beck
Hey all. I'll make this brief. I'm Beck (Mike in RL). Started gaming in UO where I was co-founder of The Phoenix Inquisition. From there, we moved to GW1 and worked our way to one of the top guilds in the game. Took a break from gaming for a few years before coming to GW2 one year ago. Started GW2 as a member of pDyn and things went where they went from there. I don't get alot of time to play these days. I teach college and am working on my specialist degree in counseling and psychotherapy, so that keeps me busy. When I do play, I'd prefer to be able to join in a ready-to-go WVW group and kill everything until it's all the way dead. When I'm not doing WVW, I spend my time wondering why I'm not doing WVW. That's about it!

Owl
Welcome! We do similar things in WVW, so that's good. Except, of course, we start our own group. Edited January 26, 2014 by Toobz
Tyrlis
Hi, and welcome! I too was only in this game for the WvW. But then they created ascended weapons and armor that I have to run dungeons to earn. So now I run dungeons before and after I WvW, so when I'm actually in WvW I win harder. Jackal
Welcome to the [soH], a guild where we all "win harder." I'm glad you kill things until they are all the way dead! The idea of only accomplishing semi-dead things leaves something to be desired. Edited January 26, 2014 by Jacked Jackal
Fera
Hey Beck, and welcome Believe me, I understand the time-limitations that accompany obtaining an advanced degree (or 2 ^^) and I respect and appreciate what you're putting yourself through; however, SoH has a rather rigorous 30-day recruit period in which we require our prospective members to be fairly active. Our primary objective is that you move from stranger to friend in that time, and that we're able to glean if we're both a good match for each other. Infrequent activity usually means new players won't make it through the voting process. If you think you'll be able to give us 3-4 evenings per week for 4 weeks, then Recruit status it is. If not, then may I suggest Mercenary status in game? It allows me to tag you with a few restrictions: 1) you only wear the SoH tag when you're with an SoH group and 2) you read and sign to our Code of Conduct. I offer this as an option for some folks and it's worked out well; some have even moved on to become Members. For now, I'll set you up on forums as a Guest so you can read the CoC and make use of the resources here. read and sign the Code of Conduct here GW2 Chapter new member orientation here I'll send you a guild invite as soon as I log in. Please accept and remember to click "represent" Cya in game!!
