Hi there Andy. I think I remember seeing you along on a few of our runs. It'l be amazing having a thief along, they're strangely a rare breed in WvW. I understand being uncomfortable with new people, but during your 30-day recruit period, you'll need to move from 'stranger' to 'friend' in order to attain membership. So you can't be TOO shy.
