Social/Backup Raider App for Etol/Zappit

Hello,

My name is Clint and, as the thread title implies, I would like to apply to join SoH as a social member with the goal of making myself available for back up raiding and alt raids. I've been playing WoW since Vanilla, and raiding since late BC. I've raided on all skill difficulties from super casual to 4 night a week hard modes. I was referred to the guild by my friends and ex-guildies Boombox, Kantankerous, and Mordigrim who I've been playing with since ICC.

My expectations of the guild would be a fun, active social environment with players that are interested in group activities. I'm looking for people that are up for xmog runs, alt raids, and general fun with friends....this is a multiplayer game after all and it's so much more fun when I don't have to queue up and do everything with strangers.

The things that I feel like I could bring to the guild would be a boisterous personality, knowledge of any class that I'm playing, and a willingness to put 100% into anything that I'm doing. I'm currently behind on gearing due to playing on a subpar computer up until two weeks ago, making lfr unplayable for me. I've been relatively lucky on drops in my first two weeks in LFR on both my warrior and my shaman...sadly my monk is still under the 470 benchmark for the higher ilvl raids. I put a lot of effort into keeping all of my max level toons as geared as possible so that I have more to offer than just one class. I currently only have 3 90's (all dps spec) but I'm planning to switch my shaman to resto main with ele off, and have 3 more characters that I can have leveled to 90 within a week or so (mage, pally, dk.) I also have almost all primary professions maxed so I can help anyone out that needs those services when I'm on.

Life is what you make of it, so I guess I lean towards optimism, but I approach it logically.

I play all kinds of other games, mostly for the nostalgia factor. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is probably my favorite, but I also play some other modern games like Torchligh, Bioshock, God Of War, etc. I don't really have a specific genre, it just has to be compelling, whether through storytelling or gameplay.

How'd you meet Boom/KT/Mord and why have you been away from them since. however long you've been away from them? And what brought you from CA to AR?

I generally "warn" social applicants that the burden will be on them to make their mark on the guild, since they will not be engaged in our primary activity, which is the 25m raid team. We're a nice enough bunch but it requires a fairly outgoing / big personality, and some interest in the forums is very helpful as well. Thoughts?

I started playing with all of them back in Wrath in a guild called Nocturnal where we raided ICC HM's late nights. After that guild fell apart and I took a break for a while, I joined them again in Errata, which also subsequently fell apart due to a surprise guild merger. I raided with Kant and Longtotem for a while in Scientific Method after that, but due to some real life stuff I wasn't able to maintain a full time raid schedule. By the time I got everything straightened out DS was out and they had moved over to your guild and I was too far behind to try to play on that level. Boom and I were talking the other day and told me that you guys accept social apps and so I decided to throw my hat in the ring.

I'm originally from AR but my wife and I decided to try and make a move to Cali, but after being there for 6 months we decided it just wasn't for us and headed back home.

As far as making myself know and being socially active, that's not an issue for me. I'm an exceptionally outgoing, friendly person...sometimes a little on the risque side, but I'm harmless. I love an active forum community, so that won't be an issue for me.
