People who like to sit in on DnD sessions, please just watch the stream. It's disruptive when people are going in and out, muting and unmuting themselves, and Mumble guy has to announce all of it.

Supposedly you can toss it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before cutting and it won't be as bad.

I once saran wrapped my head when I had to use a mechanical slicer to slice 150lbs of shallots to make shallot butter. I feel your pain.

Only once, I followed a suggestion (while making a curry dish) to grate the onion rather than chop it. I understood the theory, which was that you could then squeeze the resultant onion-mush and get something with less water and more surface area that would brown faster. After doing this, I promised myself NEVER to grate an onion again as long as I live. It was a terrible, terrible experience and not worth the minor cooking benefit!
