Wildstar Intro - Kazyn

Hello,

My name is Kazyn and I have been looking forward to wildstar for a while now.  I love the way that the game plays and feels, but I am most looking forward to the dungeons/raids from every video I have seen they look pretty intense.  I have been playing MMOs for about five years and been raiding pretty steadily for the last two.  In the past I was really into PvP and I still love to jump in and stomp some face. Most of my experience in MMOs comes from WoW but I also played SWTOR for about four months after release until the guild I was in dwindled as they slowly went back to WoW.  Recently I have been playing a lot of Smite with some friends from work.  I am attempting to get some of them to play Wildstar and one agreed to apply to this guild, but I haven't seen his post yet.

A little about me, I am 23 and I have been in the military for the last four years.  I have always been a gamer but never not in a competitive environment until WoW.  Mostly I played single player games or games with my friends before jumping into WoW as my first online game.  I am a big Football fan (favorite team Green Bay) and college basketball (Michigan).  I am currently hooked on Game of Thrones (like everyone) but I also am reading the Wheel of Time series which is huge and is taking me longer than I would like...

When I was looking for guilds this was one of the first ones that I found and really liked, but I decided to look into some others and none of them seemed to fit what I was looking for as well as South of Heaven.  I will be playing a Mechari Medic at first but I have tried just about every class and I cant say that there is one that I disliked, but the medic was just a ton of fun.

I don't know if I covered everything you are looking for so if you have any questions please let me know!

Sliding in right before go live - welcome Kazyn!

I will try my hand at bombardment.

- What was your favorite raiding moment in WoW?

- Is there a sport team that you always root against?  If so, who?

- What is the hardest single player game you have beaten?

- You have to pass a word of wisdom to the next generation about life.  What is the most important thing to remember in life thus far?

Hope to see you around this weekend and if not hope to see you in game at some point - I'll be the obnoxious Chua.  Although there will be plenty of those.

Favorite Raiding moment in WoW?

-Not because of the fight but the start of MoP was probably my favorite because it was my first time having to gear to get ready in time for raiding... no life during that period, damn you dailies!

Hated sports team?

-Lots, being a Michigan fan Ohio State and MSU are hated naturally.  Really don't like the Bears, Seahawks, or Vikings either.

Hardest beaten single player game?

Tough one... Dragon Age on hard was pretty rough and beating Skyrim took a while but that was more because of the all of the content.

Words of Wisdom?

Find hobbies and even the worst job can be bearable.

Welcome!  Hunt seems to be opting out of question asking.

Them be fightin' words.  Are you just mad the Seahawks won the Super Bowl?  Not saying I like them either, if anything I would be a Bears fan (got to support my Chicago team even though Cutler is just terrible).

  • Do you participate in anything outside of TV and games?  Such as sports, outdoor hobbies, Nessy watcher, star gazer, etc.?
  • Are you still active in the military?  I.E. do you expect periods of inactivity due to military things?
  • What genre (or specific band if you feel the need) of music do you listen to?
  • If you had to choose to become any Disney princess, who would you choose and why?

Welcome Kazyn!

Perhaps we can play together in Smite sometime! I am still learning a lot about the game though.

What do you think of the Wheel of Time series thus far?

Which branch of the military are you in (if you're still actively in it)?

What would your ideal vacation consist of?

Looking forward to getting to know and playing with ya. What made you decide on a medic? I did not have a chance to try one during my short beta phase.

I mostly don't like the Seahawks because of some of their players and the Fail Mary Play, and the Bears because Im a Packer's fan.

Other hobbies?

I have recently gotten back into weightlifting pretty heavily since taking a break for a while.

Periods of downtime?

I am still on active duty, but unless its an emergency I usually have a good amount of lead time when I may have a change in my schedule.  I don't anticipate there being a long period of down more than maybe a few days here and there.

Favorite Music?

I like pretty much every popular genre except country, but Hard Rock/Metal is what I typically listen to in the car or when I am playing.

Disney Princess

I don't know if this counts but Mulan, she has won a war against the Huns, and I get to hang out with Mushu!

Hey Chaltier

Smite is a lot of fun but like any moba it takes a bit to get into because of learning all of the gods/champions

-WoT impressions?

I really like the Wheel of Time so far I am working on the seventh book so I still have another seven to read, but the story is enormous and the details in the book are really good.  I am looking forward to seeing how the storyline proceeds because it seems like I already know how its supposed to end with all of the prophicies being told throughout but there have been a lot of twists that I did not see coming so far so you never know.

-Branch of Military

I am in the Air Force

-Favorite vacation?

My family has recently been taking vacations to Galinburg, Tennessee and renting a cabin for a week or two.  That is nice because you can have days where you say in and just hang with the family or go out and hike or go to some of the attractions in town.  I would like to try that in Colorado or Utah as well just to see get to hike in the Rockies or go Skiing.

During the open beta I played a lot of warrior and I really liked it until I saw some videos on medic so I tried when the servers were up for OPS testing and got him to level 15 or so.  Really like the the play style and the way that the actuators (medic resource) work.  The fact that I have the option to heal and do damage sometimes with the same spell is also really nice and seemed to create some awesome build potentials.
