can think of that comes up on a regular basis is my ability to remember the most random of facts. I'm literally like a walking encyclopedia of useless information. 5. Favorite live action Disney - Cool Runnings (John Candy, enough said). Favorite Disney cartoon - Aladdin. I was poor for part of my childhood, and what street rat doesn't dream of finding a Genie in a lamp, becoming a rich prince, marrying a gorgeous princess and having a freaking TIGER as a pet? 6. That one is a little difficult to answer. In the past I have been an extremely social person, since I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis I have had to spend much more of my time inside, which sucks. I still have friends over fairly often and stay active through skype, mumble, and other social media. But I'd be lying if I said I was as social as I used to be.
  22. I LOVE running with multiple healing priests in a raid! The fact that he's the healing officer is even a bigger plus! I'm huge on theorycrafting so having another Priest to bounce my thoughts off of is great. Also... Though I believe I am skilled as a Priest, there's always room for improvement. With him playing at this level of competitiveness I'm sure he has some insight on aspects of Priests that I have yet to think about. Holy is also my preferred spec (barring gimmick fights where Disc destroys everything else) so we would rarely be stepping on each others toes (I'm thinking about Weakened Soul here). Remember that Priest diversity I was talking about? Imagine have two of them! I've also always had very strong relationships with my co-healers and I don't plan on changing that in the future (you healers will accept my love and like it!). Here are a couple pics of Joe and Vito for ya Midri! Sorry it's so out of focus, they're really hard to take decent pictures of inside their habitat.
