  1. SOHCO late night: convinced Hendrink run a fleet at 03:00 let's go!

  2. Alright Nightjar - you've got the green light from me, pending the Mumble chat. If I'm not around, @Tyrlis or @Brinelan can handle that as well. Just one more question until then: what are your typical play times? (I know USTZ, but I mean more like which days / how often / etc) Looking forward to flying with you soon!
  3. Hi Nightjar - I just completed your background check. Everything looks fine, although I wanted to ask some questions about your past corps. Can you tell me about your time in Northbound Enterprises [N-BND]? You were not there long, and this corp was associated with TARD right a time when relations between that alliance and are coalition were extremely strained. You had mentioned that you were hoping to finally find a more stable situation. Your last corp actually seemed fairly stable. Could you talk a bit about why you stopped playing late last year? Did you let them know? If your main reason for leaving was frustration with NRDS lifestyle, that's certainly something we can appreciate. It didn't work out for us, either.
  4. I agree with Simone - it sounds like you will be a good fit for us. As Tbert probably explained, there are essentially three steps to our application process (which can happen in any order). You've completed one of them by posting here and being responsive to our questions! The other step that we could get rolling is the API check. The final step is a voice interview on Mumble. You can use this link to generate the kind of API we need: https://community.eveonline.com/support/api-key/CreatePredefined?accessMask=4294967295 Please check the "No Expiry" option, and send the codes via a PM to me. This is also a good time to review your list of API's and delete any that you no longer require. Lastly, please disclose any other accounts you may have in advance - it will save questions later. Thank you!
  5. Welcome! I kept thinking that your name looked familiar to me - maybe it was the NAGA cross-over. We'd love to have another dedicated logi-bro in our ranks. Was there anything specific that got you interested in our corp? Have you had a chance to read the alliance's philosophy statement? You will experience zero toxic comms here, although we sometimes do get silly - even rowdy - after a few drinks. What do you do for ISK, when you're not keeping friendly spaceships alive in battle?

Annd congratulations to @Simone who has also been promoted to Senior Member.
  7. After this I got curious and did some google/reading about iguanas. It seems they are pretty smart and definitely develop routines and habits, like you say! Sounds like a neat pet. In other news, welcome to the corp!
  8. Wow, that would be creepy for me! What if you are tossing and turning in your sleep and roll over on her? Also.. doesn't that mean she's leaving little "messes" all over your room?

Congrats to @Oshri Paliako on promotion to Senior Member!
  10. Hello @Sharo Hakaari, and thanks for posting your intro here. Oshri was delicately pointing out that our corp is comprised almost entirely of adults with jobs / families / etc., and so much of our decision-making and planning is based on that expectation. We don't have a firm age requirement, and I've had plenty of gaming experience with young men who are mature and old men who are not. So we won't hold your age against you, but it's definitely something we want to talk about and make sure everybody understands. May I ask what year of high school you are in? Have you played any other MMO's besides EVE in the past? Another thing we should talk about is that life in null-sec is definitely different from the rest of the game. In fact, it is different from just about any other mmorpg in existence. That's why we like it so much, but it means you will have a lot of new things to learn. Also, the environment will be more structured. Are these things you feel comfortable with? Last question - how long have you had the iguana, and what's his/her name? (Is it easy to tell the difference between a male and female iguana?)
  11. Hello @Tarin Audeles - Valence B. here. I totally would have mentioned that I knew the corp's XO outside of game if I were you. But I appreciate your modesty! We would be very happy to have another logistics pilot join us. And since you can fly interceptors already, that should make it easy for you to get out here and join just about any fleet. Did you make any decisions about whether to try to liquidate your existing ships or not? What are one or two key aspects or experiences that you're hoping to find with us in null-sec? Lastly, I have observed that the EVE chapter is slowly shifting from primarily-cat to primarily-dog people. We may need to conduct a survey soon! What kind of dogs have you got?
  12. Hi @Practical - thanks for your continued patience. I'm not sure if you had a chance to connect with Tbert last night, but we discussed your app and decided we would like to accept you! However, we would like to get the API for the third account first - I believe you said it is currently alpha status? (Let me know if I misunderstood.) Other than that, we can accept Intimus' application any time. Also let me know if you would like to change your forum name to match either of your two characters (not required but could be helpful). Looking forward to flying with you!
  13. @Practical I've gone through your API's and have a few questions. Let me know when would be a good time to hop in Mumble and chat. Thank you!
  14. Hey.. the reason I didn't take my bio when everyone else did is because I was busy almost-dying in order to catch three procurers for you guys!
  15. Belatedly posting to say that I really enjoyed your intro post. I can tell you will fit right in with this group (that's a mixed blessing FYI). I still need to do your API check. Will you be around this weekend to chat further?
  16. Hey there! Valence B here. I got your mail and will respond to your post properly in the a.m. But just a quick note before I crash.. When I put your API's into our jackknife, they look like account API's from what I can tell. However, those access masks don't look right. If you have the time, would you mind creating new API's using this link? https://community.eveonline.com/support/api-key/CreatePredefined?accessMask=4294967295 Please check the "No Expiry" option as well. It would probably be easiest for me if you just send me a PM on this site, but I can check in-game mail from work tomorrow as well. Thanks very much - look forward to getting to know you soon.
  17. For the foregoing reasons, the emergency motion for a stay pending appeal is DENIED.

  18. Anthony Hopkins & Optimus Prime in the same movie?!  NERDGASM

  19. Sailboat CTA at 19:15 today, crew. That's 2:15 EST to take the new doctrine out of CCP. :)

    1. Simone

Have fun! I'll miss it, will be at the tire shop :(

  20. UPDATE - Friday night roam out of CCP at 02:00 EVE (30 minutes earlier than usual) - free Punishers and soothing memes from Hendrink Collie.

Congratulations to @Iron Guerilla - I *think* I mentioned this in game, but never actually promoted you. So now I am doing so!
  22. We do use armor doctrines in addition to shield. One thing I always tell folks who are new to null is that you will wind up training everything (literally) over time. In your case, t2 rlml and heavies will at least open up all the shield doctrines to you. We also have low SP options for every fleet - usually ewar frigates. Lastly, logistics and tackle are paths that involve a few ships welcome in any fleet.
  23. @Dmitri Blok thanks for sending the API over. It looks like the character is pretty "new" as you mentioned. When I reviewed your skills, I saw that you will need to do some focused training in order to be able to fly any of our doctrine ships. It looks like some additional missile and misc. skills will enable you to fly caracals and cerbs, which is good. That would probably be the initial focus. What sorts of ships do you ordinarily fly? Other than that, I'd like to set up a voice interview with either myself or Tbert at some point this week.
