I’ve been playing my DK since day one of Wrath of the Lich King was released. I’ve been on Stormreaver for about two years now and I’ve noticed your guild’s progression and I’ve always been impressed with what you accomplish with you raid schedule. I think I will be a perfect fit for your guild because I’m a working adult that loves to raid and will put in the work to be the best player I can be. My gaming history I started playing WOW in Vanilla and it was my first venture into pc gaming. All my life I had been a huge console gamer so it was a whole different world to me. I really got into Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Universe so I was really looking for a larger scale MMO experience. Needless to say I was in over my head and had no idea what I was doing. So back to console games I went until my roommate told me about Wrath of the Lich King. Death Knight sounded like the perfect class for me and I started learning as much as I could about the game and the class. My first raiding experience was Naxx and I was amazed on how much I loved raiding. I joined my first guild Lords of The Dead on Alliance Mug’thol. We did pretty solid through Ulduar and the guild broke up during the beginning of TOC. I was working at Circuit City at the time and several of my work friends had a guild called The Grateful Dead. This was my first 25M experience and I continued to get better and eventually became an officer and raid leader of the guild. Unfortunately Mug’thol was dying on Alliance side so we decided to transfer to Stormreaver. It wasn’t too long until the guild began to fall apart so me and several of my friends left to form our own guild Swagger. I was the GM of Swagger for almost two years. We continued to improve and climb the rankings until we cracked the top 7 guilds on the server during DS. We felt strongly we where ready to challenge the top 5 guilds on the server going into MOP. However real life happened right when MOP began and we lost 3 key members of our guild. We tried as hard as we could to recruit new players but we weren’t having success. We where approached by Baddies to merge and form a 25M guild. I’ve been an officer in the guild for the past 4 months. However I can’t maintain a consistent 4 night a week raiding schedule anymore. My girlfriend and her 4 year old daughter are moving in on April 13th and that’s where you guys come in J More about me I’m 29 years old I work at the corporate office for Farmland Foods in Kansas City. I work 8 to 4:30 Mon – Friday every week for the rest of my lifeJ I love sport especially football and basketball and I’m a very competitive person. I always challenge myself to be the best at whatever it is that I’m doing. I’m kind of a weird mix between Jock and Nerd. I love sports but also love gaming and Fantasy. I’m a huge fan on the Song of Ice and Fire book series. Most of you would know this from Game of Thrones on HBO. I also love Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit and pretty much any decent fantasy film. I also enjoy watching the Walking Dead, Vikings and Sons of Anarchy. I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend Shelley for 13 months and like I stated she and her 4 year old daughter are moving in on April 13th. I've always enjoyed videogames ever since I was five years old. My favorite game console was the Dreamcast. Soul Calibur, Shenmue I and II and Phantasy Star Online are some of my favorite games ever. I've pretty much purchased every addition on Madden ever made. I also love the Elder Scrolls series and am looking forward to the Elder Scrolls Online. I also enjoyed Japanese style rpg's. Lost Odyssey and Grandia II where some of my favorites.I also played the Old Republic, Tera and Guild Wars 2 for a short time. Why South of Heaven? Your mentality and raid times are absolutely perfect for me. You guys raid 9 hours a week but compete with guilds that raid more strenuous schedule. You also place value on personality and don’t just focus of skill. I’ve admired you guys form a distance (non stalker) for a long time now. I’ve seen a few of your streams and really noted how well your raids are conducted. I feel like your guild would be perfect for what I bring to the table. What I can bring to South of Heaven A competitive desire to be the best player I can be. I want to be the best DK on the server and I put the work into to help me reach that goal. I constantly look over logs and compare parses of other DK’s who outperformed me to see what I need to do differently. I feel like with similar gear levels I would be in that discussion. I am skilled and experienced in all three DK specs. I make sure to always keep up with new theory crafting discussion to make sure I’m on the cutting edge of my spec. I’m a consistent performer who will always be at raid on time prepared and ready to go. I’ve been a GM or Officer for the better part of three years now. I know what it takes to be successful in a guild. I will maintain 100% attendance and will always study every fight and have full consumables before the raid. I also don’t AFK during raids unless there’s an emergency where I have no other choice. I fully understand what it takes to be a successful raiding guild while maintaining a 9 hour raid schedule. Can you give me an example from t14 or current? Also your heroic experience so far this expansion is a bit behind what we usually look at, what contributed or caused this? Mort Posted March 29, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 29, 2013 We use Anti Magic Zone for several aoe intensive fights. Example Megaera's rampage.We also used it for Heroic Elegon for the three players soaking total annihilation. Attendance in our guild has been a significant issue and kept us from seeing more heroic content. My lack of progression this expansion is one of the big reason's I've monitored South of Heaven's progress. Prior to this tier my previous guild Swagger finished 9th in Dragon Soul two spots behind SoH on wowprogress.com. So I do have a strong history of clearing H content.
