Hey! I'm Tyler. I'm pretty new to the game. I made a couple alts to kind of try out different classes, and today made a pugalist on Leviathan that I leveled to 15. The pugalist and the lancer are definitely my favorites so far, but there are definitely a few other classes that I'm interested in. I've played a few other MMOs in the past, but never did very well because I never found a group to play with or had time to play, so I would create a lot of alts and join different guilds and things like that. I leveled a few characters pretty far in WoW BC, but I only got a enh/resto shaman to the level cap, and that was because my friends were always playing with me. Other than that, I've played Star Wars Galaxies, Guild Wars 2, and SWTOR, mostly. I'm looking for a social guild first and foremost, and getting into PvE when I hit the cap. I made a looking for FC post on reddit, and the response that I got made this guild sound perfect for me.

In real life, I'm 23, moving to Memphis in about a week for graduate school in philosophy (MA) after I finish my last spanish class for undergraduate. I'm also going to be a graduate assistant and work with the urban debate league there, but it still leaves me a lot more free than I'm used to. I used to do college debate on top of school and usually work in undergraduate, so any free time that I had was spent researching (mostly philosophy/critical theory) or travelling. I didn't have time for anything else. Now that I have time for a hobby (and a decent computer...), I'd really like to be a part of a good social guild and have some fun with this game. So far, I've gotten sucked in, so I don't think that will be a problem, but having a good group of people around is definitely essential to me.

Anyway, I'm not sure what else to put here. I'll be on a character named Gilles Deleuze if anyone is on and would like to talk. Hopefully, I'll talk to you all soon!

Hello! Nice to meet you!

I have only one very important question for you:

What do you complement your peanut butter with when making a sandwich?

Hi! It's nice to meet you all too!

I live right next to a grocery store that sells locally produced honey that is AMAZING, so I've been using that recently. But usually it's grape jelly, or strawberry jelly if I'm feeling adventurous/drunk.

Welcome to the forums!

And even more important! Are you a Lalafell?

Yes, I am! At least on this first character. I can't name anything, so I pick names that come to mind or from books around me. Deleuze is a philosopher I like, and it felt like he would totally be a Lalafell, so I picked that! I love them so far.

Welcome! I live in Tennessee and spend a good deal of time in Memphis! Have you lived there before?

I haven't lived there before, but I spent a week up there for the urban debate league's camp. I had a lot of fun at the time, but I have no idea how actually living there will be. I have high hopes, since I live in San Antonio right now and this city is terrible for doing things. How did you like it when you visited? Or did you live there?

Thanks for all the welcome posts! I look forward with gaming with you all! :)

Memphis is famous for its barbecue, and as Elvis's home. I enjoy visiting, and memphis has some very nice places. It has it's challenges though, and is very distinct geographically from the rest of the state. Memphis is flat, like san Antonio, though very humid. Nashville and middle tn is a plateau and eastern Tennessee is very mountainous. I hope you enjoy it there! You certainly shouldn't want for things to do, as there are a plethora of activities in a 5 hour driving circle around you, with almost anything you could want.

  • 3 weeks later...

To be honest, I don't really remember. It was one of those games that I liked but never found a group to play with, so I ended up leveling a bunch of alts about halfway and messing around. I only played for about a summer until it went F2P and I gave up on it entirely.

I was also drunk a lot of that time, so I don't really remember much in general, but that's a longer story.
