Not a fan of the alliance policy that we have to be in the standing fleet channel in mumble if we're mining. Can't a guy watch netflix?

Nobody's saying you can't mute it... I think it's just for quick response if hostiles show up.

I'd imagine it's mainly there so you can unmute and start screaming your tackled. Most people won't text fleet chat in time to save you.
