I feel dumb for asking this. But is a 6ms response rate on a monitor even noticeable?
-
(key word being dynamic as opposed to static). You basically have to judge the ms rate on a company to company basis. That being said... We have tons of smart people on this forum that can help with advice if you have some particular monitors in mind (Asus is personally my favorite company to purchase monitors from when I'm on a budget).

Yes and no... When they say that the response time is 1-5ms, 99% of the time they mean the grey to grey time (as opposed to the old black to white system that actually MEANT something). Unfortunately there is no industry standard set for the g2g response time so each company makes up their own (so they can basically say their response time is whatever they want). You also see companies doing the same thing when they claim to have a "dynamic" contrast ratio of 50 million to one (key...

Apparently there's been tons of issues with Nvidia's newest 320.18. Avoid updating from 314 if u can. I think this is why my 770GTX is performing like shit.

So I went to a bar the other night...left a $10 tip on $30 cuz it was an ultra dead night. On the way out the bartender said to her friend "thank god...he tipped horribly". Thoughts?

Yep. We enjoyed knowing right off the bat we were serving someone who wasn't costing us money. We were taxed for 10% of our total sales, so any time someone stiffed us, it cost us.
By the way... Standard drink tipping etiquette (from a bartender's point of view) is $1 per drink or 15% for any cocktail over $10.

Most bartenders would be pretty happy with that tip. >.<
I bartended for about 6 years and here's a pro-tip for everyone. If you're in an atmosphere where the bartender will remember you... Pre-tip. So in your case you'd give them the $10 when you ordered your first drink, then no tip for the rest. All the bartenders I've worked with preferred this and usually gave the customers who did this better service and stiffer drinks.
