Kantankerous

We think one of our dogs was 4-5 years old when he was found on the street 3 years ago. I didn't know him for the first 3 months of his adoption, but he is an awesome dog, though he does have his issues. He's gotten better over time, but some of his issues we've just learned to deal with and work around.

I adopted a 4 or 5 year old German Short Haired Pointer 6 years ago. He's a great dog! He had some separation anxiety issues for the first 3-6 months I had him. He would find stuff to chew and it got expensive (a roomba, Ipod, my boots, etc.). Eventually he got into a routine and stopped a lot of that. Training helped, although he failed his manners class multiple times. I had to go into the class early and hide all the stuffed toys, otherwise he wouldn't pay attention and would disrupt the whole class trying to get at them.
