Welcome to SoH, Reign! I also love your field of work. I currently work in a philosophy and religious studies department at a university in Boston (Northeastern). Our environmental ethics courses are a huge draw to students and the faculty member that teaches them has a big name in that field of research. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to organize an event with Bill McKibben last year because of this, but I've always wondered what impact the research has on practice.

Haha, I agree. I find I enjoy drinking events more once the game 'matures' a little bit, Everyone is very goal-driven at launch as we're getting things up and running, but once that new car smell wears off, it's nice to occasionally engage in activities that focus on social interaction. I imagine it'll take some time to get there what with all that Wildstar has to offer!

Haha, I call my best dance move the "white boy finger dance". That's when I can't find the beat so I let my index fingers to all the work while the rest of my body just kind of exists on the dance floor. Sounds like we're on the same plane. We have a history of hosting one drinking event each week. Currently the Guild Wars 2 chapter does drunken World vs World (not unlike Realm vs Realm from Dark Age of Camelot) on Saturday nights. Manhattans are my favorite, so I would love to hear some bourbon recommendations during one of these events! That is if Pride lets me play while drinking again. There's some embarrassing footage of my performance on the Internet while running under his command And thank you for the recommended creams. I'll have to pick up a dermatologist over the weekend. Hopefully there's one at the bar!

I second the request for dog pics! I'm not allowed to own one because of my lease and my working a 9 to 5 would be unfair to the pup. But I want to steal every dog I see on the street because dogs are awesome. We'll get to the kicking ass part once the game launches, but first a few questions for you: What's your best dance move? What's one of your guilty pleasures? What moment in your kids' childhoods are you going to tell their friends to embarrass them? And I have this weird rash. Can I send you pics and get your professional opinion on it? (Sorry! That was in poor taste, but I imagine you get a lot of questions like that.) Welcome to SoH, Arrythmia!

It's wonderful to have you aboard, Kendyl! I would like to echo Tyrlis' request for an embarrassing story about Pride and Vanity. They have always been picturesque since the move to Crystal Desert, but I watched all 8 seasons of Desperate Housewives... twice. There has to be something.

Turns out, if you call and harass Microsoft Customer Service enough, you can upgrade from Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit for free. Yay!

I feel your pain. We had an issue with our internet & cable service recently (only 3 days after it was hooked up!) and I was on the phone with tech support FOREVER. Dunno how many times I argued that I was not going to turn the box off and on again and yes I'd already tried that because I'm not a moron.

Welcome to SoH! I would love to see pics of some of your cross-stiching. 8-bit stitches would be a real treat. Glad to have more poly-gamerous players on board. We only have two official chapters going on, but once an admin bumps you to "Recruit" status, you'll be able to see the Gaming Buzz forum, which includes all kinds of titles.

Great to have you here, Solstice! It's a pleasant surprise The mesmer trainings were a lot of fun. My favorite was when Grieve had us all staring at the map when an enemy group broke into Garrison. They didn't see our huddle as they rushed to the gate, and we didn't see them because we all had the map open. Well, until someone (was it Jesuki?) said, "Um guys. There's a zerg right in front of us." You've got the GMs schedule, and there has been some banter and scheming about doing dungeons over the weekend. Glad you'll be on the roster so we can poke at you as these things come up.
