[FFXIV] Xev Intro

What's up guys, this is Xev (Xevsth on FFXIV), Monk Specialist, and I am trialing for Team Sapphire for the FFXIV Chapter.

When it comes to raiding and experiences with it, I did play WoW for a time as a rogue, WotLK just started and formed a ministatic with friends I used to team with in other games. While in my belief atleast, we were highly successful in the content we did, our group personally was only 8/10 people and pugging the content and some other content discrepancies at the time turned us off of the game. Much much later on I move to FFXIV, I've always been on Leviathan, initially starting in 2.0 where I eventually found a static and progressed up up and away through content to down Twintania at not the fastest but a pretty good time, I believe it was either the last day before twister nerf or the day after, been too long. The lower party sizes were great but the real thing I loved in comparison to WoW was the individual responsibility per mechanics. At that point though, the game was early, and with Twintania on farm and not much else to do, once again retiring my character and saving some sweet moolah for icecream and popsicles until Heavensward (more accurately like 3 weeks after HW came out rip esos).

What else is there to know? I used to be highly competitive in my younger free time is every time days, enjoying Mechwarrior 4 Vengance, Counter-Strike, a bunch of PVP MMOs and shooters, and a bunch of stuff including, fighting games I'm not good at like SF3: 3rd Strike and Smash Bros Melee, along with many other things that slip my mind. Currently just enjoying my free time, as a Uni student for CS, dabbling in whatever I can when I have it.

P.S. If anyone wants to drop some Monk bombs / talk Monk, I'd probably be interested as a year or more of not playing probably has stuff missing from changes.

Welcome to the forums!

In traditional SoH fashion, you're going to have to pass through a series of very important questions.

I guess I will start second the barrage! (damnit Kytn!)

1. If you were a type of rock, what would you be?

2. Waffles or pancakes?

C.  Do you think numbering is an arbitrary system?

III.  Is this bothering you?

Five.  Is there a field of CS that you're more interested in than others?

That's all I have for now!

Also, Kytn's Lalafell question is a damn important one!

Despite my current stature as a Miqote, the #1 pet in my heart was always med/big sized dogs, usually spitz type looking breeds.

If I had no limits on money/space/time/knew how to train/everything, dreamdog would be an Alaskan Malamute (basically a beefy Siberian Husky).

Realisically, I would probably still be super happy and be easier to obtain a German Shepard.

Summer.

Tea, stay classy.

What is there to hate? Potatoes are simply potatoes, what you put in the ground is not my buisiness.

My heart says Roy/Captain Falcon, but when I see fantastic play, Marth stuff is beautiful.

I haven't leveled any subclasses to a competitive level as of yet, usually I play and specialize always as Assassin/Rogue characters/classes.

In most games especially moreso in games such as these, I loved maximum high-risk/reward melee gameplay and in 2.0 without Thieves, MNK was my choice.

That said, still interested in Ninja but leveling is horriffic, and dunno how my server ping would affect mudras and such.

.....

1) Break the rock, find the diamond.

2) I believe both are all about how good you drop the toppings, personally I cook pancakes.

C) 3.

III) Four.

Five) Not sure at the moment, the dream is being able to do highly technical game engine/combat systems, but honestly anywhere where you can actually feel achievement and progression in the job would be great.

Get WTFast, it's your best friend.. especially on ninja.  I've always had a great connection with the game servers.. but WTFast made playing ninja.. much more enjoyable.
